I highly advise that you turn off these settings. These settings draws way more GPU power and could cost performance issues. @Warframe

Definitely suspected something waswrong from the recent uptes... Thanks for sharing this workaround!
Keep in mind that nowadays most gpu are made to be able to run really really hot without being dommage, even if the hotspot can get over 100°c
exactly... he probably need a better Fan Profile or its just like that ... im AMD gpu
They can run very hot and throttle to stay the temperature at 100 but realistically i do not want that to ever happen because my room is already hot and the pc is giving more and more heat into the room. I live in asia and the temperature here is killing me.

Actually no, electromigration is still a thing.
If you wanna afk and not leave the game, open the Navigation. Saves power and temps.
Drops my GPU from 250W consumption in Orbiter to 120W in Navigation screen.
The most important setting is to set effect intesity to 200% and play all white energy.
railjack nav screen saves more power since it hides your warframe + steflos with white energy equiped on mag is actually really great especially when your room is dark
@@IsItFate Tried it, can't confirm. It actually increased to 135W avg. I don't know why🤦♂ Must be due to the fact I wasn't playing an all white max range Vortex Vauban in the previous mission.
Definitely something to keep in mind since I'm still running a 1060. I have a full size case with three original fans, and the water cooler's two blowing out the top vents so the air circulation is decent. Did a test by doing the old content for a hour before jumping into a Cavia mission, fog is on medium. Afterburner never went above 62c as far as I noticed, and I don't have anything overclocked.
1060 dude... it has 120 watt tdp. it probably cant even reach 90c with fans off.
Thx for the info! I started Warframe yesterday evening and was wandering why my MSI Gaming Laptop started to produce some "clicking" noises with highly ramped up fans. The next thing I noticed was the framerate, that was now significantly lower than a few months ago (I played Warframe last time in January).
I lowered SSAO from HIGH to MEDIUM and VF Quality from HIGH to MEDIUM as well and it seems... it solved my problem. This is nuts!
My Xbox series S is absolutely tanking these issues even with all those settings on it's still perfectly fine and running without issues
Because I've fan underneath my Xbox to keep the air flowing and my Xbox has enough space to breathe and just in case it does get
"too hot"
it has a safety measure that if it goes get too hot it will turn itself off to prevent overheating and frying the circuits which is after like 6-9 hours of non stop playing
(which I don't do I only do 6 hours of play take a 2 hour break and another 2 hours of play which is 8 hours a day of playing without ever worrying about my Xbox overheating)
My word of advice if your pc/console is getting too hot time how long it takes to get too hot and set up a schedule to take frequent breaks to allow it to cool down (or breathe as I refer it to)
so therefore lowering the risk of your pc/console from overheating to almost no worry but at the cost of giving up some gaming time
(Which to me is a fair trade)
Oof, ever had a Playstation? That shi be cooking up a barbecue while sounding like a vaccum
70°C is perfectly fine for an gpu, even 80's, most gpus can handle high temps, just dont let it go past 90-85°C, plus, if you want less temps and less power usage, you can always undervolt your gpu, it wont decrease fps, will make gpu runs cooler, and there is no risk
this is what i did on my laptop, and weirdly enough, even with just 5% undervolting, i get the same FPS and 20 degrees less!!!
What about using GeForce Now? That’s what I switched to after the graphics change I was on a series S but it doesn’t have an option to turn fog off
I’m having issues and I have 4090 I9 1300k 64GB ram!
did you undervolt the cpu+ turn off hyperthread and undervolt the gpu?
game also runs better if you force it only on P cores.
As long as it's under 90c I am not concerned. Though I would rather it be under 85c, under 80c is even better. As a laptop player, at least mine, 80-85 seems to be the norm when playing a game that requires some CPU or GPU power. It's now old, a 4800h, 32gb ram and a 1660ti. But it still works for the games I play. When it did start to overheat a year or so ago, changed the fans, thoroughly cleaned it and added quality thermal paste. Been good since. As long as you don't mind the fan noise anyway, i just like to think its warming up for takeoff.
nah bro if my gpu goes over 85 it goes in the trash.
@@seb3661 You likely have a lot more disposable income than I do. GPU's and CPU's, from what I have read, are safe up to 100C. It's not ideal but they should be able to handle it. Over 90c, as I said, I start paying more attention. But once I start having FPS issues due to age, I overclock and get a bit more time out of it. Then the temps are bound to rise, but as long it doesn't melt, I am fine with it. And when it does or will no longer play time to find the next laptop on the clearance or sale shelves due to being a generation or two old. And repeat the process.
@@Mandurath im from eastern europe, the avreage salary here is 300 euros bro
I've not encountered any of these issues...yet and I hope not to, Just hit MR 6, but issues like these can happen with anything at any time. I have had Fallout 4, Grim Dawn and maybe a couple others crash and go right to the Desktop and that was about it.
Video was helpful for these issues, thank you.
recently had it crash to desktop and open a warframe web page on memory issues until I turned down some of the newer settings, been fine since so might be related. on a 3060 ti but not sure if it was that as it was talking about memory, also on DDR4 16 gig
I have the same issues on console, but there is no Advanced options tab in the graphic settings. DE disabled fog on PS5 via a hotfix, but when Dante unbound arrived the fog was back. It is not that terrible compared to the beginning, but sometimes the fps drops are so Hard i have issues playing Warframe without some freezes. I love to play mag on the new tileset, but it makes no sense to play her with arca plasmor or the the incarnon Latron . It feels like the fps drop to 10 fps. These issues on PS5 are All over the open worlds. I hope DE will fix that in the future.
Big thanks for this tech piece. For what it's worth, with a GTX 1070 w/8MB and a 4K Samsung TV, I can run FSR2.2 upscaling at quality, graphics at high (except particle at medium) and all advanced settings on with GPU temperature going from 55C on desktop to 64C in mission.
mine run at 80 for 9hour straight. It just a gtx1650 4gb. Cheap to replace ?😅
how did you get that duviri pet skin?
Playing in 4k i can relate to that since whispers in the walls my gpu is almost constantly in high 70s degree, fyi i have an rtx 3090 and i run an i9 12900k 32gb ram playing in 4k with a 240hz monitor its really demanding but, my issues is when im in my orbiter not even mission the temps is 75C steady for no reason the game is in the background i game temps are around 80 always
Great video in explaining why all of a sudden running WarFrame was causing my system to over heat.
My 2060 suddenly started sounding like a jet playing wf and that has never happened to me
Same, my laptop rebooted after playing for about 90 minutes (I haven’t played in months but it never happened before), I reloaded the game and checked the temperature and it got up to 92 Celsius, I adjusted some settings and capped frames at 60 and its running like a champ at around 74 degrees. This literally happened like a couple hours ago and then the algorithm showed me this, I was worried that my system was giving way but perhaps it’s just the updates as ghs suggests.
I noticed you play at 144 framerate. I've had high temperature in certain games (not so much in warframe, though) and lowering the max framerate resulted in much less GPU temperature. I dunno if that would help your case.
My game straight up crashed while playing in the Archimedean tilesets, and now I know why. Thanks for the heads up.
Mobile warframe don't like them as well. 15 fps on those tilesets
My CPU was going over 100c, but I have an Intel i-9 12900KS which is known to get hot. I had to download Intel software that lets me tweak things in order to get my temps down. It still gets up to 90c sometimes, so I am gonna try this. Thanks for the help!
the only text to speech channel i regularly watch. Thanks for the tips
I play this on a switch light and having those two volumetric settings turned off has substantially helped
I thought this was a joke comment at first because I read "light switch" not "switch light"
maybe the DX12 when it exits the (beta) could do the trick - or better yet, maybe if they leave DX and go Vulcan API
Well, you have shadows and etc on. In every game I play that isn't PVP all extra XS are getting disabled as I don't need them to play the game I already have to deal with high ping so don't need the extra hurdles slowing me down.
song pl...just subbed. I had the same problem with overheating. Game cuts off and takes me to the website. 78c on a Ryzen 7 7800x3d which i thought was average
My PS5 has been doing pretty unless I run into a bunch of effect such as a Vauban spamming that suck in ability in one place and I walk into it
What's the song title?
Me still usjng a 10 year old pc for warframe medium to high setting 60 fps. Its hanging in there 😂
direct x 11 or 12?
I play on XB1S & it overheats the system if I don't have a fan right in front of it no matter what area I'm in.
It's the only one out of a couple hundred games so far that does this.
I have a 5700XT. If i record in Sanctum my FPS dips to 50s even if i have stable 120Fps anywhere else.
Tq mate
Oh, my goodness, 70 or 80 degrees is unacceptable to me. I would do everything to lower the temperature. I have evga 2070 super seating at high 40s degrees while keeping everything high, and low particle and fog. I just can't see stuff with them on.
On no other game does the fan on my Xbox Series X become audible. On Warframe that sucker works hard and the console case gets warm. It's been like that since I got my box. Reported it to DE a couple of years ago but they didn't seem interested.
Gtx 970, the rest is also a good few years old and i have zero issues.
Not 4k obviously, but never hotter than 60-62 .
My ps4 Tanked everything but makes a jet engine noise
I have the same problem with temp mainly on my cpu i have 3070 and a ryzen 9 5950x, and my cpu go as high as 80 degrees in my orbiter when swaping mods. Its not the case on other games. So no need to upgrade people.
So far ive had no issues on series s console no overheating or anything and game still run smoothly even on high settings
I would not be surprised if the fog is disabled or reduced by default on that edition of the game.
@@michaelhuss0on the S? Yeah probably, not on the X though.
Monitor can be an issue if you upgraded it to a higher refresh.
In the pc i used to play, zariman missions loaded near instantly
whispers in the walls missions then took about 3 minutes to load so I couldn't play in that pc anymore, squads would be disconected just by the time it took me to load into the map
and you know damn right they won't fix it! developers don't care anymore, either upgrade your pc or stop playing
well i guess instead of buying plat, I'll get a new pc, and DE won't get any money from me :)
ive had it turned off ever since that i've never notics anything wrong in the graphics.
Pro tip(for those who are okay with this), keep it cooler in your house/room. Not tryna state the obvious but cooler temperatures help machines run better and for longer. I’m not saying you have to set your thermostat to -50 degrees or whatever. Just a few degrees can make a real difference. I typically keep it around 68 in my home
Unfortunately, where I live I don't have access to central air
idk what u guys doing tbh im sitting in orbiter with 49 / 50 max 54 o: it goes up to 60-65 in missions with alot of stuff going on | AMD ryzen 5 3600 CPU / Radeon 5700 GPU / 16 gb ram. maybe anyone else with similar/same setup some other results?
Radeon Rx 5700 ? I have a Rx 6600 Xt ... i changed my fan profile so i can stay under 60~70s celcius but my GPU is being bottlenecked by my CPU and RAM which are really bad XD
I play on PS5 and the temperature of it is only warm, it never gets really hot and stays at a relative warm for me. The game only lags when there is a unstable player connection as a result of their wifi. My wifi that I use for my PS5 gaming is very good. I have motion blur turned off and the performance is greatly increased and enjoyable 😊👍!
Why not also use DLSS ?
I have been playing warframe on my 5 year old ps4 and everything runs smoothly except for loading into the mission.
I agree with everything… and the same is true for console by the way… only thing I have to mention though is Warframe is not new in any sense of the word… i fact it’s one of the oldest games I know of that’s still being updated and has a decent player base still… however this doesn’t change the fact that it is at present a very demanding game when it comes to graphics and physics
my pc on warframe is getting max 60 c 65c on old pc it was hot game but now its stone cold gaming
duvarian open world plus undercroft is killing my 10 years old pc. Game crush instantly when getting into undercroft no matter the setting
My new xbox even overheats whenever I try doing the new stuff
My old rx580 stays at 75-77 at high, 63-72 at mid, i capped my max fps to 60 and if im afk or not moving the fps is capped at 30. Cap your fps in your gpu driver people.
first of all get a CPU monitoring software and check for throttling and high cpu usage, I seriously doubt warframe is so GPU hungry, if Cpu temps are spooky you might want to try disabling virtualization and intel turbo boost in the BIOS. These really helped a ton especially with newer more demanding games.
limit your fps when uncapped for me its over 400fps, and my pc is getting hot i just limit it to 165 since thats my monitor refresh. when you alt tab the game runs uncapped so that most likely why people seeing high temps when idle. doing something else
My gpu is at 65(60 when it s not 45C outside lmao) when playing warframe with everything on high so I'm happy
i7 14th gen, 64ram, 4070ti and Warframe is the only game that stutters. I tried like every setting (in game, monitor, nvidia) and nothing fixed it
i have 0 issues at max settings and the temp is only 50 C°
Since then forced us to move from classic engine to enhanced our pcs are chocking.
Just waiting for them to add FSR 3..
I think my Switch graphics are automatically decreased cause I get more of a fan push when I'm playing Fortnite then when I'm on Warframe. But thankyou for the heads up - I'll take a look at my settings next time I'm on.
Graphics and resolution is drastically reduced on switch vs. PC.
4090 and Ryzen 9 7950X3D 64 gb ddr5 ram 2 tb storage and high end motherboard, at 1440p max settings all is good unless playing with squad, solo play is perfect
You don't have to worry until it reaches like 95C, newer graphics cards (like since RTX2000) are made so that they can run hotter.
God no. I don't want it to even reach in 90c knowing I'm living in fire nation (Asia).
I want the old graphics back. It looked better and had higher fps. They removed it cos it was harder to develop game on it, it required skill.
Just wait till it goes next gen for consoles. Along with Black desert, PoE, etc.
This makes me wonder if Warframe on the Switch is even worth it
80-90c is a normal temp when playing games though.
I have a rtx 3060 ti and my pc runs hot even though it does my temperatures are always normal
Top end graphics cards have never been cheap lol thanks for the heads up. And also this isn’t the only 10 year old ish game that looks like a new game
i've got a gt 1050 ti, no problems with overheating.
For me everything is normal, 60-65 degrees for gpu and cpu, high fullhd. 5600g rtx 2060
Damn I'm luck them, i dont have problems at all
80C is kind normal can get lower if well ventilated and recently change thermal paste, and graphics problems can be solved with a disk cleanup of the shaders... if not them yes can be the game, but Its not "killing" the pc :v
Honestly, DD2 is still in a bad place hardware wise, they need to continue adding updates to the games specs, especially in cities as it drops to 30fps and will strain any pc or console to its limits.
It’s been my cpu running hot. My GPU has seemed fine. I have a 3090 and an amd ryzen 7 5700. PC was built about 3 years ago.
I was ready to take it somewhere to have the liquid cooling maintenanced. I’ll check this out first. thanks.
And here i am, still using 1650
Bruh me playing with an intel hd integrated graphics card and happy 😂😂
Something that might help you; turning on V-Sync, I have noticed on some games I play that turning V-Sync off causes the GPU to work harder to maintain a consistent framerate, which causes it to heat up due to having to draw more power. So turning on V-Sync might help your temperature problem. For me personally, when I play modern games at max settings, my GPU's temperature sits at around 50-60 degrees with V-Sync on, but the moment I turn V-Sync off, the temperature shoots up into the 70s
I personally don't like volumetric things fog, light whatever. It looks like vape nation occupied my orbiter.
Speech cadence reminds me of ai
I don't buy a decent GPU only for it to be pampered, I buy a decent GPU for it to be USED. What's the point then?
81°C isn't harmful for your GPU lol
Console players don't have your issues if they are just buy a cooling fan but another thing this is probably just your PC you should mention what type you use
Where's the future? 😢
Warframe is 11 years old… it’s definitely not new…
If anyone in the comments see this let me know if lavos is fun and not super hard to use
What weapon is he using?
I think phage
@@speltarp2026 you are correct thx you sir!!!
Probably not important but Warframe is a cpu intensive game rather than a gpu
dont put console in the title btw you cant change these settings you can do basic stuff like brightness
my maximum temp on my laptop is 91 degrees, what you talking about ...
Gaming laptops are meant to run hot but you can significantly decreased temps by over 20c if you underclock your CPU and turn off intels turbo boost.
@@hiki2930 mine is not gaming tho , gaming on hp notebook
80c especially nowadays doesnt matter my dud 90c is when you should worry basically 85 below is fine
i think manufacturers specs are probably better then a broad/blanket statement.
the higher the temp the less life of the piece(s) of hardware =)
thats not how this works at all. sure lowering those settings helps with perfromance, no brainer...
but temperature is not a control or performance measurement. if it's high you just need better cooling. considering you said 2070? that thing's cooling paste probably dry af after those years. even if it was bought later it dries on the shelf.
I play games on unlocked fps so it is always at 99% gpu use so always the highest temperature. so ''this area makes my gpu hotter'' is not a problem, if anything it's good, it shows you have a cooling problem. 2070 is way too low tdp to go so hot.
the only measurement to see if the settings are good is if you reach your desired framerate or stay within total gpu/memory use- NOT TEMPERATURE !
later in the video you show msi afterburner on 100% power use. bad idea since 2000 series the boosting program is way too overtuned. you can most of the cases run at like 80% power with EXACT same clocks.(thus performance) (tune it your self by lowering power % while gpu on max use and check if core clock drops then go back above so clock doesn't drop)
dont need a nasa computer 3070ti runs this on 1440p 120-170 fps
#offtopic No way, an Oberon in SP? Tell me you have a build video on your channel, recently I gave up finding a build for Oberon.
"I know that some of you like their game to be as stunning as possible, but if your system can't handle it: don't risk it."
Don't tell me how to play Cyberpunk!
On a serious note: my GPU (3070) fans ramp up like crazy whenever there's a cutscene in Warframe for some reason, even though it doesn't struggle during actual gameplay.

This ai voice hurts my brain...
The aussie ai voice that i use for my vids is so much better
I'm afraid its a misconception that NASA has good rigs for gaming... Just saying.
After almost 11 years of supporting DE with well over 7k u.s.d in store purchases and trying to be a somewhat positive player for the most part I got Banned from the game today for God knows what, DE won't tell me. The only thing I can think of I say in the region lately was a political answer to some ones questions that I don't think was enough to take my account that's worth almost 8,000k real money. DE has been taken over like most companies by people who will silence you if they don't like your opinion. I will no longer support any company that runs games with in-game purchases, back to single player off line gaming. Put yourself in my shoes 11 years of supporting them financially and invested time of my life just to get banned out of nowhere. I have never had a warning for anything so this is straight up bs and personal on their end. That said I will be exposing them in the same amount of effort I spent playing their game. Think about spending your time and money on games like warframe or companies like DE that can take it all away just because they didn't like what you said and won't even give you a warning....
The prime issue involving high part temperatures, is simply the weather where you live.
My RX 6700 XT rests at a consistent 56°C under full load, sometimes a little higher, like 64°C for example, but in games like Arma 3, its generally not that high.
I recommend getting your air conditioning checked, or buy a portable one specifically for the room your system is in.
