The fact they showed a new Blondie song, never before played on radio etc, shows the impact of this great song and the fact that Blondie continue to make great new music and future classics. Love it!
I never imagined they could come back and make such a great track, so powerfull, pop rock, so Blondie in 1979. I'm really excited now about the album!!
Debbie looking Great.. Loving this Gypsie Style Dress sooooo cooool ..Debs.....Band sounding Great Luv To Clem & Chris ....cant wait to see you in Manchester! on the 16th xxxx Welcome back ..there will be 7 of us coming from Chester to see you and Di has bought a Blondie dress to wear there .. :) :) :) :) When I met Debbie she was so polite and gracious and held my hand...Ive never felt anything amazing like that since Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh xx Love mike xxx
Excellent new song from their soon to be released album Panic of Girls!!! Saw them last year in Atlanta at Chastain, can't wait to see them again this year.
well done debbie job well done still sounding as great as ever with this new song hopefully will be a hit the band sounds still amazing kept up the good work please do Portsmouth next time your in the uk! lol
Have a look at this one ...... Blondie - Angels On The Balcony ..... check it out from 3.10 when Deb leaves the stage and lets the boys have a jam ..... Clems' drumming is awesome!
What a great song. I love the Frankenstein boots and the ridiculous v shaped skirt. Must be the punk rocker in her. She could have easily stepped on stage looking like she did in 1977.
Well we may have a long wait for the album. It seems either Jimmy Destri is holding up the albums release or they are having trouble finding a company to release it. Or both.
me thinks this could be another 'maria' if handled right; [i have no real idea wot i'm talking about!] .....only.......i'm getting the same buzz from this as i did from 'maria'... total, pure, gorgeous BLONDIE!.......BEST SINCE 'NO EXIT';.....IMHO!
@elspithreid Hi El. Hard to get Debbie unless you get her at or near a concert(which I haven't done). But if you go on Facebook, you can befriend Chris Stein, her ex boyfriend and leader ,with Debbie,of Blondie, and Jimmy Destri, the ex organist, who wrote Atomic,Maria, and other masterpieces.and they're on alot.
@shelton442us How is Jimmy holding up the release? I thought Jimmy was partially involved in writing some of the material? It's not like he's estranged and suing the band like Infante and Harrison, right? I'm very curious to hear what your source is on this. If it's the later being not having a label to release this why has the band been talking about this album saying it's almost done and will released without having a company to release it? That doesn't make sense.
As much as i love Blondie and 'Mother', I can't for the life of me understand why this(mother) is released as a single ahead of 'What i heard'. 'What I Heard' is a much more commercial track (far stronger) and would receive air play. Still at least something (anything) is getting released finally.
I've been to their concert in Isle of Wight Festival but didn't realise this was a new song. Very good melody, I can't stop listening to it. It's incredible to know that they still got it; They are together after so much time and Debbie still rocks. It's a lesson. Check my blog w w w . pedrocaiado . com
Classic Blondie, one day all bands will worship at their feet.
Blondie is a Band for the Ages.....pick a decade, any decade.....They Rock.....
OMG, blondie never let me down! This song is f***ing great,I'm sure it will hit the charts.Debbie looks lovely, she's so beautiful
This is really refreshing.....I have been a Blondie fan since way back in '79 and Blondie is still my favorite band!
The fact they showed a new Blondie song, never before played on radio etc, shows the impact of this great song and the fact that Blondie continue to make great new music and future classics. Love it!
Debbie is 65 today and still sounding and looking incredible...I love this track;it's the upbeat blondie song we've all been hoping for!
CLASSIC BLONDIE.
BUT STILL VERY MODERN.
SHOWS HOW AHEAD OF THEIR TIME THIS UNIQUE BAND WERE.
TOTAL CLASS.
Well, from 2014 to 2024 you and the lads are still top class, Debs, keep on rockin', Princess.
I never imagined they could come back and make such a great track, so powerfull, pop rock, so Blondie in 1979. I'm really excited now about the album!!

The Queen of the punk
67 yrs old? wtf? see, there is a God! and Hes given us...life, the ability to love, rock and roll, and Deborah Harry. yep.
More of Tommy Kessler! Very cool...great performance!
What a great song. I love the Frankenstein boots and the ridiculous v shaped skirt. Must be the punk rocker in her. She could have easily stepped on stage looking like she did in 1977.
Even tho the crowd was less at Somerset House (13-07-11) The atmosphere was just as electric!!! GO BLONDIE!!!
I wonder if I can get the top three "Highest Rated Comments" for this song?
I told you i'd be cool
but I'm feeling like a fool
but I got sucked into your crazy
But it wont phase me
the outfit she is wearing is from the painting, that is going to be on the new album
@johnyrat As far as I know it comes out in September!
I know it's ages away!! :(
Should definitely be worth the wait though!!
Caroline XOXO
@Spudnikie I know, ME TOO!!!! September is too far away!!!!
Caroline XOXO
1) The new album should be superb and back to their rock n roll of the late 1980's
2) Clem Burke is God.
At leat blondie's stil alive. Many rock bands, Punk bands are dead.
MINT!
Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing song. Anyone know who wrote it?
сколько лет они на сцене А юношеский задор присутствует!
Well we may have a long wait for the album. It seems either Jimmy Destri is holding up the albums release or they are having trouble finding a company to release it. Or both.
Was there never a studio version of this song? Can’t find it.
me thinks this could be another 'maria' if handled right; [i have no real idea wot i'm talking about!] .....only.......i'm getting the same buzz from this as i did from 'maria'... total, pure, gorgeous BLONDIE!.......BEST SINCE 'NO EXIT';.....IMHO!

I also don't get why Mother is the lead single and not What I Heard. Also I like this live version of What I heard much more than the studio version.
As much as i love Blondie and 'Mother', I can't for the life of me understand why this(mother) is released as a single ahead of 'What i heard'.
'What I Heard' is a much more commercial track (far stronger) and would receive air play.
