I have a brother who constantly complains about his life and how horrible it is but does absolutely nothing to change it. The fact that you actually have something to complain about yet you fight everyday to make your life have meaning and purpose is inspirational to me.
Anthony this video has given me life! A few years back I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. I use to be a HUGE photographer too but when my muscles start to deteriorate I found I could no longer hold my camera. It would make me so angry because it frustrated me. I could no longer do my passion. My camera has not been in its bag, under my stairs for 5 years. Seeing how you have managed to rig it to your chair, as I said before has given me life. As soon as I've finished my breathing treatments, I will be going and getting my camera out and finding a way to attach it to my chair and reignite a passion I had for so many years. Thank you for sharing ur story. Oh and i also know how u feel for all the whys. I got diagnosed with MD when i was 20, I'm now 28 and even now i ask why. U r not alone in this journey!! Keep smiling!! Xx
What a badass human being! You are so right, Anthony! We do take so much for granted. We look forward to so many endings...the end of a shift, work week, graduations. We plan for Christmas and vacation, all the while we forget to live. We forget to live in the moment and for every moment as they ALL are treasures, gifts that are not renewable. Thanks, Anthony. You reminded me to remember and consider just that. Keep being awesome and inspiring others to be the same. Go get your dreams!
Your photographs most certainly ARE beautiful. They are arresting and they do make you think and feel and react to the subjects in them. You are very talented at creating and capturing expressive visual compositions. Keep up the beautiful work.
I was a caregiver and helped 3 people with AlS one of them was in his 20's as well .I really hope a cure is developed soon ! You are a beautiful, skilled photographer! I am so in aw that you have found a way to continue your passion ! You give hope & inspiration to many. Take care ♥️
Who would dislike this informative video. The resilience that you are showing in this video is so motivating. I had read your ad on CL because I was searching for a photographer and decided to watch your story. I do know someone that may be a good fit if you don’t find someone. Take care
What a beautiful man and absolutely exquisite soul you are Anthony. I’m blown away by your spirit! May God bless you and your beautiful mother. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️

Anthony, I’ve been following your journey for a few years now. You’ve always been such an inspiration for me and I thank you for that. You’re a fighter ❤️ love from Argentina
Incredibly inspiring dude. Im sorry this happened to you, and im so glad you have found a way to continue doing what you love no matter what. Your photography is amazing
Anthony... your pictures are amazing...thank you for sharing your talent with us. Sending you love and light and good vibes... You are truly beautiful ... PEACE....and be wild..!!
I love your work! Gritty, raw, human. Life is messy, crazy and beautiful, and I think your photos capture it in a very real way. God bless you. You're right, it's not fair. I'm so sorry this happened to you. We have Huntington's disease that runs in our family, it's destructive as well. It's so hard watching your family suffer. ❤
Hi Anthony, This is the second time I have looked at your video. What inspired me to look at your video was your ALS journey. My grandfather died of this disease back in 1976. He was 66. years of age when he died. At that time not a lot was known about what caused it. My grandfather was an oil man. He used to fix peoples furnaces. He also smoked a pipe. I often wonder if the type of work he did contributed in any way to his condition. I remember what it was like for him. My grandmother used to make him Lobster thermador as it was his favorite dish and used to bring him some happiness. As a family, we did what we could do for him. I am going to pray for you Anthony. FYI I love photography too. You are quite talented. Warm Regards, Joann
I love your photography. Thank you for bringing a different light to ppl who view your work, it’s deep, sad, funny and insightful and also beautiful. God Bless.
Stunning photography! So happy you can continue to take photos, because you are truly talented. I hope you are well, and i hope your mother is doing good as well.
So glad you're able to keep doing this Anthony, I've been following your journey since the Ice Bucket Challenge. Please keep bringing us updates as long as you are able.
Your photos are stunning. You are exactly right - they provide an emotional connection for everyone that sees each of them and the objects/people in them. Your spirit and dedication are equally stunning.
OMG!! You are SO SO SO talented! You are an inspiration. Continue to carry on with your dream that you love as it is the best medicine for your soul. Praying for you and your mother.
Wow. THIS VIDEO is the best I’ve seen in a long time. It just brings you in and forever imprints it’s message. THAT is cool. THANK YOU. I needed that, and didn’t know it.
You are my inspiration. I suffer from chronic pain but I know we are all capable of thriving, just like you are doing with your photography. Thank you for these videos.
I’m a 31 year old mother of 3 young children, ALS is a huge possibility for me and you’re honesty and heart in this video made me feel less afraid of what comes next. Thank you so much for being you.
Phil Fry we are in the diagnose process. I have been extremely sick for the last few months and I was told a week ago that ALS is now on the table of what I could have but it takes months to actually come to a diagnosis.
Your photography is beautiful...A real talent! Hoping and praying for a cure for this horrible illness... Much love and positive vibes! So inspiring. Bless your sweet Mom as well. ❤️
Anthony, your photos are raw, powerful, and Beautiful, just like you!! Sending prayers and light and never stop being a shutter bug Sweetie!!📷📷📷📷📷💜💜💜💜💜 Much Love and Namaste.
Anthony, you inspire me on so many levels. I love your photography. You capture everyday people going about their lives with brilliant, winning images. Thank you for brightening my day. 🌝🌹🌝
I am in my mid fifties and have lived the majority of my life in North western Canada. I don't think that young people today could possibly understand how very much the world has changed for the better, up here at least, since my childhood. When I was a child, any sort of defect was considered a source of great shame for a family and was kept hidden well away from the community at large. Disabled children rode on their own "special" short busses to their own "special" little schools. Then they went to their special homes, usually institutions or at best, group homes. Rarely were special needs children kept in their family home beyond infancy. I was an adult before I even saw a real life person in a wheelchair, and when I did, I had no idea what to do with my eyes. Despite my very best efforts, the situation was exquisitely uncomfortable for all involved. Thankfully, I recognized the absurdity of the situation where simply having to interact with someone using wheels to get around could cause such intense discomfort for an able bodied person, and I took it upon myself to get my s**t sorted out asap. I'm happy to report that I no longer find it the slightest bit uncomfortable to socialize with someone with any sort of disability. I am counting on the new generation of adults and the teens of today who stand poised to follow them, to keep fighting for acceptance of all sorts of "differences" in people around us. Sure things have improved but we still have a long Long way to go. We can do better. So why not do better?
Yes! Thank you for such a thoughtful comment. i'm blind, and when I started school at age five, mine was the only school in my county that worked specifically with blind kids, kids with development or behavior problems, hard of hearing or deaf, etc. We had a lot of other kids who weren't disable in any way. All I'm getting at is, I rode one of those shorter buses, but went to public school my entire life, and I am proud of that, so glad I did. Ii won't get into the public school vs school for (insert disability here) debate, just grateful for what I had. So, so glad you recognized the awkwardneess of your encounter and decided to get your own responses sorted. i'm so happy for you that now you can interact with people with any disability with ease. We need more people like you. Thank you for sharing your story.
I know every aspect of life that they're going through. My grandfather has had this disease for 5 years. It hurts seeing him this way, remembering everything that he was capable of; Remembering how he taught me how to work with my hands for a living. Its hard taking care of the ones who once took care of you, and this video is simultaneously sad, inspiring, and beautiful.
Thinking of you and wishing you lots of success. Love that despite of everything you are following your true passion and inspiring others to do the same.
