  • Again a very all over the place video just talking about my childhood my mom and her struggles a bit. My dad and his stroke as well his death and the best of what I can remember after wards too. I just feel when you’re talking about your trauma or your story there shouldn’t be a script and it shouldn’t be edited in anyway. It your brain letting it self work through the trauma and pain and at a pace it feels safe to talk about in the moment so let it. It can feel so healing afterwards so give it try let a tape recorder roll or a camera, and it can only be for you

Yeah. I don't know if people truly MEAN to be inconsiderate, but the do say an awful lot of stuff that is, at the very least, ill-considered. A lot of it is socially conditioned. The things people think they're supposed to say in a particular situation. It's habit more than malice, I think. Most of the time. BUT I know, too, from my own experiences, that the empty platitudes most people give that are supposed to make "you feel better" or "be grateful" for whatever you DID get, when they have no idea about your life just don't cut it, do they?

Did your dad have a parent in the war? Did your mom? It's a puzzle. Respect to you for keeping it together. Peace to you.
