Honestly, I don't know if it's depressing or hilarious seeing Gendo wearing a Star Trek Visor and rambling the same stuff and being a bad father fourteen years later even after SEELE is dead and everyone else has left except for Fuyutsuki, who just doesn't seem to care anymore. Gendo's almost a parody of himself at this point.
