Navratri - It literally means nine nights.
The festival typically falls four times in a year. However, the Sharada Navaratri during autumn (September-October) is the most celebrated, and the Vasanta Navaratri during spring (March-April) is the next most significant Navratri.
The prominent story associated with Navratri is the battle that took place between goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura, who represents egotism. All the nine days of the festival are dedicated to each distinct avatar of the goddess, and each of these days has a significant colour attached to it.
Like Vishnu for Shakthi also has 10 incarnations.
They are Shailputri, Brahmcharni, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayini, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.
First three days
The goddess is separated as a spiritual force called Durga also known as Kali in order to destroy all our impurities.
Second three days
The Mother is adored as a giver of spiritual wealth, Lakshmi, who is considered to have the power of bestowing on her devotees inexhaustible wealth, as she is the goddess of wealth.
Final three days
The final set of three days is spent in worshiping the goddess of wisdom, Saraswati. In order to have all-round success in life, believers seek the blessings of all three aspects of the divine femininity, hence the nine nights of worship.
In South India, people set up steps and place idols on them. This is known as golu. Predominantly with that of the gods and goddesses depicting mythology.
Do we need to take head bath daily? If we use the bed.
At what time we should pooja? Morning and also Evening from 6PM.
How many faced lamps we should light? Morning and Evening? 5 faces better
How many steps we need to keep? 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 like that odd number.
What are the must bommais and most important? Single sense toys to Devathas.
What should we keep in thamboolam to offer? To whom we have to give? Shown in the video
Do we need to take Arati daily? What should we do arati water? Yes. Pour in Tulsi or plants
Can we study on Saraswathi pooja day? No.
What is agenda deepam? Explained in the video
Do we have to put kolam in the vassal in the evening also? Better
How to arrange kalasam? Explained in the video.
Can we clean the house these days?
No.
Can the gents haircut in these 9 days?
No.
We should not sleep in the afternoon or atleast after lighting the lamp.
We should not stitch in the house.

Vanakam Mami, we are doing navarathiry poojai for past 29years. As per our family tradition we don't pray during morning because ambal doing tavam. So doing doing poojai will disturb ambal tavam. So only night poojai also after sunset ( my place sunset around 7.30pm)..
Also as you said no sewing cleaning, watching TV with low volume, no talipoo also because this sound.might disturb ambal tavam. We don't do kolu but kalasam deepam ambal vigarga poojai. Durga saptasathi, lalitha trisathi, lalitha saharanamam, Durga Lakshmi Saraswati asthothiram plus some kavasam and strotram. Usually poojai ends around 10.30pm.

there are actually four Navaratri which comes in a year= Sharada Navaratri(We call it "Sharodiya Durgotsob"),Vasanta Navaratri(Hindi speakers call it Chaitra Navaratri,we don't celebrate it though),and other two Navaratri which are called Gupt Navaratri. The "Gupt Navaratri" is mainly observed by Shaktas(Not Bengali Shaktas),Sadhaks and Tantriks. Since the Tantra practices are highly esoteric,this Gupta Navaratri is observed by a few people only 😊

So start with Vinayaghar slogham, then Om Namah Shivay and Then Durgai, Lakshmi and Saraswati slogham.
Try to chant Lalitha Sahasranamam Slogham and Kanakha dara slogham.
