I was like 5 when listening to this version, I have been searching for this for years, but kept on finding only Zager &Evans, so finally we`re here.great song!
hooooo my good , hi have been looking all over the internet for this version , best moments of my youth , thank you sooooooooooooooooooooo much for sharing , you ARE BIG!!!!!!
How did you learn about the singer name? How did you learn where she is from? I can't find ANY information about her, as well as any other singles or LP records. The only thing I can find is the name and single "In the Year 2525 / Yesterday Is Gone" released in 1983. No informations about the release nor the singer available. I couldn't find it in English, not even German Wikipedia. Article about the song itself (an original 1968 issue by Zager & Evans) doesn't include any covers. Maybe she isn't very famous. Here's the thing: I couldn't find any information on Wikipedia. Okay. But that I fail to find any informations webwide? I used Google to track down basic informations - fail. Not only that Google censors the search results to protect personal informations. Discogs and pretty much any other records dealing sites do not have enough information about her and her releases. I'm pretty sure she didn't release just this one single, right? There must be some informations out there...
Well, the 7" version is around 3 minutes long, as usual. This is 12" version, an extended mix. Dance mix extended 12" records were pretty common back in 70's and 80's, this is no rarity...
Hahaha, I, too, belong to those who had been searching for this version FOREVER! Thank you so much for posting it and finally enlighten me with who the singer is. I also have a version on a tape, recorded from the radio in the 80's. Awesome!
I just discovered the original 1969 recording of this just the other day. Was looking for remixes and came across this, and let me tell you, she ROCKS! But did she record anything else other than this because I can't seem to find anything about her anywhere!
Same. I can't find anything, not even a small glimps of who she is, only this artist name, which I don't even know if it's even her real name. I don't believe this is the only record she made...
fantastic job !! ~ thanks ~ a really classic song ~ did you know the original artist (Denny Zager of Zager & Evans) has been making beautiful guitars for over forty years and continues strong to this day. You did a perfect job with this extended mix and Jane Rossi sounds great. Cheers from Craig
I thought the name sounded familiar. Very good dance song for 1983, according to someone down the bottom. Googling funds and older woman that looks like her.
When she sings it, it's just a song. When Zager and Evans sang it, it seemed more like a warning or even prophecy
Yeah
We won't need until the year 2525 to fulfill all listed in this song.
i realize I'm kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
@Joel Zeke Lately I have been using flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Ronnie Randy definitely, been using FlixZone for since march myself :)

7:00 ומטה דקות בדיוק של השיר היפה - 2525 שנת .. של הצמד - זאגר ואוואנס
אני נותן לביצוע השיר 10 10 עשר ...!!
still the best remake but i agree with Moonlighter it goes on too long however that's what dance remixes do lol!

10 yes was used twice but cannot change the flow not that i used your song
Questa cover la considero meglio dell'originale
I'm from the year 2525 everything in the song is true . save humanity and kill all robots. ......!!!
Robots have more rights to be here then us humans. We are only destroying the earth, robots wil save it!
Weird... my last name's Rossi.
Great upbeat arrangement of this song .I`d say it`s the best, but it didn`t need to go so long .
Sorry the song irratated all your sensibilities, but not all songs can be shortened for those suffering attention defecate disorders😑
