Looks like a great cooler. One we would expect from EK. I do have one question: you said that the tubing is 40 cm - while you demonstrated that this is sufficient for a compact case, how about larger EATX cases? Something you might like to investigate on AIOs in general is how much of the cooling is due to the pump and reservoir and how much is due to the fans? Or, what happens if you put different fans on an AIO?
Generally speaking it's a combination of pump, cold plate design, radiator efficiency and fans. Good fans have a big impact on performance though. 400mm tubing length should be good for most cases.
Personally, switched from the corsair h150I elite lcd, pump whine was obnoxious. Performance wise, I see a massive decrease in CPU temp onNucleus, might be because I changed how I applied the themal paste. If you don't mind corsair pump whine (high pitch sound), both are great choices.
For some reason, after I installed mines, when I try to change the rgb colors, when I select a color the rgb on the aio will show me a different color, why is that?
That's a great question, it seems to high very slightly better cooling in these tests and very slightly higher noise level It's a toss up in my books. I'm getting the EK on Saturday I can report my performance after I install it.
I had one of their previous versions. that thing is still running good on my plex server with no other fans running in the case except on the 3 on the rad, it keeps the 13600k at 30 degrees or less.
I'm not really sure at this point other then a fault pump how many one of these out do the other but I'd have to see this one smash the Arctic line as there's pretty much sits at the top for AIOs
Gamers nexus’s did test both. The ek beat it just a little. Technically… I went with ek due to them making an aio in all white. Because that matters to me.
...They do! In both the 240 and 360. Both considerably cheaper too. But you sometimes have to buy their blacked out AIOs directly, as a lot of retailers don't pick them up. "EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark"
It still has the bad tube mounting from the block. It's annoying with 4 sticks of RAM. Possibly bending the 1st slot a little if you want the pump block facing the "proper way". I had to rotate the block so tubes come from the bottom way so they wont get in the way of RAM. Standard ASUS ATX board. Other manufacturers have much better solutions, tubes go straight up from the block and not have this weird non fully rotateable angle. The exact same issue with their original AIO a few years back
The tubes are a little different. They are side by side this time. I had it mounted with the tubes by the side of the RAM and there was plenty of clearance. The tubes have more rotation this time compared with the original EK-AIO.
Still Arctic liquid freezer 2 is best price to noise/performance AIO on the market. EK is loud, and when set to same noise levels as Arctic, Arctic LF leave EK in the dust. For the price difference you can mount P12 max from Arctic on the Liquid Freezer, and again beat EK by far. Nucleus is good AIO but not the best, Arctic Liquid freezer 2 is still the king, especially if you upgrade to P12 max fans.
That's not really true anymore. Too many good value coolers have hit the market since then, even this EK model has a black edition that regularly sells for $130, which is about what the Arctic goes for. Not saying the Arctic is bad, just performance and price wise it has dropped a bit since it released back in 2021.
Wrong. Arctic can't compete with modern AIOs that are capable of 3000+ RPM. Larger rads don't mean anything if the water moves around like syrup. Noise is a copout argument. You're a gamer, you'll be using headphones while gaming anyway, and most of that pump noise will be drawn out by case fans.
@@SLSAMG I agree with your first part, but noise can be a very valid argument. This idea that you would game only with headphones is silly (no offense). Two reasons why: 1. Open back headphones. They carry a larger sound stage and work really well with virtual surround... but since they are open back you still hear everything in your surroundings, including PC. 2. Good speaker system. You lose out on an amazing audio experience if you only go with headphones. For example, if you have a pair of good bookshelf speakers on your desk, such as those made by Edifier (roughly around $100-130), you can literally feel the sound blasting your way as the bass carries with it a kind of weight that is very immersive. In both instances you can completely hear a loud PC and it can be distracting.
@@SLSAMG Think about it. You are effectively suggesting that gaming must be done with headphones, likely under the misguided belief that it gives the best experience to the player. Such a notion is false. Good speakers with bass offer a much better experience when done at a certain level. Its the difference between listening to music on your headphones and going to a live concert while being in the front row. Alternatively, open back headphones are a thing, especially with audiophile grade cans. Why would you discount those? The only reason I can think of that you would do so, is due to a limited knowledge regarding the audio side of things. The only reason someone would likely feel the need (emphasis on need) to use headphones for gaming is because they don't want to make noise for anyone else, OR they are playing a competitive shooter and can pick up on enemy movement sooner. Can you admit that saying gaming must be done with headphones that block sound is a silly position to take?
damn for me how this pump looks is bad such shame how they went from that beautiful ek 360 elite to this. Hope vision version of this aio will look better with ABS housing, Aluminum black-nickel plated pump ring
@gogopowerrangers6596 in your opinion maybe, in my opinion this looks like a lian li AIO.......now I'm sure the EK is better but come on that's a lian li pump housing hahaha 😆
While I do appreciate the time and effort required to make these videos, I can't take these reviews seriously. a 5950x is nowhere near the hottest chip on the market, testing with a 12900k or similar would be a MUCH better indication of which coolers are actually worth spending your money on. I am aware this is to be able to sync it with the rest of the reviews and save time. However, it makes the review not valid in my eyes. Just some critical feedback. Thank you for everything you do.
Mama don't want any propreitary connectors... ever. If a fan doesn't use a standard CPU fan header or industry standard 4 pin MOLEX connector, i don't want it.

James would you take this over the Corsair models?
Yes because I prefer less wiring and no additional RGB software. iCUE is good but I prefer to have the choice of not using it.
Personally, switched from the corsair h150I elite lcd, pump whine was obnoxious. Performance wise, I see a massive decrease in CPU temp onNucleus, might be because I changed how I applied the themal paste. If you don't mind corsair pump whine (high pitch sound), both are great choices.
one question, is this one better than the EKWB AIO CPU Cooler Elite 360, 360mm Radiator? i saw that one in amazon and keep me thinking xd
The Nucleus is a newer model and seems to be an improvement in performance during our testing.
@@KitGuruJames thanks thats all i needed to know 🤗
For some reason, after I installed mines, when I try to change the rgb colors, when I select a color the rgb on the aio will show me a different color, why is that?
You need to calibrate the Color using the RGB Software 1st using eg RGB Fusion on Gigabyte Motherboards
For 13900k would it have better performance everywhere than DeepCool lt720
That's a great question, it seems to high very slightly better cooling in these tests and very slightly higher noise level
It's a toss up in my books. I'm getting the EK on Saturday I can report my performance after I install it.
Need to see another versus EK CR360 vs DEEP COOL LT720 FOR THE 13900k cpu though
@@Pensnmusic Hi, can you share your experience after this couple days with EK? Noise from the pump, how low can you get with rpm pump etc..
AM5?
I think I go for the non led version
How you control pump speed...? I don't see any software installed, or I'm missing something?
10/10 a must but, nice box.
Is it based on Asetek design?
No.
The Valkyrie C360 is missing, it beats almost everyone there
It's not better value to order from EK because delivery is £32, so it's still the same price from Overclockers as it is from EK
Yeah UK consumers getting a rough deal again.
This or Lian li ga performance. What are peoples opinion
If they are targeting the aio market now. The others need to watch out !!
It feels like this is just licensed asetek design under ekwb name.
@@vlmxs It isn't. They have their own pump and cold plate system.
Yep their own
I had one of their previous versions. that thing is still running good on my plex server with no other fans running in the case except on the 3 on the rad, it keeps the 13600k at 30 degrees or less.
*Corsair i100 Elite LCD* has pump issues. The noise is terrible.
Why didn't you test it on an Intel CPU?
I'm not really sure at this point other then a fault pump how many one of these out do the other but I'd have to see this one smash the Arctic line as there's pretty much sits at the top for AIOs
Gamers nexus’s did test both.
The ek beat it just a little. Technically…
I went with ek due to them making an aio in all white. Because that matters to me.
Nice cooler. Wish they had a plain black version.
You can mount them in any position, mine are on the top.
Two reasons why:
@@deuswulf6193 Why would speakers change my stance? Be serious....
Does EK still require a separate LGA 1700 kit purchase? The design is same ole same ole they are a dime a dozen now
No the LGA1700 mount comes with the Nucleus.
@@KitGuruJames what about the 1150 mount?
@@FerventReminder that is included too.
@@KitGuruJames awesome, thanks
@@KitGuruJameswhere to buy lga 1700 bracket it's already out of stock does every version of lga 1700 bracket compatible with this EK aio ?
Watching because I just won one of these.
damn for me how this pump looks is bad such shame how they went from that beautiful ek 360 elite to this. Hope vision version of this aio will look better with ABS housing, Aluminum black-nickel plated pump ring
Ahhh so this is why they discontinued the elite 360 aio, such a clean AIO that was.
You got one man ?
Yeah it was good. This one actually looks better 😮
@powermaster5004 I do have one and I absolutely love it, very stealth but the fans really light up my case
@gogopowerrangers6596 in your opinion maybe, in my opinion this looks like a lian li AIO.......now I'm sure the EK is better but come on that's a lian li pump housing hahaha 😆
It's a crime that they stopped the original. It was £108 :( Now these new versions are double the price almost
"Beats off all competition" lol. Yes I am 38 years old, yes this will never not be funny
Mama don't want any propreitary connectors... ever.
If a fan doesn't use a standard CPU fan header or industry standard 4 pin MOLEX connector, i don't want it.
So...: This one or the "bare-bones" Lian Li Trinity 360 (non "Performance", non "INF" version)?
And no: The Liquid Freezer II isn't an option for me because I don't like its looks.
Just get a ryujin II 360 looks way better and performance is similar.
Lol, no. the ryujin is $370+ this one is $190
@@EasyMoneySG if your conscious about cost get an arctic aio, the Ryujin is about £70 more in the U.K.

I wish they did a non RGB version
They do.. "EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark"
No TEMP? meh...
5950 cpu? What a waste of video…. Do 13900k oc to 5.7 4.5.
Doubt it can handle that. EKWB AIO 360 original cant get even close that with 13600kf or i got a bad silicon
@@Jinny-Wa now you see how promotional advertising this channel is. They make it sound like wow check this out and they use 5950 lol
Too expensive EK! £190 is a ridiculous price. £150 would've been fair. I expect the LCD version to be £250...
If you buy it from the EK store it's cheaper than from OcUK. Closer to £150 with current exchange rate.
