He was probably the best striker in Europe from the start of the 70/71 season to the infamous Poland game in October 73. He was never the same after that very sadly and his career along with Tottenham in general declined dramatically
@@mick6370 Between them they played 43 times for England with 23 goals not a bad tally...was surprised Clarke only played for England twice under Revie. He ( Clarke) was said be Revies second favourite "son" after Bremner which was a little surprising considering he didnt sign for the club until 69

@@dlamiss Chivers was right up there with the best should've played many more times for England especially as a double act with Allan Clarke.
