As I've mentioned in the video, I own and daily my 2023 Seltos. Honestly, this facelift model nearly is a full change in terms of the drive itself. Good choice, hope it arrives soon!
When it comes to Kia, sometimes it's always best to come out last. Kia seems to upgrade powertrains before going to the next generation. This is not something Hyundai normally do. Well, at least we know what powertrains will be available on the next generation Hyundai Kona for the S. Korean and US markets.

Just to add, the sunroof does tilt up with one touch, just not after you already touched it partially. It also will open all the way. It stops at like 80% open, and then you can press again to fully open. I have the current version, but I can tell the sunroof control/operation is the same as mine. I love this new Seltos look, and I love my 2021 Seltos. I may end up getting the new version when my lease is up in 2 years depending on how things are in the car world then. Who knows if we will even have gasoline available! May end up with a Hybrid or something..
@@CarSceneKorea Yeah! I just wanted people to know that it’s actually a great sunroof. I recently rented a Mazda CX-9, and it had the exact same sunroof size and function. Truth be told, I couldn’t wait to get back in my Seltos SX, which is surprisingly more comfortable for front row passengers. The worst thing was that the armrest was hard as a rock, and everyone seems to think Mazda has such high quality interiors. They are nothing special these days. A Seltos Hybrid would surely be a win! Nobody wants that plug in bullsh*t that would be setting everyone up for other problems. As we have already seen environmentally and practically.
Hi, I like the analog style graphics on the gauges here. But in another Seltos I saw these purple brackets and digital numbers, which I really dislike, it was similar to what was in the Shortage. Is that adjustable in the car?
Ive ordered the GT pluton blue here in Australia arriving early next year. I love your reviews. I’m just hoping the color blue is as nice as it’s shown here, so many videos show it different.
Thanks for the comment! Since I use GoPro, picking up the "right" color is always troublesome. But I think it did a good job capturing the color in this video.
Hi Marsupial, well that’s the sticking point here in Australia…the prices are not available yet. My contract is showing the current GT limited price, which you can find on the Kia Australia website, but I’ve been told the new model may be a little more. Say $1000 or 2 or so. I do have the option to pull out of contract subject to final price and then at the test drive point as there are no models to test drive obviously. So I’m really hoping it’s going to be worth the wait. I could have taken a GT limited current model in September/October with a minor facelifts from the current models but not this complete facelift, so I thought this one was worth the longer wait. More like the baby version of the Sportage.
The facelift did get more expensive by a little less than $2k USD here in Korea; however that's including everything mentioned/shown in the video. If you're debating pre-facelift Seltos to this, I'd say the facelift would be worth the wait, especially if you are not a big fan of the current 7 spd dry DCT. On the other hand, if the current DCT doesn't bother you much, I'd look in and see if I can get some deal on the current model as well. I daily drive my '22 Seltos and love everything about it. Not the best car out there, but every penny counts on that car!
Your dealer ought to have a precise answer to that 🥲 It's a natural thing for a car to get delayed when an option is changed, but it often is not prior to being manufactured, but all this could differ from a country to another, and the example is obviously based on Korean market.
Oh, if you're located in Korea, you could get lucky and the time could still be the same, but also there's the chance of being delayed. Fingers crossed!
Just took Australian model for test drive, awaiting my GT model I have on order, Jan/feb 2023. There is no 360 camera. No dial gear shift. Interior is black which I like with the pluton blue. Just a quick update.
bree you sure you took the GT for a test drive because there is a 360cam a dial shift there is even a cam on the side mirror i also got a sunroof and a black roof but my car is black thats why
@@rosspapagelakis5693 saleswoman when I questioned the gearshift said yeah we thought they were going to be rotary dials too, so big surprise to see they weren’t. The Kia Australia brochure doesn’t mention the 360 cameras and I said that was a feature I wanted.

I wish Kia had made that Pluton Blue available here in the US, they still only have Neptune Blue and Dark Ocean Blue here for our facelifted 2023 model.
Correct me if I am wrong. The US facelifted model will actually be a 2024 model, not 2023, and it is not officially out yet. If you go to there website, you can build the 2023 Seltos, which is not the facelift model. The Pluton blue is supposed to be new for the facelifted model so we should see it in the 2024 facelifted model in the US as well. Please don't force us who desire the Pluton blue to be stuck with black seats. One feature that I came to check on this video and was glad he was able to confirm is that it looks like they are finally getting a 360 camera. Please tell me this is new in the Korean model as well. I really hope the US model will have this as well.

Kia are smart to get a seltos with all the bells and whistles you have to get the GT line only that model gets the lot sports+ is the next best as the turbo model is an option you cant get the turbo motor on the sports model i find that wrong
in australia i have ordered the GTline which is the top of the range but ive never heard of a car without a spare tyre we have a full size 18inch spare

The model in the video is not the highest for certain. It is the Signature trim here in Korea, there's Gravity which is the top of the line. Models and trim names differ from a country to another, even the options they bring in are diff from time to time.
If this was available (in hybrid version) at the time I would have gotten it (in "gravity trim") over the 2023 Sportage (SX-Prestige hybrid) that I did get.
WHAT ???? Seltos 2023 does not come with a spare full size tyre ????? Also are you able to shift-lock to a particular gear. For example ... going down a long slope down highway, and you want to lock the gear to 5th gear so the car doesnt keep going faster and faster down the sloppy highway. Using brakes is one way, but this will wear out the brakes.
The best answer I can think of is Downhill Brake Control (DBC), which can be found in detail here: ua-cam.com/video/HlHS7Q-uC0c/v-deo.html But, a simple HDA will keep the speed of your desired choice without picking up too much speed on downhill. It will decelerate past certain speed.

I'm happy they didn't bring over the dual function HVAC and Infotainment button from EV6 and Sportage. Dedicated buttons are 👌

That perhaps could be a different gauge cluster. I'd need to see the actual vid/photo on it to clarify, but the analog would be the most basic trim.

FYI, there never was HUD on Seltos before, neither the Sportage. It's the first time seeing HUD(combiner type) on Seltos starting with this facelift.

Are you really showing an entry level Seltos? Seems to good to be true coz of the connected instrument and infotainment screen plus the sunroof!
This is not the base model, but is about a mid-level trim.
By entry-level, I was referring the entire Seltos as such, not the trim of this Seltos.

One of the funny way of labeling the car here in Korea. This actually is 2024 Seltos in Korea, look up 2023. You'd see the outgoing one.

Also are you able to shift-lock to a particular gear. For example ... going down a long slope down highway, and you want to lock the gear to 5th gear so the car doesnt keep going faster and faster down the sloppy highway. Using brakes is one way, but this will wear out the brakes.
The best answer I can think of is Downhill Brake Control (DBC), which can be found in detail here:

But, a simple HDA will keep the speed of your desired choice without picking up too much speed on downhill. It will decelerate past certain speed.
