That's after suffering a torn Achilles. His foot work and shot adjustments mid stroke were second to none. Even without athleticism he was a straight up scoring machine.
Nobody prob remembers this but for like the first month of this season he was leading the league in scoring but then he started to get hurt and eventually tore his rotator cuff, if he played the full year and was healthy he prob would’ve avg about 24-25 ppg
People forget that this man was an All-Star for 18 of his 20 seasons in the NBA. I know most people think it ended for the Mamba in 2013 with that injury against the Warriors, but people forget that he came back faster than anyone and was still a top 3 Guard in the league. If he really wanted too, he could have played for 25 years, but he wanted to move on and do other things by that point, and the Lakers were not exactly set up to win championships anymore. Keep in mind, Kobe had been playing professional basketball since he was fresh out of high school. By the age of 23 Kobe had already won 3 championships and proved to be the most dominant, unstoppable 2-way player in the league. Kobe had won 3 championships by the time he was 23. Where were you when you were 23? I was washing dishes for a wine bar. Kobe was just 31 years old when he won his last championship. Kobe did everything faster than anyone else. Nobody, and I mean nobody dominated at a higher level than Kobe Bryant. There are only 4 other players that were comparable to Kobe in my opinion. MJ, Kareem, Wilt, and Russell. Everyone else is at least one step behind the Mamba, and that includes Magic, Bird, and Duncan. I mean no offense to those other players, but Kobe was as great as anyone who has ever played the game of basketball, or sports in general.
The one thing I can truly respect about Kobe, his commitment as a warrior and champion, but he didn't see the Lakers franchise was not loyal to him after Jerry buss died,I mean look at those scores and teams, now the sports world has made it okay to abort , LeBron won four rings with different teams, they say that's greatness, choosing to forget everywhere he goes he recruits nothing less than 2 all Stars...but greatness,I guess the definition changed!
This is actually beautiful .Kobe tore his Achilles April 2013 recovered for 7 months 2013 December first game back faced raptors..he played for 2 more years after his injury ..all of 2014 n 2015 retired in 2016..the fact that the powers at be let him play 2 more years after his injury is an amazing gift he received
i missed a lot of 2014-2016 laker games. not cause im a fairweather but man we put together some rag tag squads around him this time. Very little PG and big talent.
Highlights can be very misleading this was a horrible year from Kobe I think he shot like 37% this year he was a shell of himself his last 3 years were probably just as bad as his 1st 3 year I view Kobe career as he played 14 great years his 1st and last 3 years killed his career numbers
Yeah definitely. He averaged 22 pts this season but his percentage was horrible as he relied solely on difficult jumpers and couldnt use his athleticism like he did in his younger years. Although he wasnt bad in his first three years he just didnt get as much minutes. For a 17-19 yr old he still performed very well.

Kobe was amazing in 2015 averaging 22.3 points,5.6assists,and 5.7 rebounds,Pretty good for a 37 year old
Absolutely amazing for sure but he only played 33/82 games that season which is important to note
Now we got LeBron james averaging 30ppg at 37 years lol
@@Ddgcortes kobe would if not for injuries
@@levisanjose6643 no way lol
Don't think he would average 30 but 25 to 27 doesn't seem like a stretch

Really dope. Good job
That's the MAMBA
Mamba is different 🔥
Best iso player of all time
Stu Lantz’s monotone voice at 8:30 shows how many times he’s seen Kobe do ridiculously impossible things.

The MAMBA will FOREVER 🏀BGREAT

Man Carmelo should’ve been on these teams
I’m so confused, why are they at the Honda center?
Preseason game probably.
Preseason
It is fact,in Kobe 19th season, this what he was doing, LeBron 👀
You see what Bron doing now tho right? Lol
@@Rob8041289 Ik but Kobe playing like this even after an achilles injury is kind of crazy, but what lebron was doing this year was amazing.
