- We replaced the standard "bathroom" glass with a smoked glass to match the rest of the windows. WE LOVE THIS! it also lets us see who is at the door and like the rest of the camper windows you cant see in unless multiple windows are aligned.
I like the video cuz I'm getting ready to put one in my door because it got broken and by watching your video it makes it so much easier for me thank you
Do you have a part number or where I could get the tinted window I called Lippard and they told me I could not buy the glass by itself only in the thin shade box and I do not like the thin shade frame because it’s over 3 inches of frame compared to 1 inch
Sorry, I do not have a part number but any tinted glass will work just order it with the frame and don't use the frame.
Wont putting label to inside make the glass backwards so that people outside will be able to see in?
I don't know about the label but the glass was installed correctly.
@@TheSquirrelsNest Great! Thanks
What site did you purchase your front door rv glass?
I’m so going to replace mine
This is the same thing but comes with a built in shade AP Products 015-201512 Thin Shade Kit F/12X21 Rc Pw Black that is the one we have now. and its much cheaper then the other one
What is that tape and where do you get it?
It is called "seal tape" its a high-quality double-sided butyl tape that you can purchase online or at local home improvement stores.
Google Fabral 1/4 in. x 40 ft. Butyl Rubber Sealant Tape
This is what I used to replace the glass on my travel trailer door. I went from the frosted tempered glass to the dark see-through tempered glass for under $26.00 so there really is no need to buy the more costly replacement windows unless you insist on having the pull-down shade or your original window frame is damaged.
There are many other brands of butyl tape out there, I'm just telling you which brand I used, I purchased a 40-foot roll at Home Depot for $4.55 + tax and I bought the piece of glass on eBay for $19.20 + tax Total cost $25.24
The piece of glass is made by LCI which is the manufacturer of many of these RV windows.
@@99shadows66 thank you very helpful.
What if there are no screws?
The plastic trim will still come off but you will need to replace it, the plastic tabs will break off. There are other videos that show that style
If it is "one way glass" I think flipping so the the label is facing the other way no longer makes it the "right way". I think people can see in.
Tape must be at least doubled,,,silicon best
Next time double up tape.
