Actually YG never said who is the main or lead rappers, they simply call Jen and Lisa rappers. But Rose does earn the main vocal title since they said it themselves so many times.
It's rosé and jennie in the chorus though. Rosé was the one hitting the higher notes at the end, more like supporting jennie. It was a nice contrast. Jennie with her more prominent voice and Rosé doing more of the adlibs/high note. They did the same thing with Bet You Wanna.

The “we are born to be alone” melody vocals is a blend of Jennie’s and Rose’s voices. They hit the same notes but Jennie’s full voice is at the forefront while Rose’s is in the back. Which shows both of their ranges and how different they are but how well they match.
It's so interesting to see people finally waking up when it comes to Jennies vocals. She's been my fave since playing with fire (I like them all). It was the first song I heard by them, and Jennie lines on that song were so good.

Honestly I've never seen a lot of people praise Jennie for her vocal skills and even forgot about her rapping position. I know they hear about the diversity in Jennie's voice especially it is really shown in THW ALBUM. In their previpus releases, even though she showed great skills in singing and rapping, people usually would criticize her because of her lines. Saying that it was too much and that she did not deserve it. With that negativity surrounding her, the rest of the people listening to BLACKPINK convinced themselves that Jennie does not contribute a lot to their music. Now that Jennie has a creative input in one of their songs, they are silent but showed dislike on the title track just because Jennie is part of the composition and writing. I'm really really happy Jennie is getting attention from vocal coaches because she is really talented. Her voice in each album suits the song so much. She's so versatile. The “we are born to be alone” melody vocals is a blend of Jennie’s and Rose’s voices. They hit the same notes but Jennie’s full voice is at the forefront while Rose’s is in the back. Which shows both of their ranges and how different they are but how well they match.
It's so interesting to see people finally waking up when it comes to Jennies vocals. She's been my fave since playing with fire (I like them all). It was the first song I heard by them, and Jennie lines on that song were so good.

Honestly I've never seen a lot of people praise Jennie for her vocal skills and even forgot about her rapping position. I know they hear about the diversity in Jennie's voice especially it is really shown in THW ALBUM. In their previpus releases, even though she showed great skills in singing and rapping, people usually would criticize her because of her lines. Saying that it was too much and that she did not deserve it. With that negativity surrounding her, the rest of the people listening to BLACKPINK convinced themselves that Jennie does not contribute a lot to their music. Now that Jennie has a creative input in one of their songs, they are silent but showed dislike on the title track just because Jennie is part of the composition and writing. I'm really really happy Jennie is getting attention from vocal coaches because she is really talented. Her voice in each album suits the song so much. She's so versatile. I'm crying :( She deserves every praise.

Jisung, for example, is able to reach very high notes and stabally hold them for quite some time. Chanyeol, while not capable of as much range, has one of the most unique and interesting vocal colors in kpop. Jennie is a mix of both of those techniques and traits. *Thats what we call talent.*
