Brother I am so excited to work with you. My biz partner and I are big fans of the channel. What a great choice to launch with. Only problem is, now I want one. Can you do a video on "How to convince your wife to let you buy a motorcycle?" haha.
It's not a cruiser... it's a Performance Cruiser, which was huge back in the early 2000's when everyone was trying to get into the niche with the Harley VROD, Honda VTX 1800 and VMAX, the Yamaha Warrior, the Kawasaki Mean Streak, Suzuki M109R, and yes, the Diavel. We have a Mean Streak over on our chan we ride regularly and LOVE IT. Actually, it was the first bike I ever bought with my own hard earned cash when it launched in 2002.
The biggest issue with it is the desmo service and needing to change out the timing belt every 5 years regardless of how much you ride it. Mainetnance is just a nightmare. I'll never get another Ducati.
I see Spite blasting some Trivium. Is it ironic or peotic that you actually came all the way back around to the giveaway business model? Im still excited too see what you do with the diavel.
It is about god damn time isnt it!? I bought a 2024 ducati diavel v4 a few months ago, and havent turned back.. its ruined every other bike for me now lol. great job at getting the bike!
The laugh at 17:20 sums up this platform really well. I got my XDiavel S in 2020. Power is always fun, and you have superbike power from one of the torquiest superbike engines powering this bad boy.
If you know you know. The V4 doesn't have the Desmo service. The v2 does but it's every 15k miles or 5 years. My service cost 800$ for the belts the desmo calls for and everything else they did.
Being honest no intrest in Ducati because I heard average cost of service is $1200. But honestly that does change my opinion if diavel doesn't require that service it is a cool bike definitely more intresting now
Every time a Diavel goes by my eyes are peeled, they are beautiful bikes. My fast bikes have always been 1000cc supersports, but when it comes time to get another bike it will be the diavel for me.
I almost bought A Diavel, so unique and different. I like Lambos also. I bought a monster 1200 instead. I also have owned 2 Super Dukes. The Super Duke engine nicer character over the Monster. I love the new Diavel v4 with the 4 Pipe stinger. I bought a MV AGusta 800rr dragster just for the unique triple pipe. Loved the headlight on the KTM. I guess I love uniqueness. Love looking at the bike as much as riding
Having stated that, all bikes are fun and reliable. For longer cruises a big engine idles at speed. Around town a middle size is perfect. I have a Grom I ride everyday for short trips
I would put the Diavel in the Muscle Naked category, the Ducati X-Diavel is more of a Cruiser albeit a very Sporty One. Neither look good with windscreens but that is what the Ducati Multistrada is for 70mph+ Hwy/Fwy riding.
Can’t believe it’s as light as it is. They look much heavier. You mentioned buzzy hand grips(Hiss…Boo), that kinda kills it for being a cruiser, if it’s putting your hands to sleep. Definitely cool bike though.
I wish Ducati would design some nice sleek saddlebags to go with it. Then it'd be perfect imo! I bet they could do a great job. I bet it would cost an arm and a leg tho
I think the bags for my hyperstrada were $800ish for two side bags and a top box. Each big enough for a helmet. They were heavy duty plastic with cloth lining so not the best in the business but for 3 it wasn't bad.
I have a serious question even though it probably won’t be taken as one. Other than cash in your pocket how does this get you more subscribers? Just hoping people want yet another giveaway channel?
Still waiting to see the twisties you mentioned, all I have seen are very easy deviations on a straight road. Why don't you take the bike to some proper hairpin bends ?
I'm trying to find one to check out, but knowing what I know about the sport chief it won't out perform the diavel, but it's not meant to. It's basically Indian's answer to the LRST
The Diavel is my dream bike and likely my second bike. The 1260 is my favorite, but the earlier gen is growing on me a lot and are much more affordable on the used market in my area.
Always liked the look of the Diavel - there are some nice design touches there such as the pop-up grab rail and flip out pillion footrests. (Not that you're likely to find many people brave enough to be a passenger though!) Also, one of the reasons that it handles corners so well is down to a clever tweaks to the steering geometry. Although the forks are kicked out like a cruiser, the yokes they pass through are actually slash-cut to quicken the steering. It's not something you'd notice if you didn't know it was there, but have a close look at the yokes and you'll see what I mean.
WIN THIS DIAVEL!!! www.fanathem.com/spite
Entries are open now until November 10th 2024 at 11:59 PM PST
See, I love my rocket 3r. Hell, I love muscle cruisers. But I don't really NEED another one. So yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and enter to win this one.

if anything happens to me, you're getting all the moneys, honey
you welcome
@@czarekp3552 hahahahaha. After 16 years of marriage, she might go for that.
Thanks for helping get the series off the ground!
I can be pretty convincing but that might be outside my wheelhouse 🤣
@@spitescorner haha
You could always ask for forgiveness instead of permission. HAHA!
How fitting to have that Ferrari pass while you're on the Ducati.
the real comparison should have been Diavel vs. V Rod vs. V Max. Gone are the muscle bike era.
No, the B-King was.
I own 2018 carbon edition. If you can have just one bike, this is the best one out there to have.
No matter what Don will say: the VMax is still prettier. And better! Cheers, guys!
Those speed signs are a challenge, not a warning
The biggest issue with it is the desmo service and needing to change out the timing belt every 5 years regardless of how much you ride it. Mainetnance is just a nightmare. I'll never get another Ducati.
My buddy has all the equipment to do the valves and belts so I'd just go to his place.
Nearly every single used Ducati posted for sale near me, is
Get a quote for the services and go make an offer and get one. It's worth it trust me
Yeah, I just can't quit Ducatis. They're so nice, in spite of all the quirks and costs.
I see Spite blasting some Trivium. Is it ironic or peotic that you actually came all the way back around to the giveaway business model? Im still excited too see what you do with the diavel.
Has Spite heard "Beast in Black"?
Some thrash metal felt appropriate. 🤣
Ahhh loved this review. You have so much knowledge to share on bikes-so thank you for doing a review on this one specifically!!🙏🏻
It is about god damn time isnt it!?

I hate the ducati forums. It's almost impossible to find any good information.

Lol.... I'll give it away so I don't have to deal with Desmo valve service..😂😂

@@keithsmith9889I have the V4 Diavel and service intervals are great. 2yrs or 9k miles for oil/filter and 36k miles on valve checks.
@@chappie-do4992 but what's the average cost?
@@keithsmith9889 havent hit 9k yet but my break in service with oil change plus yearly inspection required here in PA ran me $500 plus tax

Good looking bike. Perfect bike for this channel to give away. Not a cruiser and not a sport bike. 🤣
finally!!!!!! it took long spite i have mine 2 years already
Nice
Well crap, another giveaway where AK and HI residents can't win. Oh well, good luck everyone.
I guess you can't ship outside the US, which is just as well, I'd probably do something really stupid and hurt myself. Still want it though :)
Make sure the belts are changes under the intervals, do oil changes and you have a great bike to enjoy. Awesome engine 🚀
This is the only Ducati model I'm interested in.
I am in the it looks stupid camp. Big front end that makes the front tire look small.
🤘😎
This bike sounds amazing! Also love the looks :)

Looking slim there spite!

I tend to agree. It's a lot like a fat monster, but more comfortable for longer rides.
Can’t believe it’s as light as it is. They look much heavier. You mentioned buzzy hand grips(Hiss…Boo), that kinda kills it for being a cruiser, if it’s putting your hands to sleep.
Definitely cool bike though.
It's not enough to put your hands to sleep, it's mostly just at high rpm. If you're cruising at 4 or 5k RPM it's much smoother.
I wish Ducati would design some nice sleek saddlebags to go with it. Then it'd be perfect imo! I bet they could do a great job. I bet it would cost an arm and a leg tho

No, it allows me to grow by getting long term access to cool bikes to make content with them. Any earnings are secondary to me.
Still waiting to see the twisties you mentioned, all I have seen are very easy deviations on a straight road. Why don't you take the bike to some proper hairpin bends ?
I ride the roads I have in Texas.
I'm sure it's fun but have you tried an Indian Chief Sport 116 in Sport mode? The torque is insane!
They're crazy value for money.
No, it's not 🤣 the newer XDiavel is better in every way. OMG is the valve service going to make you cry.
Well, it's over 5k miles away from the service now, but if I was keeping it, I'd do them myself. My buddy has the tools.
This reminds me of the Nazare from Cyberpunk 2077
For sure, I see that every time I look at the bike in tge garage.
they made the arch nazare a re4al thing
Try the Benelli 502c.
You need to try the new Diavel V4. It’s a whole new level!
I am not a huge fan of the Ducati V4. I'll try it with an open mind but Aprilia's V4 is my prefrence. They just don't make a cruiser with it.
i dont like diablos before, because i think they are 600lb ish
Diablos is the big dragon in Monster Hunter. The Diavel is way less than 600lbs.
Yep
bro is a menace on that bike, get it off his hands rn😭
Everyone needs a goon bike.

I actually did notice that, but I didn't think it changed anything about the handling. Just thought it was a neat design.
@@spitescorner Molto intelligenti, those Ducati engineers! 🤓
When will you test the supercruiser by buell
When I can get my hands on one.
It definitely matches you
It's like Ducati designed it just for me. I just need the tall seat.
Lol when the Ferrari shows up
I played with it a little in the Discord cut.
Ok sorry but mo harley rider is jealous of this bike .
Yeah they don't like to go fast anyway
They're a totally different class of cruiser. Ducati performs like a sport bike. Harley are comfy barcaloungers on wheels.
