Driven this road several times over the years, my husbands mother was raised in Edgewood. The house her father built in around the early nineteen hundreds was still standing until a couple of years ago. Not sure if you’’ve been in there. We actually took a trip from Edgewood to Castlegar, a dirt road but well kept. Looking over at the Selkirk mountains was awesome.
I have never been to Edgewood but I will go there on my next trip that way for sure. I'm also interested in taking that dirt road you mentioned to Castlegar. Thank you for your comment Florence!
Sorry that I gave you the wrong information when I told you Edgewood to Castlegar, it was to Grandforks. My husband corrected me on that. Don’t make the mistake we made in going down into Renata like we did, when we went that way, there wasn’t a way out, we had to come back out to the Burrell Creek Service Road.
Oh ya thanks for that guidance. I'm going to explore the area better soon. Even the places I've been to in the past are often new to me because so much time has passed.
