Thanks a lot for this, you make my day.
Glad to have been of help.
Thank you so much. You’ve gotten a new subscriber. I will try mine tomorrow. You came at the right time. Thank you so much. Hope it works for me this time because I’ve suffered buying new flasks every time 😘🙏
Happy to have been of help. Thanks too for Subscribing. And pls, going forward after prepping the flask, avoid pouring boiling water directly from the gas into the flask. Allow the water to cool down for about 10 mins first before pouring.(the water still remains hot after 10 mins).
Thank you so much
Wow😊 Thank you ma😊
Very interesting video
God bless you for this 😊
Thanks
Thank you ma
I got a new flask for my baby yesterday and have been searching UA-cam to see a video like this before I use it because I have been doing the traditional way of pouring boiling water and it's spoiling the flasks. Thanks a Lot. The video is quite detailed. Let me go & join this family by hitting the subscription button ❤️❤️
Wow!! Glad to have been of help. Thanks for Subscribing...welcome to the Ivy Ludovic family!
Thank you so much for this.
Glad to have been of help.
Great information, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the information. I would like to confirm if it's still possible to use the tip you shared on retaining hot water in a flask. I had already poured hot water into the flask for the preparation before coming across this video. I hope I can still salvage the situation. Please let me know your thoughts ma
You can try but I doubt it will be of much help. What you can start doing now to help prolong the ability of the flask to retain hotness is to stop pouring hot water from the kettle directly into the flask going forward. Allow the water to cool for about 10 minutes before pouring into the flask. I have a detailed video about it here ua-cam.com/video/7bFWdTFpGGE/v-deo.html
Thanks ma
@damilolaokunolatoyosi2511 glad to have been of help.
Thanks for sharing. But can I use same flask for hot and cold water?
No please. You will need to get seperate flasks for hot and cold water. These flasks should also be prepped accordingly based on their intended use.
I want to ask after prepping it from 10pm to 6 in d morning.....can I use liquid soap to wash it....if yes am I to rinse out d soap wit hot water again or ordinary water
Yes you can use liquid soap to wash it after pouring out the water. And pls do rinse with warm water and turn upside down to dry. Afterwards, do follow these steps to help your flask last longer...ua-cam.com/video/7bFWdTFpGGE/v-deo.html
Thanks for this video but please ma'am some said i should add salt on my first use
I have never heard about this and cannot recommend adding salt
Thanks for this information, just bought food flask, will try it , hopefully it will work😊
It definitely will
Plz can I wash with room temperature water or hot water,I was told to wash with only hot or warm water,if nt it will go bad I did ur overnight hack and it worked but I dunno the water to use in washing it,this the third flask m buying
Pls wash with warm water or same water you used to prep the flask. Compliments of the Season.
You just saved me from another disaster of 15k🙆 madam God bless you plenty!
Amen. Thank you!! Please, to also help the flask last longer, kindly avoid pouring boiling hot water directly from the kettle into the flask. Allow the water to sit and cool for about 10 minutes before you pour it into the flask. All the best!
Thanks once again, please I already have how can I make it to work again.
I really do not think it can work same now. This has to be done before the very FIRST use. Having said that, another tip that can help as well now is to avoid pouring boiling hot water directly from the kettle into the flask. After water boils, leave it to sit for about 10 minutes before pouring into the flask. It is still very hot but not boiling hot and will retain its hotness for longer hours.
Please I poured boiling hot but it not up to 20mins when I found this video I hope am still in the right track
I just bought a thermos flask, I poured water into it this night. I am hoping to get a good result out of it.
You definitely will. Just make sure to follow the right steps and prep the thermos flask with the right temperature of water. Going forward as well, pls, try to avoid pouring boiling hot water directly into the flask...wait for about 10 mins after water has boiled before doing so.
Thanks for watching.
@@ivyludovic do you mean we should wait for 10mins every time after boiling water before pouring into the flask?
@@annugonna3126 yes please. The water will still be very very hot after 10 mins and it will help extend the lifespan of the flask.
Hi ma dia was asking do i need to first let it cool for 10min before putting it in the flask always ,that is if i hv already followed yo first step of putting slightly luke warm water in it
Yes pls. It will help the flask remain hotter over time. Pouring in hot water directly without letting it cool off for about 10 mins will weaken the ability of the flask to retain hotness over time.
@@ivyludovicYou can with stainless steel
In 10 minutes, my boiling water is nearly cool
@marianmurphy4625 really? Why not try it first. I can assure you the water will be no where near cool after 10 minutes.
@marianmurphy4625 and in a few weeks, that same flask will be unable to retain its hotness for ordinary 6 hours. Yes you can pour in boiling water directly unto your stainless steel flask but it ends up destroying the flask. However, to each his/her own. I can only advise.
I used silver shine to wash it and I'm boiling here. Because I want the flask to be shining and neat
I don't understand you? You bought a brand new flask and you are boiling the flask? I have also not heard of this silvershine you mention.
What about glass flash I bought one but still hasn't used it yet I'm 39 weeks pregnant please what should I do to retain its hotness
Same thing as advised in the video. Prep it first as outlined and subsequently, avoid pouring hot water directly from the gas into the flask...give it about 10 mins to cool a bit before pouring.
Pls do you have to use this trick every time you want to use the flask or it should be done just once???
It should be done just once before first use and thereafter, avoid pouring boiling hot water directly from the kettle into the flask. Give about 5 minutes before you pour into the flask.
Hi,what is exactly the way ? I didn't quite understand.
Kindly watch again. You are to pre-prep the flask before first use with a certain temperature of water depending on whether you intend to use the flask for cold or hot liquids.
@@ivyludovic the thing is that I have mine less than a year and I was very happy with it. List yesterday I noticed that only after 4 hours my tea is cold. I am puzzled, really.
So sorry to hear that. One tip that has helped me preserve the longevity of my flask is to avoid pouring boiling hot water or tea directly from the kettle into the flask. After water boils, leave it to sit for about 10 minutes before pouring into the flask. It is still very hot but not boiling hot and will help the flask retain its hotness for longer hours.
The water i would add to the lukewarm water in the flask is it cold water from the fridge?
Yes cold water from the Fridge.
But to be on the safe side still, is there any particular flask brand that u will recommend? Am tired of spending money on flask. I just go 2 flask for 33k and i did what u advised again before seeing this video. Obviously money wasted. Pls help if u can thanks...
I have always been an 'Haers girl' . But 'Dragon' seems to be a good brand too though you have to be careful about the little rubber accessories on the cover. If I have to recommend though, I would advise you to get the Haers All Day Flask and I always buy mine from any reputable baby shops or Big departmental stores.
I actually got 2 Haers food flask. Vocuum bottle, 750ml and 1000 ml. 2days before I saw ur video. I already made the mistake of putting boiling water in it, it started getting hot from the top of the cover. And now it can’t keep hot for more than 4 hours and I want something Upto 12 hours hot. I bought both flask for 33k. It’s so painful I don’t knw what to do as they both are not working well. I guess it’s the hot water I poured in it that spoilt it….
Do I need to buy a brand new flask, or can I start doing this with the flask I already have. It won't keep my coffee HOT. Yes, I had been pouring BOILING coffee in it, and after a few hours my coffee is lukewarm.
I would advise you buy a brand new flask. It will be better in the long run. If you intend to continue using your current flask, I have a video on how to maximize its usage here - ua-cam.com/video/7bFWdTFpGGE/v-deo.html .Best of luck!
How do u wash it after making dirty
What's the tldr? It's too long.
So my Flask is completely bad now,jor is there something incan do ma? i wish i saw this video earlier.... i used the lukewarm water from the start then started pouring in hot water into it, now it can no longer retain hot water
Unfortunately no. That flask is condemned. You will have to get a new flask, prep properly and avoid pouring in boiling hot water directly from the kettle into the flask.
@@ivyludovic okay, thank you ma
What kind of water do you use to wash it?
Warm water. I also have a detailed video on how to properly wash your Vacuum flask too...
ua-cam.com/video/Lgf1sa5SZCQ/v-deo.html
Thank you o, I dey go do too
😄😄 abi o. This the world's best kept secret o.
I was told that if I use detergent on my hot wash flask that it will get spoilt, please how true is that?
Its not true please. Use warm water with detergent and rinse thoroughly.
Thanks
My problem is my daughter porridge I pour it in thick and it becomes watery I make this like around 6 something am by time I go pick her up from school I assume by 1pm it Start get watery Google...
Even at that time, is the food still warm/hot or it has gone cold? Don't know why the porridge will become watery...maybe it has to do with ingredients you use?
@Ivy Ludovic this is how I've making it for a while in one flask it's still thick but the other I don't know what's going on with it..thanks for your reply🙂
😁Uwc. Probably the other flask is no longer keeping the food hot/warm enough.
@@ivyludovic okay I will just check it out today and use another one
Where can I buy the brand of flask you are holding
This brand is the 'Haers all day' vacuum bottle. You can get it from any big departmental store or from any 'Baby' shop.
Thank you so much ma. Please ma i treated the flask with lukewarm water and then the next day, i poured hot water inside the flask but it didn't last up to four hours... Please can i still save the flask since i put hot water only once?
Yes. But going forward, you have to stop pouring hot water directly into the flask. Wait at least 10 mins after boiling the water before pouring it into the flask. And also, the flask should be of a good brand too. I have a video where I explained this better here... ua-cam.com/video/7bFWdTFpGGE/v-deo.html
@@ivyludovic okay thank you so much ma.
Pls who has tried this? Did this workout?
Plsssss do a video on how to restore already spoilt ones
Sure will. Though there is really not much to be done once a flask is spoilt. Will Work on it.
My vecume botls not remain tea hot more than one hour
That's sad to hear. Will have a video up soon on how that can be rectified. You might need to buy a new vacuum flask though and try to prep it as detailed in the video before your first use.
@@ivyludovic thank you for your precious time
@@ivyludovic is the video here? Could I have the link?
@@anetaneykova1 Unfortunately, when a Vacuum flask is bad, there is not much to do to restore it. Good usage for future flasks will help prevent if from happening again. Hopefully, the video talking about this will be up on the 26th of December.
@@anetaneykova1 the video is now up ua-cam.com/video/7bFWdTFpGGE/v-deo.html

too long winded...get to the point!!

Chai, I wish I saw this your video before buying, is not even working at all
Oops so sorry to hear that. Hopefully you have better luck next time.
@@ivyludovic I pray, I didn't even use it at, the lady told me to pour hot water inside which I did and next day the water was all cold, the flask is of no use to me now. I need to buy another one again now because I really need it
@Unique Jay you can still make it work. I have another video on that. Since you didn't prep well before first use, you can try using it again. Justavoid pouring boiling hot water into the flask. Allow to cool for about 10 to 12 mins after boiling before pouring into the flask and see how it goes. Btw,the water will still be hot even after that 10 mins so no fears there.
@@ivyludovic alright, thank you so much. God bless you
