@daltonreese7887 Was a RWD and you guys added a new trans and transfer case, but didn't see how you ran power to the front wheels. Did you just put on a 4x4 front axle and not show it?
@@daltonreese7887 Ford only made one wiring harness on OBS models. There is a plug for the electric solenoid shifter for the T case on harness at 1:12. If you remove the dashboard bezel there is a plug for the switch.
@@carlosdeleon6567 There's a difference. Depending on which transmission, It's usually easier to just pull a transmission and t-case out of an existing 4x4. At minimum you'd need a different input shaft and housing extension. You'll also need a different front axle which they didn't mention at all.
@@chris_bjj123 that should be pretty obvious, right? If you need someone to explain that a 2wd doesn't have an axle up front, you're probably not going to be doing this swap yourself.
Hopefully I can pull this off one day
You got this!
Planning on doing this to my 95 f150!
Once you get started and do it, you’ll never regret it. I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner
The good things are happens in family.
Awesome
Ummmm what about the front axle shafts?
What do you mean?

@@Powerstroke431 we only put a 4x4 front axle in it and we did that when we lifted the truck so yes we had just done it before this video
@@daltonreese7887 AHHHHHH ok that makes sense now 👍
Do you know if the wiring for the push button tcase is already behind the dash in 2x4s?
I’m not sure, we didn’t tear into the dash.

What size lift and tires?
6 inch lift and 33 inch tires
Is it necessary that the transmission come off?
Yes 👍
Did your 2wd transmission work or is there a difference between the 2wd and 4wd auto transmissions?

He was asking about the rear end if there was a difference between the existing 2nd rear end and a 4wd rear end.
