Someone said it's a clip from a reality tv show: Birth of an Actor, where Zhang Ziyi mentored Zhou in that show and when he won it she chose him right away to be her male lead in The Rebel Princess. She was perfectly right in choosing him. Best man for the role.
@@ziyahhavea355 Thank you. I had wondered if that was the case. I've seen beautiful photos from it, but never seen a name. A friend told me that she had said that if she couldn't have him for Rebel Princess that she wouldn't do the show. I'd love to see it, even if there are no English subtitles. I was told that the story ends with them making a suicide pact. She takes poison and dies in his arms, but he doesn't take his and apologizes to corpse.
@@RbL2199 yes it was a short clip, i think they are scenes from old classics that they play out on stage (from what i gathered from the comments lol) guess what? I watched their clip from that show on YT just this week and your friend's right about what happened in that scene. I just searched for it on YT, trolling them so hard 😂🤭🤦...can't believe she said that about not doing the series if he's not the male lead, she made the right decision and stood by it firmly. Just finished the series last week, was randomly looking for cdrams on YT when I came across it and I'm glad I did. And you can guess why I'm here looking for more clips of them 🤣🤭
@@ziyahhavea355 Nice to meet another 'devotee' of the general. I've watched the entire series 2ce and parts of it several times. I've found that the more I watch clips about Yi Wei, the more UA-cam finds for me. I'll let you know if I find anything about that tv series, and maybe you can do the same for me. They have a video that's about an hour long of him learning to shoot a bow and arrow and learning to stand up in the saddle on a running horse and then learning to shoot the arrow while he's doing it. He never gets frustrated--always laughing.When it was over, he had a lump of about the size of an egg on his are where the bowstring kept hitting him. He had never complained once unless they edited it out. I've watched 3 other series of his. They're good, but nothing touches Rebel Princess. I have read that his popularity has soared lately. There's also a funny one of bloopers on set. He seems to be very good natured.
@@RbL2199 yes, and I know we're not the only fans, seems like a humble person from the clips I've seen so far...I guess I should keep looking in case i come across that hour long bts video you're talking about...TRP must be the reason why his popularity is on a rise with int'l audience. One thing's for sure I won't be watching any other series or movies of ZYW because TRP has set the par so high. ...I will just wait for another project for him and ZZ only lol, might be a long wait though 😂
