Great video, chuck full of good information for all the campers. My wife and I were full timers on the road for five years, but had to retire from the road due to just old age and health issues. Now living in a 55+ community in Palm Springs, California area but enjoy your videos very much. Thanks for sharing.
Howdy There. I just found your channel, and thank God I did. I'm a kinda-Sorta Native, living in Southern Utah, and I've been through Quartzsite 110 times, but have Never stayed there overnight. Even now, I'm a tad reluctant to show up during this RTR Freakshow, but as you say, 'Whatever Floats Your Boat'. Wheather I take the plunge to arrive during this Event starting/going on right now, I will appreciate the info you posted regarding Where to camp. Thank You. More Later about who I am, and my channel, which is just about to be Aired. God Bless Always.
Another great video, thank you. Looks like an amazing place to visit, especially this time of year, when I am sitting at the house waiting for a snowstorm to hit in a couple of hours! Cheers and safe travels
Very cool videoSteve. Sorry we missed you the other day. We will be back the first part of February for the Grand Design rally. We will try to find you again. Chat soon. 😊
Great video. Good info and tips. Love your secluded Campspot. Being able to swap out your neighbors at the turn of a key is the best. That’s a great luxury. Looks like you’re having a great time. Enjoy. Be safe ✌🏻🇺🇸
Steve, have you seen the new Tab 360? Pretty awesome with the single bed and side dinette, perfect for solo traveler. You don’t hang out with a group, I would imagine there are advantages to doing that, even a small group, no?
Yes, I love the 360! When I win the lottery I'm getting one. I've only been full time for 6 months, when I get to know more people or pay to stay at an LTVA I'm sure I'll find my group! Happy Camping🏕️
Thank you sir for the information. My wife and I are 1st timers, will be there in 2 days. My only concern is, have you had any problems with leading the camper unattended while going to town? I have read about some people having things stolen. Stay safe and take care
Great, informative video - we'll be 1st timers (minivan camping) also. We're also interested in your thoughts about leaving things (such as a Clam or tent) unattended while in town for most of the day.
This is a great question that comes up a lot so expect a video. The short answer is yes, It's safe to leave your camp, I do it all the time and have never had a problem. Use common sense and keep things out of site if possible. Don't camp right next to a main road. I just got a new neighbor, fellow nomad, and he asked the same question, we agreed to watch each others camp so now I have another layer of protection. Nothing will be 100% safe, when you get this many people there will always be a few bad actors but don't let worry ruin your Adventure! I hope you have a wonderful time, Happy Camping🏕️
The small washes like the ones in this video are fine, there are large washes that are very sandy you can get stuck in when it's NOT raining so beware.
I don"t run the heat at night and the TAB is usually about 10 degrees warmer than the outside temperature. If it was going to get down to freezing I would set my thermostat 10 degrees above that. Great Question!
@@myshoeboxadventures Good to know. I thought it applied to all BML land. I live in Canada. When I was in Moab the dude at the info center told me that you had to be self contained to camp on the BLM land. I'll have to look into this May when I go back there. I plan on visiting Quartzite in May as well. I know the LTVA will have changed and the weather. I just want to see first hand what it's like there.
If you're camping on free BLM land there are several places to go, I like the RV Pit Stop. I get my propane, fresh water fill and dump my tanks, last time my total was $20, not bad!

The cloud formations ,
expansive sky, sunrises, and sunsets there are so wonderful 🎨🖌
"The Cloud Formations", Thank you Carol for a much safer way to discribe what I see when I look up! And yes, it is all so Wonderful🏕️

Good info!👍I'd probably stay for free & away from the crowd most of the time and leave when the weather got too extreme.
Great minds think alike! thanks for watching🏕️

Thanks Mike, and thanks for the camping invite, working on it!🏕️
Good visit.
Thanks for watching!
thanks for info
Glad you found it helpful!
Really enjoy your videos, just wondering if you could stand still when you talk. Thanks.
Interesting fact , MrBouse that the town was named for was one of the few people that have died from a rattlesnake bite!

If it rains, how soft is the wash to cross with a minivan once it stops raining. It's it packed pretty decent or is it soft and risky to cross?
The small washes like the ones in this video are fine, there are large washes that are very sandy you can get stuck in when it's NOT raining so beware.
Would you know if there is any places that offer free shooting ranges near by?
Believe it or not, Quartzite has a golf course and right next door is a shooting range, outdoor of course🤠
How cold does it get in your tab, in the morning, steve?
I don"t run the heat at night and the TAB is usually about 10 degrees warmer than the outside temperature. If it was going to get down to freezing I would set my thermostat 10 degrees above that. Great Question!
What’s the deal with not being self contained and within 500 ft of a pit toilet?
that's only at the fee based LTVA areas, there are no services of any kind on free BLM areas in Quartzite.

Where do people dump their tanks?
