Shah Sahib Allah apko lambi zindagi dey. I was born here in nov 1948. My Blessed father in 1906. My grandfather was born in days when British troops after defeating sikhs entered in famous Qissa Khani bazar through what is known as kabuli gate ,paraded with troops lead by their music band. Leaving the child on the bed besides them,the ladies stood at the courtyard wall and saw the parade. His father Khalifa Mehmud was also born in Peshawar. His ancestors, two brothers namely Ahmed shah & Muhammad shah's tombs are located in area, presently known as Sekarno Square in front of govt. High school No.3. This ancestral land was taken by British and included in Peshawar Cantt.
The two monuments Gilani Sahib mentioned in Qissa Khani bazar were built as result of my late father's coverage of the April 1930 incident in two of Indian English dailies as a freelance journalist, which were not under censorship, resulting in condemnation in the Indian Congress.Later on,he rewrote the incident in Khyber Mail Peshawar at the age of 75 with the heading," Qissa Khani Tragedy. An eyewitness account by A. Wadud Qamar ".

Very happy to hear all this. If I had known, I would have tried to meet you in Peshawar because I kept looking for people in Qissa-Khwani Bazaar to tell me about the history of these monuments. I've vlogged it but apparently no locals were willing to talk to me about it.
I also tried to contact Mian Iftikhar of ANP but he did not pick my phone nor did he respond to my WhatsApp voice note. There are strangely insensitive people.

Sir thankful to you for visiting Peshawar. Please some day do visit Ashab Baba , near Peshawar. The grave of Hazrat Sanan Ibn Salama RA and 37 other Suhaba RA in a large grave.
It was included in my program but I don't know why I couldn't visit it this time, but in sha Allah next time I go to Peshawar I will definitely attend.

معذرت سرکار، غلطی سے دہلی منہ سے نکل گیا۔

جناب آپ کی معلومات درست نہیں ہیں یہ جرنیلی سڑک شیر شاہ سوری نے کلکتہ سے لے کر کابل تک بنوائی تھی اس کی لمبائی پچیس سو کلومیٹر تھی اس وقت کابل بھی ہندوستان حکومت کے انڈر تھا
