I suggest you choose Optimized Mode in Armoury Crate. Its my settings and it save me much of battery time during normal use. What it does is it turned off GPU when in battery and turn on GPU when plugged in automatically.
got the same laptop like a week ago ASUS TUG F15 3050. No regret it runs pretty well on most of my games. 100+fps on DOTA 2, all battlefield games in ultra settings :)
