    Thanks for the helpful video, Phil! I was looking at buying this one but I really wanted to see how it worked and if it would be right for my awkward lawn before I purchased - your video is really helpful!

    My cord breaks all the time while doing the edge cutting, maybe som stonger aftermarket cord would do the trick? Thanks for the review

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  Рік тому +1

      I use the flower guard so as not to get too close to things like brick walls. That way the cord lasts longer. Saying that, the cord will wear down with use anyway so you can just pull out another length on the roll. I have never used aftermarket cord with this machine so I could not advise.

    From instruction, I see that it has semi-automatic wire supplying: by pressing each time of run button, it increases wire by 10 mm. But what if I don't want to move out the wire and waste it? Each time I stop and then run, it cuts off 1 cm of wire. Does anyone know how to disable this feature?

    Very thorough review thanks Phil. I tried one of the ergonomic versions and found it to be too short, so would cause back ache. I am wondering if this version has a longer stem so the upper handle is higher? As a guide I am 6 foot tall.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  2 роки тому +2

      It has quite a long stem that extends. The position of the handle can also be moved up and down. I'm about the same height and I find it to be fine.

    Hi mate, I’ve just installed mine and attached the flower protector. Is the wire supposed to be hitting the wire cutter continuously?

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  5 місяців тому +2

      Hi, the wire cutter should cut it flush although it may still make contact with it which shouldn't be a problem.

    How does the semi automatic line feed work? Do you always have to open the spool and pull it? I can’t see that the button feeds any line?

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  2 роки тому +1

      There is a little button you can click to release about 1cm of line at a time.

    • @iamaduckquack
      @iamaduckquack Рік тому

      @@PhillWyattProjects A dedicated button? Some wording on their website makes it sound like it released every time you pull the trigger which sounds wasteful.

    • @PhillWyattProjects

      Depends. At some point it won't have the power to get through grass. Anything over 15cm high it would probably struggle with.

    Do you know how to remove the plastic head where the trimmer line is on to from the motor? If i cut next to long grass the long grass gets stuck between that plastic head and the motor so the motor jams

      The only time mine stops is if there's too much line out and it catches the strimmer guard, the line breaks really easily though I find I have to fix and re feed the line every 2 minutes
