    The TurboFlo Oil Changer is 2 inches thick and about the size of a cell phone, it can literally fit in your pocket.
    TurboFlo Oil Changer does not require you to pump it, or use a compressor, you don't have to dump the oil or jack up your car it is EASY!
    The TurboFlo Oil Changer will be great for cars, trucks, boats, and lawn mowers and so easy to use anyone can use it.
    We are so excited about the TurboFlo Oil Changer coming soon for everyone, men, women and teens!

    For cars that have an oil dipstick, I have been thinking about designing an oil changer pump that will be like nothing else on the planet and will have the following features:
    1. Of course you will not have to jack up the car as the oil will be extracted through dipstick hole.
    2. Unlike other extractors on the market , this unit will not require
    a. An air compressor to operate
    b. Manual pumping to create suction
    c. The user to dump the oil, it is pumped directly into the recycle container
    3. This unit is very small and easy to handle
    4. Made in USA of machined aluminum NOT plastic
    5. Can extract warm oil in 2-5 minutes depending on vehicle capacity
    6. Does not require a battery, operates on your car’s 12 volt battery
    7. Costs less than some people pay for an oil change
    8. Anyone can easily use it from teens to non-mechanical persons to the elderly
    9. Allows you to change your oil without jacking up your car in as little as 5 minutes.
    10. Looks Awesome I billet aluminum or anodized blue
    Would you be interested in such a device? If enough people are interested I will engineer one like nothing currently in existence. Let me know.

    Excellent video! Answered some questions I had and some question I didn't know I should be asking myself :) Wish I found this video 2 months ago before I messed up (at least I think I messed it up) my timing belt replacement (1996 toyota corolla 1.8). Now looking to replace harmonic balancer (rubbing on case and eat a hole in lower belt cover :( Have a no start issue. Just died while driving. Last thing I though it might be was timing (belt) as I just did it 2 months ago and car ran fine. Replaced crankshaft timing sensor (error code for it) and just now see that crank and cam not sync at proper position :( How did that happen? How would bad harmonic bal cause timing belt to slip? Going to inspect tension pully next and definately going to follow this video when re-doing the timing/belt :)

    • @Engineerboy100

      No start could be the alternator. If the alternator fails the car will continue to run off the battery for a while until the battery dies, then the car will die and not restart until the battery is recharged and alternator is replaced.

    Hi Clint again thanks for a very helpfull video.
    I have a question for you...actually I repair the same engine (7afe) my son car.
    How do you lubricate the engine for the first start...I mine all parts are new and dry..any way to pray the oil pump?or just start without spark plug and let run until lubricate it self?
    Thanks man

    • @Engineerboy100
      @Engineerboy100  4 роки тому +2

      For a first start you can disconnect the spark plug wires or disconnect the fuel injector connectors and then turn the engine over for about 10 - 15 seconds. I also like to wait until just before I'm going to start the car to pour the oil in the top, so as it drains down it coats some of the parts freshly.

    The camshafts doesn't need to be balanced they spin at half the speed of the crankshaft. Porting and polishing will give you increase in compression but if you want more compression without using a turbo you would have to increase the size of your valves also. If by saying "shave the top" you mean decking you would have to put a thicker headgasket on it to compensate for what was shaved off which would be pointless unless your block was warped

    I commented on your other video, so I skipped a tooth it’s 5 before tdc right now is that bad? And I going to blow the engine if I start it up to check if it sounds right at 5° before tdc?

    • @Engineerboy100
      @Engineerboy100  Рік тому +1

      If you know the timing is off, YES, that is bad. Don't start it. Make sure the timing is correct first, then start the car.

    • @Corolla_Beau
      @Corolla_Beau Рік тому

      @@Engineerboy100 I clocked the crank a bit and put it on the tooth before. Started it and it sounds good just like before. Only thing, it cranks maybe an extra revolution to start. Is that something to worry about? Timing seems to be on point( the factory cover is plastic that has a couple millimeters of play) I don’t think it’s more than 1° of difference but to skip another tooth might be way off timing.
      Also. The cams are in sync cause I locked them and never touched them.
      Just wondering why it takes longer to crank start now, maybe the belt is too tight at tensioner?

    My Corolla has low compression for some reason. New headgasket and resurfaced head, new timing belt, crank and cams are timed with each other, valve clearances are within spec, piston rings are good (compression doesn’t go up when oil is poured into cylinder), valves seat, new head bolts, also used the copper headgasket spray as well for insurance. Have no idea why my car has low compression.

    your videos are very good, How to the valve gap and clearance check on corolla 7afe?

    • @Engineerboy100
      @Engineerboy100  9 років тому

      Rogerio Duarte You have to measure the space between the cam and the lifter, then measure the shim thickness. The shim is on top of the lifter. the way to adjust the clearance is to replace the shims to a thickness that brings the gap into spec.

  • @Engineerboy100
    @Engineerboy100  12 років тому

    A valve adjustment is not where I would start. I would start by making sure the timing is correct and the throttle position sensor is adjusted correctly. I would also change the PCV valve, oil gets into the intake manifold when these go bad. Adjusting the valves is not an easy task, it involves taking the cam shafts out and adjusting the caps ... not something you want to do if you are a beginner. good luck.
