- George is out of time on his unemployment and he works harder than ever on his scheme to get a 13-week extension. He tells the unemployment office he was close to a job with Vandelay Industries, a company that makes latex products and whose main office is Jerry's apartment.

I used Art Vandelay as a job reference once. I put down a friends number. They never called but I got the job anyway. We still laugh about that.
No you didn't.
So this scenario is not too uncommon as i thought.
I got a job as the foreman of Vandeley I’m now the Vice President. They found out years later. But I fit in and they had a good laugh about it
Maybe the guy in HR loved Seinfeld too
Bro I did the same thing. 😂
LOL Kramer completely fucks it up.
'No, you're way way way off.'
I like how Elaine tries to save George's lie when Kramer answers
"No, George" hahaha she TRIED to help him hahaha
Love how Elaine and Kramer just sit there awkwardly glancing at each other when left alone. Clearly friends of friends at this point in the series.
George Costanza. Funniest sitcom character ever.
"I've been lying to you for three days and now you're all screwing me!"
Joe Mayo's chair. lol
lol he is always so p----d off. hahaha
I have a Vandelay Industries T-shirt. Every time I get a compliment I know who I can trust 😂
Usually yeah. There are exceptions though. A good buddy of mine had a boss that knew every bit of Seinfeld, then it turned out that he did the kind of thing where they took his computer away. :S
Can I be your latex salesman?
@@nastimusnateimus yes ma'am
@1111111 11 whomst
So is Art a latex salesman or an importer/exporter? Or is he a judge?
If I ever get a phone call from a telemarketer, I will answer with "Vandelay Industries, Kel Varnsen speaking. How may we help you?"
The way Jerry says "I don't think so" kills me everytime hahaha
"Whatdelay Industries ?" "... VANDELAY, SAY VANDELAY"
This is one of funniest Seinfeld moments I've ever seen! Lol
The line "And you want to be my latex salesman" was ad libbed.
...funny guy!
@@Jose-se9pu JERRY SEINFELD IS A FUNNY GUY!
Jerry should consider a career as a comedian.
@@GaryMillyz Doesn't make it any less ad libbed. Wasn't in the original script after all.
@@jiggywithit4869 but maybe it wassss- seeecrretelyyyyy
I love how disheveled George looks when he bursts into Jerry’s apartment 😂
it would have to be a horribly hard life living as George.....god, the stress, lol
George is a better architect than he is a latix salesman. And he's a better marine bioligist than he is an architect.
the ocean was angry that day my friend.....
Like an old man 👴 sending back soup in a deli...
Get a life dude its just a tv show
Latex*
@@MareZcare -- That's what Lucille Ball said before I gave her her first orgasm back stage after the first episode of The Lucille Ball Show. I tell ya, she sure changed her attitude about TV after that!
If George put this much effort into any of his actual jobs he’d be living the high life.
Amen, like Scarface. hahaha
I just watched this the other day and nearly 20 years later it still makes me laugh til I cry
"What delay industries?" Lmao!
NO!!!
Funniest sitcom ever hands-down, pound for pound 😂🤣😂🤣
"And you want to be my latex salesman...."
BEST LINE OUT OF THE WHOLE EPISODE!
Jerry improvised that last line.. lmao
This was one of the best episodes they made. The JFK re enactment spoof and George's unemployment part and Kramer's Golf.
VANDELAY !! SAY VANDELAY !!
Kel Varnsen is my favorite alias.
I will never stop laughing at this scene no matter how many times I've seen it
"I'm gonna hire YOU as my latex salesman? I don't think so." 😂😂😂😂
My favorite scene from the entire series of Seinfeld!!!
Doesn't George always take off his shirt whenever he's using the bathroom? Hahaha
I do that too btw
david mckesey. Is it freeing?
david mckesey weirdo
That is why he took so long to get off the bathroom... he was dressing up...
@@youknowwhoiam2771 Unencumbered
Mr. Pennypacker was rumored to be interested in buying out that company.
To say nothing of Mr. Penske. Truly Art Vandelay is Penske material.
If I recall, Vandelay Industries’s flagship account was Dr. van Nostrand from the clinic
2:19 And you want to be my latex salesman. LOL!!!
Jacob Salamone Quite apt! That would be the punchline of the entire bit.
Typical Jerry
George deserved an Emmy for this scene alone.
"I don't think so" LMAO
At least weekly I use that line: "And you wanna be my latex salesman." High-larry-us!
Cringe
Classic. I can watch this over and over. Love it how Jerry will only consider hiring George, it's not a done deal!
Kel Varnsen speaking!
"And you want to be my latex salesman?"
"How did you know who they wanted?!"
Back in the early 90s when you could still lie about your employment prospects back when there was no internet readily available to look up a company online lol
This could only happen to George Costanza. :)
George is getting upset!
haha i like how the newspaper is on the wrong side in the insert shot after Jerry walks in
This and the soup Nazi are the funniest bits in the whole series
And you wanna be my latex salesman?
"Yello, what delay industries, no your way way way off" Hilarious!!!!!!!!
For me, this is hands down the best scene of the series :)
hahaha. George FREAKS OUT in this one lol just awesome. and Jerry's reaction, too haha
VANDELAY SAY VANDELAY!!
I’ll go to my grave believing George Costanza is the greatest character in the history of sitcoms.
"Kel Varnsen speaking" :-P
jerry's shirt & turtleneck sweater....outstanding
George Costanza, Archie Bunker, George Jefferson, Fred Sanford, Al Bundy, Dan Fielding, Alex P. Keaton and Barney Fife, the greatest sitcom characters of all time!
“And you wanna be my latex salesman.” Is one of the funniest lines on the show!
also look at the newspaper on the floor, it changes sides
haha george's my favorite character
That's gold! (Gratuitous Banya reference)
Luv how George runs :D
haha, the DESPERATION of George.....god, what a chaotic life hahahaaaaaaa
This is my favorite episode, too. And George is my favorite character as well!
I love all their aliases, Kel Varnsen, Art Vandelay, and of course Dr. Martin Van Nostrand.
Probably the best closing line of any sitcom episode ever. Makes me fall apart every time.
this is on par with George´s answering mesage XD
That is one of my FAVORITES. I love when ge sits listening to the answering machine and shrugs his shoulders to "where could I be?" Gets me every time!
Yello.....What Delay Industries?
VANDELAY!!!...SAY VANDELAY!!!!
Now you're way way off, well this is the right number but this is an apartment.
And you wanted to be my latex salesman
i dont think so
The engagement with the audience makes it feel like a community.
2:10 paper at the right of George
2:15 paper at the left of George
2:20 paper at the right of George.
Holy shit! Nice catch!
Whenever you notice something like that, a wizard did it.
and you wanna be my latex salesman!!!
The part where George runs out of the bathroom with his pants down and yelling "VANDELAY" had me laughing the most I had ever laughed watching this show, and then Jerry walks in and sees him face down on the floor with his pants down with no context and I laugh more, and then his comment makes me laugh even more. I paused and went to the bathroom and I was still laughing about this scene.
anyone else notice the error? It is when Kramer walks in and he shuts the door. You can hear it shut. When it pans to Jerry and back to Kramer the door is open
Jerry: “I’m gonna hire you as my latex salesman?”
George: “Right”
Jerry: “I don’t think so. Why would I do that?”
George: 😑
"Vandelay Say That, Oh No No" Ha ha ha 😂😅
2:14 the newspaper hops over to the other side of George.
Greatest show in history.
This line is as iconic as the show, but the one thing I always notice is that the newspaper changes sides when the camera changes when george falls on the floor 😂😂😂
Y'know that Seinfeld's "And you wannna be my latex salesman?" was improvised?
Jerry " and you wanna be my Latex Salesman :o " HAHA EPIC
VANDELAY! SAY VANDELAY!!!!!! hahaha, George is DESPERATE.....hahahaaaaaa......one of the greatest scenes in television HISTORY hahahaaaaa!!!! Brilliant, the panic of George haha
Costanza is the best
Oh God, look at George's hair!! I love how Jerry answers the phone "Kel Vartson speaking" !:)
Hilarious. VANDELAY! SAY VANDELAY!
OMG, George running out of the bathroom with his pants down!! "Vandelay, say Vandelay!!" :)
I've been watching T.V. since 1775 and no sitcom was ever as good as Seinfeld.
What kind if shows did they have during the revolution?
@@albundy6008 revolution was a hoax big league, tell em vader!
"Latex salesman" is the occupation I use for all my social networking accounts lol
Love it! Amazing video! Can't wait to watch what else you guys come out with.
the end quote was great!
Dj: at least you won't fall asleep in class.
and you wanna be my latex salesmen?...
lmao i cannot think of a more classic line.
May well be the best line from this show.
One of my favorite episodes!
What Albert Einstein did for science these guys did for comedy.. Absolutely genius!
this was the funniest skit in the whole show!
LOL!!!! where he darts out of the bathroom and falls HAHA
thank god you added this lol
Brilliant show
GREATEST Seinfeld scene ever
There's a little George Costanza in all of us.
haha never gets old baby if u repeatedly click on 1:57 or 1:58 on george's fall it almost looks like he is chanting hahaha
SO DANG HILARIOUS!
classic. man, i miss this show.

" I dOnT tHinK sO "
From my personal experience, it was this episode that really hit the nail of what it would become. :D
Just bought my father a Vandelay Industries t-shirt for Christmas!
LOL When he falls down in the end!
"i'm gonna hire you as my latex salesman?"
"right"
"i don't think so"
