Works as of 7/23/2023. Chunkbase has the chunk borders if you don't have discord. I outlined the chunk in torches. Made an x in torches and built it twords the front of the chunk borders so I can build a sugarcane farm on the back in the same chunk. Watch out for enderman stealing the sand in the working machine had one break mine. Took someone else's idea and made a dry kelp out of a smoker on the end. Well done liked and subscribed.
Glad you liked it. Although I would advise ChunkBot over ChunkBase all day. ChunkBase has problems on mobile and is known to display wrong information. People who are beginners might not understand it either and do it wrong. ChunkBot gets you each corner (all 4), and it gets you the 2 by 2 centers. It also detects issues and is specially designed and made for this video.
Just built this, works as advertised, but only if the pistons are facing north. I have tried east and west and In both cases, the sand breaks when the machine runs. It may work facing south, but I can only confirm the farm works when the wooden side of the pistons are facing north

Bravo great build for some reason my old bonemeal farm broke when the update 1.20 came out hadn’t had any issues with it beaking before but I couldn’t get it running again it just straight up didn’t work any more. Had been planning on makeing a bigger one then I had and this worked perfectly works the same way as the old one just a block thinker and less kelp flies it without the trap doors earned my sub top notch build guide explanation went easy as pie to build
This farm generates around 0.71 bonemeal per second which is 0.071 for every kelp cell, and if you want regular kelp instead of bonemeal replace the composters with more hoppers and the hoppers feeding into 2 more chests so theres no overflow.
You are wrong. It generates over 2 stacks in just a couple minutes. More than 300+/hour. You probably did it wrong and are having issues. Join the Discord for help. Subscribe & like! Edit: I was wrong, I misread what they said and thought something else.
@@MinerMendsI am right, I did a 1 hour test and got 2632 bone meal from 10 cells. When divided into seconds I see that the result is 0.73 bonemeal per second. You saying it generates over 2 stacks in just a few minutes would make sense with said math, and for every capsule it would be 263 bonemeal per hour.
Ah sorry I actually misread your comment. I thought you were saying it generates 0.71 bonemeal/hour and just hating on the farm man. Sorry 100% my fault.

Instead of 10 composters I did 8 composters and the last 2 spots I created a smoker set up so I could also get dried kelp for fuel. 2 Hoppers pointed out towards a double chest, instead of pointed towards the others going to original double chest. Attached to the bottom of double chest 2 hoppers side by side pointed down into their own smokers. 1 hopper per each smoker pointed out towards a double chest for the dried kelp. I’m on Bedrock as well
Really easy build and I’ve already made it once, but I decided to make another one right across from it, mirrored, exactly the same in the same chunk, and it works fine, except that the kelp gets stuck on the blocks before the hoppers and don’t go into the hoppers, the one I built previously didn’t have this happen, and this also happened with the small infinite wood farm you’ve also posted, any tips?
It’s a very finicky farm botwhale, and requires an exact proper build each time. I recommend doing that little trick I showed in the video. Walk in and out of the Chunk. If the kelp breaks instantly, you built it wrong somewhere. If it breaks over time or after a couple seconds, definitely a Chunk issue. Keep in mind that the orientation might have also broke it (whether you’re facing North/South). There isn’t enough testing on this design to tell you for sure. Keep testing. Hopefully this helps!
Ive been using this build a few times over the years. Its the only one i use but now for some reason my kelp wont grow😭 and when theres no block under it breaks and with block under the sand stays in place but kelp doesnt grow im so lost now😥
You can also get kelp by just standing by the glass panes you can collect it through the wall then smelt the kelp into dried kelp and craft a dried kelp block and use it for all your smelting (you can smelt enough kelp with a kelp block to make more)

You need to be in the middle of a Chunk. Join the Discord and post your question if you are still confused. Its not a Chunk Loader, its a chunk locator. And JC Plays.. I’ll leave it at that. I’ve had complaints saying some of his wordings aren’t entirely descriptive or accurate. Hearsay though.
My kelp keeps breaking and i have built 10 if these builds and this has been the easiest to follow. But im a builder not a redstone person so imma continue to use my skeleton spawner as easy bonemeal. For anyone wondering its probably cause i did build it in the chunk center but my excuse is i have an island i made for these builder as to not take away from my other massive buildings and in not willing to teardown other farms to get this one to work. 10/10 still recommend building tho frfr
If you want a build that won't take away from your buildings and can be placed anywhere you either need a fish famr or to find a spawner only thing is both are manual farms. It's best for me because I don't want my hours of work to look ugly
This one is better than the Skeleton Farm by over 400%. Although, I totally understand your reasoning for not wanting to continue the build. I urge you to try it in creative (in another world), so you can at least see the beauty in Zero-Tick farms. Thanks so much for watching ztag! ❤️

In Minecraft Bedrock, upon my testing, if you stack your builds it can break. If you build it above/below just make sure to to AFK in the same Chunk as the bonemeal farm. The Iron farm doesn’t require to be in the chunk, just the ticking area. But the Kelp Farm does. So ideally a kelp farm would be on the bottom at its max size (this one). Then you would do Maybe an Iron farm behind it. The a mob farm above it. And below the kelp farm could be something else. Hopefully that makes sense. Use ChunkBot to map your chunks out (on Discord).

JC Plays (no hate), he doesn’t build his own farms that I know of and when I used to follow him he didn’t explain a lot of key details. I think its safe to say some of his tedious farms like this one will raise issues due to lack of explanation. As for mine. Mine works, and this one doesn’t lag. Each kelp directly goes into their own composter. If you minimize this into 2 composters like I explained at the end, it could lag yes. You should be fine. If you are that worried, run the hoppers into a bigger storage system. And for the kelp floating to the surface (easy fix). Place trapdoors at the top, exactly as shown in the video. You can alternatively place slabs.
Theoretically, if you were to use a block swapper to swap the composters for chests or hoppers, could you alternate between this farm giving kelp or bonemeal depending on what block is in that place? Just a weird idea I had, I hope that makes sense Edit: it in fact does work and you can press a single button to make the farm produce either bonemeal or kelp, but it just looks ugly as hell and you can't see anything that's going on in the farm
I appreciate the video! quick question though, Whenever I leave my bonemeal farms on for longer than like, 5 min, the sand somehow manages to just fall all the way down and break. Why might that be happening? I'm usually standing directly next to it as well. So it's not me walking away either. Idk, it just kinda dies, but it's a little underwhelming. Is there anything else I may be doing wrong?
No because it wouldn’t be a zero tick farm. It would be very slow instead of rapid. You can watch my sugar cane farm for an actual tutorial that uses zero tick sugar cane. Water logging the hoper and replacing the kelp with sugar cane would only make a standard slow sugar cane farm.
Anyone know a fix for kelp getting stuck on the signs and not being pulled by the hoppers. Also is there a permanent fix for kelp disappearing and needing replacement. Its pretty annoying to have to check up on it and put kelp down every once in a while.
You always have to be near the build. I explained it in the video, you also have to be in the chunk center so use ChunkBot. For the signs, drain your water and plant your kelp carefully. Don’t let the flow of water break.
It's my first time being here. Just for a little more efficiency, can we make two farms in two chunks? That way I'll connect them to a chest in the mid through water and stuff

Hey. Great tutorial! Does this work on servers? Currently playing with friends and this build was been a real headache as when activated the redstone clock freezes on and when disconnected the machine will operate for a few seconds before shutting off.
It works on vanilla’s based worlds. Realms, Dedicated Bedrock, single player worlds/multiplayer worlds. If the server isn’t vanilla software for Bedrock, it won’t work. And some servers might modify the way vanilla works, so there is also that.
I tried building this in a creative world before I built it in my realm but the pistons just break the kelp and kelp doesn’t grow I followed your guide to perfection
For some reason the farm only works when i start the farm, then the kelp doesn’t grow. I just built it in 1.20.20 and it’s also in a realm if that mattera Edit: it works, i made the redstone a little bit differently
Awesome job bro but I I just have a quick question. Why does my water sometimes change the way it flows and doesn't push the kelp into the hoppers? Do you know how to fix it?
The water might change its direction but it should fix itself. When the water messes up there is a small chance the kelp misses the hoppers. Nothing you can do about it because this build is too big. You could try replacing the blocks behind the hoppers with more hoppers. That probably would work but its more expensive. So you’ll have two rows instead of 1, or technically 30 hoppers. Check under your extended sticky pistons. Make sure the sand didn’t fall or no redstone got messed up. Your redstone torches to, double check them. My kelp is not growing,when I click lever it will give me 1 layer of kelp and the piston is pushing only I didn't get anything,I hope you understand what I say
I built it in the center and I built it correctly but once I turn it on all the kelp breaks and it doesn’t work I feel like the pistons don’t work as fast as they’re supposed to but the repeater is set how it is in the video as well
You probably did your redstone repeaters wrong. Don’t use ChunkBase or texture packs, use ChunkBot. Most of those packs are bad anyway and Chunkbase is an estimate. Double check everything or buy a membership for $1 and I’ll join your world and do it for you :)
I just built this farm, I used chunkbase to find my chunk, (i still joined the discord), but this farm is working pretty good. Do you think theres a chance I could stack 2 or 3 in a single chunk? The people on my realm fly through rockets and we also need a lot of dyes.
I am not gonna explain how to do it over text as its complicated. Although I might do a video on it. And ChunkBase doesn’t even provide you with the chunk center. It gives you the chunk yes, but you never get to the middle of the chunk. Use ChunkBot, its why I developed it.

i does not work in my world. (it brakes) how do you manage to contect the redstone to the piaton without drwaing an unconneted line, and does F3 G also works for chuck finding?
Awesome works well, for anyone having difficulty with the chunks download foxynotails markers pack then you can use an armour stand with a banner to outline the chunk boundaries so you can get it placed perfect the pack still works with 1.20.10
Try making sure you did your redstone right and that there are no blocks beneath the grass. Double check everything and that its in the Chunk Center. Use ChunkBot.
Rebuilding it is not needed. Just turn the machine off and fix the sand and kelp. Also make sure its in the middle of the Chunk. If its off by 1 block then it wont work.
ChunkBot restarts every so often so more than likely that is what happened. Free users are only able to use 2 commands/hour. Its $1 to bypass that. I spent hours coding it, no other bot/website out there helps you map put chunks like ChunkBot. So you can either use it, or complain and have nothing.
Its funny cause hundreds of people are using it every single day. Not sure why you are having issues. I also haven’t once seen you join our Discord and report the issue.
PSA: if you don’t have discord, simply divide the coordinates by 16! Some examples for quick application are 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, and 2048. Hope that helps :D
I'd still recommend ChunkBot. Doing your dividing method also won't entirely work. You still need to use a rounding method & additionally add/subtract values depending on the coordinates. Most people will mess that up entirely. Though Discord is annoying to download, the UI & menu makes the command insanely easy to use. Plus this channels funding is coming from ChunkBot (premium members). Not that I don't wanna encourage alternatives, but I don't wanna hurt myself ya' know?
@@MinerMends the method I recommended only helps with corners of chunks, but I fully understand using ChunkBot, as I also noticed it had a coordinate conversion system for the nether, which I would find VERY useful atm. Just need to figure out how to set up my account on iPad…
You just install the app “Discord”. Provide a email/username & password/age etc. Verify your email, then click the Discord invite in one of the videos descriptions (latest videos). And you’ll be in.
So my friend was using the farm and he forgot to flick the level off so the sand broke/duplicated. I tried to fix it by placing the sand back and making sure there were no blocks under the sticky pistons, but it’s not fixing. Any help?

Technically a 1 block center is very mathematically possible it’d be in the center between 4 blocks and it would be a decimal value. And I think its pretty apparent that when I refer to chunk center I mean in the middle of a chunk. So one of the four. Also why my bot “ChunkBot” does the work for you.

Hi, farm works great btw it’s awesome but I wanted to ask I tried building multiple of them and I built two of the same chunk and the sand started breaking any idea why?
Building them in seperate Chunks won't resolve your issue. Check out my 2in1 Zero-Tick video. This basically combines two machines into one chunk and explains how to make both operational.
Having problems with water. Doesn’t waterfall and creates its own infinite water sources which made this extremely difficult to fix, as in result, my sand fell and everything sort of just fell out of proportions after that. Any tips?
Does anyone know how to fix this when it stops working? When I play on iPad and I’m waiting for bonemeal to stack up my iPad auto locks then it breaks the farm lol
Set your IPAD to “NEVER” in your settings. This will allow your screen to never turn off while AFK. As for the fix. When you log out of the world when its on/crash it most likely will break the sand. Check under the extended sticky pistons (make sure machine is off) and clear the sand that fell/replace any that needs to be replaced. Join the Discord Server to be apart of our community! So i extended it to 22 wide and i turn it on and it breaks the kelp once and have to turn it off and turn it on to break the kelp once again. Any tips?

Ive been using this build a few times over the years. Its the only one i use but now for some reason my kelp wont grow😭 and when theres no block under it breaks and with block under the sand stays in place but kelp doesnt grow im so lost now😥

You can also get kelp by just standing by the glass panes you can collect it through the wall then smelt the kelp into dried kelp and craft a dried kelp block and use it for all your smelting (you can smelt enough kelp with a kelp block to make more)

Also I didn’t make it on a specific chunk using that chunk loader you mentioned, I built it underground near my spawn so now I am wondering if that’s the reason why the kelp ain’t growing so the pistons can push them
Also when I flipped the lever off it will finally compost everything but will stop because the kelp isn’t any bigger until I flip it back off again
You need to be in the middle of a Chunk. Join the Discord and post your question if you are still confused. Its not a Chunk Loader, its a chunk locator.

My kelp keeps breaking and i have built 10 if these builds and this has been the easiest to follow. But im a builder not a redstone person so imma continue to use my skeleton spawner as easy bonemeal. For anyone wondering its probably cause i did build it in the chunk center but my excuse is i have an island i made for these builder as to not take away from my other massive buildings and in not willing to teardown other farms to get this one to work. 10/10 still recommend building tho frfr
If you want a build that won't take away from your buildings and can be placed anywhere you either need a fish famr or to find a spawner only thing is both are manual farms. It's best for me because I don't want my hours of work to look ugly
This one is better than the Skeleton Farm by over 400%. Although, I totally understand your reasoning for not wanting to continue the build.
I urge you to try it in creative (in another world), so you can at least see the beauty in Zero-Tick farms.

Hey man firstly awesome and super friendly video style i love it, super easy explanation then you also gave different perspective to check the build the small things definitely stand out you hot yourself a new subscriber also a question ifk if you can answer it but can i make this farm ynder my iron farm? Like i have bunch of empty space underneath and itll be killing two birds with one stone.??
In Minecraft Bedrock, upon my testing, if you stack your builds it can break. If you build it above/below just make sure to to AFK in the same Chunk as the bonemeal farm. The Iron farm doesn’t require to be in the chunk, just the ticking area. But the Kelp Farm does.
So ideally a kelp farm would be on the bottom at its max size (this one). Then you would do Maybe an Iron farm behind it. The a mob farm above it. And below the kelp farm could be something else. Hopefully that makes sense.
Use ChunkBot to map your chunks out (on Discord).

I'll obviously be afking underneath the iron farm ....like I'm building one of those compact fishing farms so I'll be using that with the auto clicker while the iron farm and kelp farm runs hopefully everything goes smoothly....I'll experiment and will be back with the findings
Also also also before this I was using jcplayz's( legend) kelp farm and it causes a lot of kelp to float to the surface of the water and cause lag does this farm do it too?
JC Plays (no hate), he doesn’t build his own farms that I know of and when I used to follow him he didn’t explain a lot of key details. I think its safe to say some of his tedious farms like this one will raise issues due to lack of explanation.
As for mine. Mine works, and this one doesn’t lag. Each kelp directly goes into their own composter. If you minimize this into 2 composters like I explained at the end, it could lag yes.
You should be fine. If you are that worried, run the hoppers into a bigger storage system. And for the kelp floating to the surface (easy fix). Place trapdoors at the top, exactly as shown in the video. You can alternatively place slabs.
Theoretically, if you were to use a block swapper to swap the composters for chests or hoppers, could you alternate between this farm giving kelp or bonemeal depending on what block is in that place?
Just a weird idea I had, I hope that makes sense
Edit: it in fact does work and you can press a single button to make the farm produce either bonemeal or kelp, but it just looks ugly as hell and you can't see anything that's going on in the farm
You are better making a 10 across double extended farm with 20 total (10 of each).

I appreciate the video! quick question though, Whenever I leave my bonemeal farms on for longer than like, 5 min, the sand somehow manages to just fall all the way down and break. Why might that be happening? I'm usually standing directly next to it as well. So it's not me walking away either. Idk, it just kinda dies, but it's a little underwhelming. Is there anything else I may be doing wrong?

You could replace the kelp with sugar cane and put the water in each hopper
No because it wouldn’t be a zero tick farm. It would be very slow instead of rapid. You can watch my sugar cane farm for an actual tutorial that uses zero tick sugar cane. Water logging the hoper and replacing the kelp with sugar cane would only make a standard slow sugar cane farm.

Anyone know a fix for kelp getting stuck on the signs and not being pulled by the hoppers. Also is there a permanent fix for kelp disappearing and needing replacement. Its pretty annoying to have to check up on it and put kelp down every once in a while.
You always have to be near the build. I explained it in the video, you also have to be in the chunk center so use ChunkBot. For the signs, drain your water and plant your kelp carefully. Don’t let the flow of water break.

I built 2 in the same chunk and works fine. Also, I use a pressure plate to activate the farm. means I can't go away without turning it off.

You can’t stack them on top very easily. I recommend keeping one Zero Tick at this size otherwise it will constantly break.

Hey. Great tutorial! Does this work on servers? Currently playing with friends and this build was been a real headache as when activated the redstone clock freezes on and when disconnected the machine will operate for a few seconds before shutting off.
It works on vanilla’s based worlds. Realms, Dedicated Bedrock, single player worlds/multiplayer worlds. If the server isn’t vanilla software for Bedrock, it won’t work. And some servers might modify the way vanilla works, so there is also that.
I tried building this in a creative world before I built it in my realm but the pistons just break the kelp and kelp doesn’t grow I followed your guide to perfection

For some reason the farm only works when i start the farm, then the kelp doesn’t grow. I just built it in 1.20.20 and it’s also in a realm if that mattera

Awesome job bro but I I just have a quick question. Why does my water sometimes change the way it flows and doesn't push the kelp into the hoppers? Do you know how to fix it?
The water might change its direction but it should fix itself. When the water messes up there is a small chance the kelp misses the hoppers. Nothing you can do about it because this build is too big. You could try replacing the blocks behind the hoppers with more hoppers. That probably would work but its more expensive. So you’ll have two rows instead of 1, or technically 30 hoppers.

My water flow broke because my little girl moved my character away. Now it won’t work, I’ve drained all water, tried replacing it and signs.. nothing works?
Check under your extended sticky pistons. Make sure the sand didn’t fall or no redstone got messed up. Your redstone torches to, double check them.

My kelp is not growing,when I click lever it will give me 1 layer of kelp and the piston is pushing only I didn't get anything,I hope you understand what I say

I built it in the center and I built it correctly but once I turn it on all the kelp breaks and it doesn’t work I feel like the pistons don’t work as fast as they’re supposed to but the repeater is set how it is in the video as well
You probably did your redstone repeaters wrong. Don’t use ChunkBase or texture packs, use ChunkBot. Most of those packs are bad anyway and Chunkbase is an estimate. Double check everything or buy a membership for $1 and I’ll join your world and do it for you :)
I just built this farm, I used chunkbase to find my chunk, (i still joined the discord), but this farm is working pretty good. Do you think theres a chance I could stack 2 or 3 in a single chunk? The people on my realm fly through rockets and we also need a lot of dyes.
I am not gonna explain how to do it over text as its complicated. Although I might do a video on it.
And ChunkBase doesn’t even provide you with the chunk center. It gives you the chunk yes, but you never get to the middle of the chunk. Use ChunkBot, its why I developed it.

They move the falling sand to update the kelp which grows it
i does not work in my world. (it brakes) how do you manage to contect the redstone to the piaton without drwaing an unconneted line, and does F3 G also works for chuck finding?

Awesome works well, for anyone having difficulty with the chunks download foxynotails markers pack then you can use an armour stand with a banner to outline the chunk boundaries so you can get it placed perfect the pack still works with 1.20.10

Why when i turn it on the sand is falling
Try making sure you did your redstone right and that there are no blocks beneath the grass.
Double check everything and that its in the Chunk Center. Use ChunkBot.
If your kelp isnt growing, you did something wrong, just rebuild the whole thing. (personal experience)
Rebuilding it is not needed. Just turn the machine off and fix the sand and kelp. Also make sure its in the middle of the Chunk. If its off by 1 block then it wont work.
The farm works great but one block of sand broke and when I repaired it, it just spread and now 4 of them stop working, anyone know the solution?

Added chunkbot to my server and both commands failed to work and then it asked me to pay to try again, nope not happy 👎
ChunkBot restarts every so often so more than likely that is what happened. Free users are only able to use 2 commands/hour. Its $1 to bypass that. I spent hours coding it, no other bot/website out there helps you map put chunks like ChunkBot. So you can either use it, or complain and have nothing.
Its funny cause hundreds of people are using it every single day. Not sure why you are having issues. I also haven’t once seen you join our Discord and report the issue.

Why does it need to be in the center of the chunk

I don’t understand why the kelps grow and they don’t get broke by the piston (sorry for my bad English I’m italian)
Make sure you're on Minecraft Bedrock.
PSA: if you don’t have discord, simply divide the coordinates by 16! Some examples for quick application are 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, and 2048. Hope that helps :D
Also, they have to be whole numbers, just in case you didn’t know lol
I'd still recommend ChunkBot. Doing your dividing method also won't entirely work. You still need to use a rounding method & additionally add/subtract values depending on the coordinates.
Most people will mess that up entirely. Though Discord is annoying to download, the UI & menu makes the command insanely easy to use. Plus this channels funding is coming from ChunkBot (premium members). Not that I don't wanna encourage alternatives, but I don't wanna hurt myself ya' know?
@@MinerMends the method I recommended only helps with corners of chunks, but I fully understand using ChunkBot, as I also noticed it had a coordinate conversion system for the nether, which I would find VERY useful atm. Just need to figure out how to set up my account on iPad…
You just install the app “Discord”. Provide a email/username & password/age etc.
Verify your email, then click the Discord invite in one of the videos descriptions (latest videos). And you’ll be in.

So my friend was using the farm and he forgot to flick the level off so the sand broke/duplicated. I tried to fix it by placing the sand back and making sure there were no blocks under the sticky pistons, but it’s not fixing. Any help?
Also I did build it in the right chunk area cause I double checked and it was working fine before it broke
That sounds to me like your redstone has the wrong torched aligned or you still indeed have sand somewhere stuck.
I have the same problem. Everything worked before but now it brakes all kelp. Everythings is as in the video.

Arent chunks 16x16? If a chunk is 16x16 a 1 block center is not mathematically possible.
Technically a 1 block center is very mathematically possible it’d be in the center between 4 blocks and it would be a decimal value.
And I think its pretty apparent that when I refer to chunk center I mean in the middle of a chunk. So one of the four. Also why my bot “ChunkBot” does the work for you.

I recommend staying AFk for 3mins then turning it off/back on. I found out that if you don't do this you might lose some kelp. Not the end of the world, but you might lose some.

It probably utilizes something to do with the chunk and it can only do it once per chunk would be my guess. Just build them in separate chunks
Building them in seperate Chunks won't resolve your issue. Check out my 2in1 Zero-Tick video. This basically combines two machines into one chunk and explains how to make both operational.

Yup. Drain the water and replant. Make sure the water doesn’t change flows.
Having problems with water. Doesn’t waterfall and creates its own infinite water sources which made this extremely difficult to fix, as in result, my sand fell and everything sort of just fell out of proportions after that. Any tips?

Does anyone know how to fix this when it stops working? When I play on iPad and I’m waiting for bonemeal to stack up my iPad auto locks then it breaks the farm lol
Set your IPAD to “NEVER” in your settings. This will allow your screen to never turn off while AFK.
As for the fix. When you log out of the world when its on/crash it most likely will break the sand. Check under the extended sticky pistons (make sure machine is off) and clear the sand that fell/replace any that needs to be replaced.

So i extended it to 22 wide and i turn it on and it breaks the kelp once and have to turn it off and turn it on to break the kelp once again. Any tips?
Because 22 wide is literally in 2 chunks. You can’t do that. You will 110% have issues.
