Very car dependent city indeed! I own two cars , a 2015 Corolla and a 2008 Lexus IS250. I just alternate between the two but with just one car I would be racking up the miles for sure. I love San Diego, it’s a superb place to live even though it’s very expensive to live here.
#4 “no urgency” has been my personal experience in dating. The men I’ve met in San Diego don’t put any effort in, prefer vague hangouts to real dates, and are in no rush to find a partner. Lots of polyamory, “ethical non monogamy”, and men finally getting married at 50 or 60 (to a significantly younger woman). Not saying this is ubiquitous - just my experience.
My goal is to hit $160k so I can get approved for a small townhome . Hopefully they don’t get too expensive by then . Renting sucks no matter how the property advertise they are luxury brah brah brah , always slumlord style management . Currently paying close to $2700 for an 1bedroom apartment at Mira mesa area .
BEST FRIEND I SERVED IN THE NAVY WITH STAYED OUT THERE - BEEN THERE SINCE THE MID 80'S -- FINALLY GOT OUT - TOO MANY PEOPLE -- CROWDS EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME - TRAFFIC EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME -- IF YOU'RE IN YOU 20'S OR EARLY 30'S AND MAKE A TON OF MONEY - GO FOR IT -- OTHERWISE IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A LESS STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT -- DONT DO IT
HOW MANY KIDS ? COMFORTABLY MEANS WHAT ? $100,000 WITH ONE CHILD IS A GOOD START -- MIGHT GET YOU INTO A DECENT NEIGHBORHOOD -- WE LOOKED AT HOUSES DOWN THERE IN THE $125,000 RANGE & DID NOT FIND ANYTHING THAT WE FELT WAS WORTH IT OR IN A NEIGHBORHOOD WE CARED TO LIVE IN - EVEN SOME OF THE $200,00 + HOUSES WERE IN PRETTY FLAKEY NEIGHBORHOODS@@ericauntraveled8389
Lived in LA, Laguna, HB, Pacifica Nor Cal, Oceanside, Leucadia and Pacific Beach. San Diego is the only place I would move back to.... if I wasn't moving to the Philippines for good. Good luck America! 16 trips to the Philippines taught me all I need to know.
The biggest reason: It's the most boring and culturally dead large city in America. It's like a podunk midwestern town on the beach with 1.4 million people. How many movies have taken place here other than Anchorman? There are cities in this country with half the population and eight times the cultural relevance.
Need new laws Flat rate up to 1% for realtor... they take too much for what they do.... $1 million dollar home and the realtor take 6% = $60,000... yeah things need to change...

Yup! Expensive but lovely. And you'll need a car (or 2) for sure.

How much money do you need to make to live comfortably there?

Oh please, I’m sure other cities would get the same kind of treatment.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, best you kick rocks.
It was nice in old day, now I no longer can afford living in SD, I have to move back to LA.
LA’s going to be worse.

Real estate agents who don't want any business.
I don't think they like it here.
Please don’t move here. Locals Only. Stay where you’re at.
The city is at a net population loss yearly so you have nothing to worry about. You can rot there in your boring ass city.
@@alephnull6457 lol what city are you from?
I'm coming, mf! 🤪
If the way they talk brother you maybe don’t move to San Diego
