    It's about time someone told the truth about Richard Jewell. This poor SOB was the wrong person in the wrong
    place at the right time and the damn press had a field day with him because he was fat, didn't look like any hero
    and they felt he was a momma's boy. Three cheers to Clint for producing this film. Most men at 90 are content

      I'm sorry, but you can't just gloss over the fact that being repeatedly hounded by the FBI and the mass media put a horrendous amount of stress on both his mind and his body. And certainly contributed greatly to him ending up in an early grave.

    • @glidercoach
      @glidercoach 5 років тому +4

      @@NGMonocrom He was screwed over for sure and was stressed out. From what I read, he was cleared of wrongdoing and settled one of several lawsuits within 6 months of the bombing for $500k.
      He never did jail time. Hounded by the FBI? Followed, surveilled sure, but hounded? I don't think either one of us know for sure what the FBI did.
      Whatever they did, it didn't last for years and Jewell was compensated. He had an eating disorder. He was obese and genetically disposed to having diabetes. To say this led him to an early grave is hyperbolic.
      I'll agree the stress didn't help his ability to deal with his eating disorder. It's a sad story for sure.
