    Great info. It’s a good idea to carry one when your horseback. Handy to have if you need to pony another horse.🇺🇸

    What's with the typical loose nylon end after the knot? In my area, dirt, sand burrs and other stuff get caught up in the loose nylon hair-like weave when I am working calves and so I cut that part off.

    Does a hondo necessarily need a burner? If it’s cotton/rawhide

      Necessarily no, but I'd rather have to exchange a burner, than to tie a new hondo because the rope itself gets worn out.
