      Thanks.
I clean every time its used (as long as I've fired 50 or more rounds). Use Bore Tech C4 carbon remover and KG-12 copper cleaner. Take it back to the bare metal every time.... I can make the gun consistently clean, but not consistently dirty :)

What a fantastic set of video thank you very much for all your hard work, I can just imagine how long all the computer and video editing must have taken. I hope in the near future to buy a 6.5 tac a1 and will be very interested in the off lands load in this rifle. Once again thank you for all your hard work.
    Steve.

Thanks so much for the series, good stuff. I thought you mentioned a follow-on video but I don't see it. Are you planning to make one?

Hi Kevin. Thank you for sharing with us. This is one of the more thoughtful and informative load development video series that I have seen. I appreciate the considerable time and effort you have put into it. The production values and editing are top notch and I am definitely looking forward to more of it, especially at longer ranges.
Do the longer OAL rounds still fit in the factory magazine, and if so, do they feed reliably?
What type and height scope rings are you using? You may have said this, but I missed it.

Hi Timothy. Thanks very much for the feedback :)
The rounds still have about a quarter of an inch space in the mag. I suspect Tikka designed the mag to accommodate long VLD bullets. No issues with feeding per-se... although I do get the occasional issue on the penultimate round where the bolt skips over the top. I need to try some of the mag fixes I've seen online.
The rings are Vortex "Pro Series" extra high (scope centre @1.54 inches / 39.1 mm). Not fancy by any means, but they are doing the job nicely.

Really enjoyed your Tikka series. Would you tell me the brand/model of the rear bag lift that you are using? Thanks

It's made by the guys who run the "MarkandSam AfterWork" channel. Their store is at 4aw-store.myshopify.com

A very interesting series of videos. Also how do you find the H2 mod, is it effective. Thanks

Thanks Tim. I'm not really a "UA-camr", just trying to share the load development I do with each new rifle. It seems to work well for me, but everyone has their own way :)
The H2 moderator seems really quite good. Compact and with good sound attenuation. Easily stripped for cleaning and inexpensive. I suspect it will not last as long as a heavy steel mod, but at the price if I can get a few years out of it, that's fine. Time will tell....
To be honest, I wouldn't have bothered with a moderator on this rifle, but one of our club ranges requires their use. So, if it's needed at all, it needs to be fitted all the time - barrel harmonics change on and off.

Is the bipod as good as it looks in thst forend ?

    • @ShootingAndReloading
      @ShootingAndReloading  Рік тому +1

No complaints from me about it. Sturdy, stable and plenty of adjustment. And, because there is no change in rifle mass, the same POI between using the bipod or running a front rest.
