The first time the Next Gen cars are used on a road course. No tire wears, no rain, but several spin outs and only one car lost a tire because a single lug nut was not secured tight. This race was an excellent turn of events.
best part of this race win was that it wasnt just a lucky road course win by a specialist - came after two second places of the season so far. track house and chastain are legit
I remember pleading for Nascar to come here when it was just F1, COTA saying they'd love to host it, and Texas Speedway being territorial and saying No. Ahh thank you for coming to COTA
COTA has hosted several others categories since the track opened in 2012, not just F1. IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, MotoGP, AMA Superbikes, Trans Am Series, Pirelli World Challenge, Stadium Super Trucks as well as historic racing has all raced on COTA over the years. But yeah, it’s great to see NASCAR here, this road course is just perfect for stock cars.
Hey nascar! On that day was my birthday! I hope you guys notice me :) Awesome race! I watched it live for a while! Thanks Nascar! Hoped the drivers had a blast but I know that Kyle Busch was upset :/
This 2022 I'm going for r.blaney 12 too be in the final 4 at the end of the circuit he puts on the GREATEST SHOW on EARTH 🏁🏁let's go #12& #20 c.bell Martin truex jr. Let's go #43 Erik Jones for the top 10 finish 🤩 let's go#9 for ur top 10 finish yayyay!
Oh my goodness, Tony Stewart it's back on the booth since Daytona 500. But now, NASCAR on the Course of the Americas, last year it was a heavy rain all over the track.
Was cool to see what these new cars would be like on a road course. Definitely more like GT cars, especially with that whining close ratio gearbox. Good race.
They’re amazing to look at. Nascar road course races already have some of the best racing you can watch. If they stay this much closer then I can’t wait til the next one. Would love to see maybe 10 road course a season
Bowman should try some driving school at this point, he is only able to make his way through bump and tearing away others ? Nice win for Chastain ! He deserve it so much ^^
Track limits on race F1: you left the track by 2cm three times, you will get a black-white flag and time penalty Nascar: it's still asphalt, then it's ok
You can’t even compare the cars of these two different series. F1 cars are light that sticks to the ground, while stock cars are bulky and heavy race cars that slides around the whole time.
I thought it was a pretty fun race! 🏁 They were pretty much 2 3 to 5 wide the entire time. I love Road Course racing! It was exciting the whole way through. You never know what's going to happen. BTW @NASCAR WHY DID YOU EDIT THE PRERACE CEREMONIES FOOTAGE OUT AGAIN!! 🤔 😔😠😠 Good Grief! This happens every week and The XFINITY Series! I previewed this earlier on my lunch at work. They had the prayer and National Anthem and everything. Now I see 10 minutes has been edited out. WHY?? I don't get it. It's very annoying. I don't think @NASCAR reads these comments and no one responds. It's really a simple request to keep that in. UPDATE: If you upload the Replays with the prerace trackside ceremonies in the first place, THEN WHY EDIT THEM OUT LATER!? I've noticed this has happened twice already with both The Fontana California race and the Atlanta one now. 🙄😔 Doesn't make sense. I've commented several times about this before. I wish someone who moderates these comments would listen and consider my simple request. That's all I want. I'm pretty sure other fans want to see that footage left in! Like I said before, there's a skip fast forward button for a reason if anyone wants to jump ahead. The Busch Clash, Duels, Daytona, Vegas etc should've left it in.
i love NASCAR ! but it is not a world championship series, held in various countries, with international rules: therefore not a Grand Prix. This racetrack does host U.S. Grand Prix events, this is not one.
That was an unprofessional, cheap shot that McMurray threw at Boyer about not being good at math. I just lost ALL respect for McMurray - professionals do not make comments like that on a National broadcast. You are unprofessional "Yuk"-Murray!!
fox needs to wake tf up and actually show some excitement and commentate instead of this half assed whatever you call it. A great finish and they treat it like some kids race for fun
@@paulblichmann2791 Good qualifier, decent at every type of track, just not ever going to be a serious contender because of how he tends to fall off throughout an event.
WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL MIKE JOY IT IS TIME TO RETIRE!!!!!! He messes up every time and is so annoying! It could be a nascar race or a Barrett Jackson auction, he constantly make mistakes. Mike Joy, your time has come! Pass the torch!
Nascar racing or dirty car racing? Clint described the last laps and said Ross pushed others off and even said it's what exactly Ross needed to do. So he meant Ross needed to forcefully take the position away unfairly and that's totally ok? Man Nascar racing is dirty and unfair. If pushing and crashing others is considered normal racing than that shows the people have problem.
The new cars and the track is awesome. They look so fun to drive and even so much fun to watch these cars. The racing is really great here. But the rules are very dirty and aggressive.

Turn of events. good one.
I really like that they called it a Grand Prix, that's pretty cool and unique for a NASCAR race
They had to call it that or Jean Girard was going to break their arm.
These are the upload timings I like.... Hate waiting till Thursday
It's ok back on Tuesday finally
This track looks more tricky than Sears Point. Really cool to watch though :)
Sears Point haha -- haven't heard that one in years!
@@OhRubikk Dude I am not a Fan of the name Sonoma, better go back to the name Sears Point
it would be fun to see these cars try the new f1 curcuit in miami
@@vedangsinghal3038 I was thinking exactly that, there should be more tracks that host Nascar AND F1 other then Cota
My DVR ended with 4 laps to go. This was a lifesaver!!! Thank you
Thanks @Nascar for sharing and keeping the fans updated on the races , my job makes me miss many races
Man I love road course racing!
Except at Indy
Bien por el 43, avanzando. Gracias y abrazos de Rancagua, Chile.
TOP!!! thanks for full race!! sunny greetings from spain!
One of the coolest ends to a race I've ever watched. That was such good racing.
Man I almost laughed my head off when they said no track limits
What a finish! Great racing!
Glad to see a new winner again! Hopefully more to come!!
Thank you for posting the full races!!!!
Circuit of the americas, always enjoyed the racing here, be it nascar, indycar or anything else.

thanks for letting me watch again, from the netherlands
Man this is a good road coarse
happy ross finally got his first win after being so close the last couple of races 🔥
I'll tell you what, I have been catching up after a 5 year NASCAR break. This was excellent.
Amazing finish

@@patrickanderson9023 I knew it hosted other races, but didnt know that many, wow.
The track would be good for a 24 hours of COTA Endurance race.
Road courses are great in the NASCAR Cup series. Awesome!
I will be sitting in turn 12 watching all this on my birthday.
After the first two stages I was worried this was going to end up being a boring race, but damn was I wrong. The last stage and ending was incredible!

Cole Custer's spin was so bad it moved him down to 41st place, now that's intense. 3:05:35
c'mon NASCAR did you really have to pick suarez spinning as the thumbnail 😔
🤣

3 first time winners in this season
Good job posting on Tuesday agian

I am enjoying the race.

Those track limits are being abused hard by everyone.
10 seconds of watching the back of the Jackhouse racing owner, midway during the restart lap. Disappointing editing.
