After only 10 mins into this video I am overcome with emotions of relief and inspiration and gratitude. Thank you both for putting yourselves "out there"....beacons of light, you are.
As a creative introvert I so appreciate this lovely talk! Will definitely check out cat’s work, this introvert could use some new podcasts to listen to on my long, solitary, and lovely commute to work. Basically introverts need alone time to recharge while extraverts are recharged by being around people. Our society is set up so that extraverts on average are more successful in life, but it does seem the internet gives more opportunities for introverts to share in ways that are nourishing to them. Marketing myself as artist sometimes feels soo uncomfortable so I look forward to finding out more about cat’s techniques!!
So glad to hear about Cat and I immediately shared with my daughter. Also have to applaud 2nd lecture in Acyuta’s first year course. Absolutely brilliant!!!
Thanks so much for this cat and adam! I am going thru learning how to navigate being an astrologer/intuitive who is a total hermit. Mbti was my first love and it's great to see someone else who finds value in that knowledge! (And wow! Adam my dad is a pastor too who is a total storyteller. I've actually mentioned you to him saying your story style reminds me of his. Crazy parallel)
Thank you Adam and Cat for this talk - I enjoyed it a lot and found it very useful! Followed Cat on IG and looking forward to listening to her podcast! Good luck with beginning of the new corse Adam - hope I can sign up for some of your courses in 2020! .... Didn't know about Big 5 test - awesome! Myers- Briggs' INFP here ... Best!
This Big 5 test has really got me thinking now... and I know that I will be looking at birth charts of friends and clients to find the astrological imprints ( explanations) for OCEAN - Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism...
Thank you to both.... How appropriate that I’m on the the coach to the Tate art gallery🤣 In the second half of my life I’ve become my rising sign Cancer....Love my own company and have to be on my own to recuperate and if my spirt don’t take to ya I’m not pretending either.
Loved this. I'm introvert too and love the support received from this podcast. Will check out Cat's pod when finish this. Just want to highly, highly recommend 2 books I believe fellow introverts might like. "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Riso who discovered the developmental stages of the enneagram. There r a lot of bad enneagram books out there. Anything by Don Riso r among, if not the best. It's a exciting deep dive of a book. Very enriching. The 2nd is "Lucid Dreaming, Gateway to the Inner Self" by Robert Waggoner. I feel this is one of the most important books ever written. I know that sounds melodramatic but this wonderful study of a lifetime encountering the Higher Self thru lucid dreaming verifies much in psychology and blows past it. (Author is a psychologist) Meeting and interacting directly with the Higher Self ...
Thank you Deb! I found Don Riso's books to be the most helpful too. And I'm definitely checking out your other recommendation - I haven't had much luck with lucid dreaming myself, but I'm open to learning more!
@@CatRose Hi Cat .. I dont have much luck w/ lucid dreaming either but anticipate w/ continued effort will eventually b able to lucid dream. Am up to about 1 every 6 weeks or so. Deb Roo One every six weeks is good to start for sure. I used to do it nearly every night and life was so magical but then I stopped meditating and it went away. Now I am trying to get it back.
@@Queenie-the-genie Kate White that's impressive. Since you have that much innate talent I bet it will come back to you .. The Lucid Dreaming Experience magazine might b of int to you They hold seminars and classes and publish interesting lucid dreams from readers. Best to you Kate 🙂👍
It’s a struggle when the last thing an artist worries about is themselves.... literally throwing everything into ones art... leaves so much less energy to worry about oneself
I think it's important to keep in mind that personality tests are not really Psychology. They were created by people as a guideline. In my Capstone class for my Bachelors in Psychology I learned that Psychology as determined that people cannot be categorized nor can behavior be predicted. The Diagnostic Statistics Manual used to diagnose mental conditions is an arbitrary psychiatric (that's not psychology but the people who believe consciousness is driven by brain chemicals and can be corrected mechanically) construct that is a "this seems to work" with no hard science or even scientific studies driving it (a group gets together, debates, and has a few dinners to create it). If people want to take on labels that's fine as long as they don't overly identify with it. I consider myself a introvert that had learned to appear as an extrovert. Haha! Parties drain me for months and I avoid crowds (unless it's a theme park where you can be relatively anonymous). At the same time I don't let that define my behavior. I still follow my instincts. I just know that's one way I express my energy in this life. Adam, I was waiting for you to cover this in your talk but I may have missed it. What aspects in a chart would indicate introversion? Do you think introversion is result of Karma or spiritual development?
I love that blue wall. Is it Perrwinkle color. My coat is same. Amazingly happy color😇 I think you are not introvert. You are water and you pick up lots of energizes. Then you have to disconnect..im ♓ sun. Sag. Raising. Aquarius moon. I need lots of independence and alone time for real. Recharge. Guarding.

I'm one of many people who got into studying astrology because I investigated it with a fairly skeptical attitude but with an open mind.

If you know the why, the how comes easily.
