The steering brakes are the band brake I tried adjusting it like the book says but that sort of just gets you close I just tighten the band until I feel the band is snug then you have to back it off just a little then you work on the clutch adjustment
There is alot going on in that little space I made alot of mistakes before figured it out just have to make sure the clutch works meaning it pulls drive up to a tree or big rock and ease into it until the dozer spins both tracks this verifies your clutches are pulling like they should and not slipping if there good just a matter of adjusting to where they stop pulling and the brake locks the side to turn
