I think I like Wonderboy here. I think Geoff Neal exposed what fighters need to do to Shavkat. Now, I am not saying Shavkat won't win... in fact, he should win. I just think Wonderboy is a more strategic and smarter fighter than people think
The fact that more people don’t share your opinion is shocking to me. How WB has been written off by so many people in this one is puzzling to me. If nothing else, Shavkat should be more afraid of this fight than any before.
Wonderboy takedown defense has looked like dogshit in his past 4 fights. Grappling ability of Shavkat is too good. Only way Shavkat loses if he gets carried away and only strikes with WB on the outside.
No one is saying Shavkat isn’t a good grappler. I don’t necessarily think of takedowns when I think of him, but he’s still got to figure out the unique puzzle that Thompson presents to all his opponents. Shavkat is the favorite for good reason, but this will definitely be the toughest challenge in his MMA career.
@@zackfisher2803 Stylistically Geoff Neal is a tougher fight. I just think if Shavkat wants to take him down he will. Wonderboy has looked awful in the wrestling as of late. Belal Muhammad took down WB at will, Shavkat is much more skilled on the ground and much quicker than Belal.

Shavkat is a great all rounder but he will get destroyed on the feet. Shavkat has also shown he is hittable.

@@jessem98711 Did you see the fight? Only reason why Kevin lost is because he got carried away trying to prove himself and Kevin has some of the worst fight IQ in the UFC. He literally had WB in a position for a choke and he let it go because he wanted to win by KO. Also, everyone has been able to get WB on the ground in his past 4 fights. Shavkat is arguably the best grappler of any opponent WB has faced. A slow moving wrestler in Belal Muhammad was able to takedown WB at will. Shavkat is much faster and much more versatile and skilled than Belal Muhammad is.
