Can confirm that the Rode were great to deal with when my original NTH-100's had the hinge fault. I love the headphones, so much so that I bought a NTH-100m for use in my work place.
Yes, I believe you can. The links in the description should allow you to access the Rode Amazon store (you might need to click on the Rode store link under the product name) and you should be able to find just the mic on there I think.
Thanks for the review. I'm considering using the Antlion IEM & Mic with an Ankerwork m650 wireless mic system for content creation; enabling the talent to move around. Does thus make sense?
Hey, if I use a 2.5mm to 4.4mm adapter will it stay balanced? it looks tiny not the one with cable attached to it and if it works will it sound fine even at high volume or will there be distortion? Also does the sound quality vary from cheaper to costlier adapters? Thanks!
None of these products are balanced. Are you talking about the Kimura or NTH-100M or just in general? In general, going from 2.5mm to 4.4mm is fine and will remain balanced. Adapter quality shouldn't make any difference to the sound unless it's a REALLY crappy adapter.
To be honest, I was trying to find a title that would generate some interest in the video. I'm testing alternatives now because this video isn't getting much interest anyway ☹️
The zmf gaming cable is worth a look and review It's much better than the audeze gaming cable that came with the LCD-GX Better microphone and better feeling sounding cable and it doesn't get stuck like it does Unlike the GX cable which does get stuck
It's going to be one of those personal taste things, but I do find myself using the Rodes more for general computer audio and games where I'm not looking for spatial cues so I get what you mean.

That's great to hear. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Nice video again! Like the bit a gaming tilt that’s been coming. Can’t wait for the Sound Blaster X5 review!
Thanks Andre!
Thanks for the recommendation, Lach! This was an amazing review!
Thanks Ranel! Glad it was helpful! 🙂🙂
Great video mate. Question. Can you buy a Rode boom mic if you already have the YTH100?
Yes, I believe you can. The links in the description should allow you to access the Rode Amazon store (you might need to click on the Rode store link under the product name) and you should be able to find just the mic on there I think.
so the sound of the cable itself is good? (I mean no degradation? is it a good quality cable?)
Yes, seems to be solid. I wouldn't say it's an upgrade sonically, but it's not degrading the sound

Sounds like a good idea to me

That is unfortunately a bad claim. Even pros use poor audio gear. It doesn't matter for gaming perfomance.
A few have caught on. Generally though it doesn't matter much, simply because the nonstop comms essentially drowns out the game sound.

@@PassionforSound i thought so.

I'll have to look at getting one of those to try
I sold the rode headphone pretty quick it was bad for gaming and was not that good for music compared to the Sennheiser 6XX and Sony X2HR.

Don't step on the sand it makes the antlions go crazy!
Lol
