Really getting into the Warhammer games via PS4 so this will be a pick up for me, but least now I know going in to expect some real slow RTS level pacing. Was a fun watch and good in-depth review. Your getting better and better @Screen Stars good Sir. Keep the movies and games coming :)
@@SCREENSTARS43 Looked it an it is usually 10 to 15$ new copy on Amazon. So far from what WE played CHaosbane and Vermintide 2 are our favorites but we have only tried 10 to 20% of the Warhammer 2 games on PS4.
Warhammer is a really great setting for games and I hope they keep making good ones. I just got this for £2.59 on PS4 so can't expect I'll be disappointed. It seems to be a quite authentic port of the tabletop game with the same rules.. The dice rolling, pace and simplicity reflect a tabletop board game that is over 30 years old and not a ground-up modern computer strategy game. Playing Marines in tabletop was always all about covering channels with overwatch and keeping moving steadily without being bogged down.. Genestealer play was essentially getting as close as possible without being visible then charging Marines or blocking them from progressing. It's a very cagey and methodical game and it is repetitive because you only get so much in one board game box. Not saying the review isn't good because it is. Its descriptive and balanced and all sounds spot on to my experience of the tabletop, just thought this might help give context. Not sure what full price was and i wouldn't buy it for a lot of money because I know what to expect... but the board game is out of print and costs upward of 150 quid, so having this and online play seems a good alternative
Great review. I just got this game, chaosbane (since it’s on sale also and coming to ps5.) I may get 40k inquisitor but might get vermintide 2 instead and shadows awakening as well. Also I’m getting deathwing on sale today as well. I’m new to the games as well.
I’m new to this warhammer stuff but loving it so far and they are supporting it a lot. Like chaosbane is coming for ps5 with updates. I am definitely getting that and 4Ok inquisitor on sale soon before the sale ends. I’m downloading vermintide 2 now as well that seems supported a lot to. Mechanicus comes out later this year. Which looks like xcom
@@michaelschneider1365 Mechanicus and Inquisitor are amazing. I'm loving Deathwing right now too, then again I am a Dark Angels nutter! xD Mechanicus is a lot different than X-COM yet still brilliant (I've about 10 missions in.) It also had the DLC "Heretek" free on day one on the PS4 as well as a 202 page digital art book and soundtrack. :)
Thanks for the review. I bought this a while back and enjoyed it at the start but gave up on it when I got to the Eldar maps with the portals. Found that too irritating. Also, the font size for the subtitles is ridiculously small on PS4, unless they've patched it.

Me too really getting into these games again. Not my favourite this one but certainly worth picking up if you see it cheap.

Less RTS pacing and more like a digital Board Game. :)

Lots of great games to choose from, am enjoying most of these games myself too.

mikejonesnoreally I’m new to the whole warhammer thing.

Yep forgot to mention that the portals are very frustrating.
Don´t know how it is on ps4, but sadly on pc it´s a dead game. So you are stuck with an AI that is more A than I. :/
