Thank you for just the facts and NO obnoxious background music. Well done!
I almost gave up watching this but it starts at 1.26... I stayed because of the positive comments. Glad I did thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and how you express yourself calmly, this is good for us who do not have English fluency. Paul, from Brazil
Wisdom is priceless. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
I've seen a lot of people charging money for wisdom
These videos just keep getting better! Thanks so much for taking the time to explain all of this information.
Those Kharman Gia cars are just a gift for 'leccy motors - they're so cool! I love listening to people who know what they're talking about - thanks so much for taking the time & trouble to do these vid.s :-)
EV4U, you are the man. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for Educating us
Same electronics in my electric R/C truck. Brush less w/controller.One speed with a slipper clutch.Air cooled.
It does have a gear reduction unit that powers the back wheels.
Learned a lot thanks. Will defenetly help me in my electrical engineering career. Thinking of doing a swap in the near future
regards for sharing the information. good lecture to understanding time changing.
Awesome video my friend
This is a great video, i learned lots of stuff.
This is a technology that will be very helpful here in Africa. i follow you guys very closely
This is a wonderful video... quite informative sir tank you so much.
The owner of that orange Karmann Ghia (0:22) really spared no expense and got a Turbo Electric motor!
Very concise. Great intro
I'm really enjoying these videos. I plan on taking your 3 day coarse, if not this year, maybe next year. Last year I bought a 1991 Yugo that was converted to electric. Pretty basic set-up, Netgain Warp 9 motor, 12 lead acid batteries (96V system) and basic controller (Paul & Sabrina's 144V 500amp). Want to bring it up to the next level, mainly replacing the lead acid batteries. It drives fine, but like to have some basis knowledge of EV conversions before I start tinkering around.
Thank you for watching.
Recommend taking a Workshop this year if you can. EV4U offered ten Workshops every year, at one time, last year four Workshops, and this year only two. May not offer them at all next year.
Tnx for sharing your knowledge
thank you so much for sharing,
Update needed !!!! Same laymen description with updated info
Been there, done that. Suggest you check out some of our more recent videos. Thank you for watching.
May God blessings your knowledge
Great video. Very clear and helpful. In the OEM section I noticed that you didn't mention the motor for the Prius or even for the plug in version of it. Is that because they're too small or that they'd require special mounting adapters?
We are only interested in electric only vehicles.
Great info - thank you!
Great video
muchas gracias
Good job
Thank you for sharing all of yours ideas and time above all, it is very hard today to find souch a good teachers. One day in close future I will convert my YUGO GVL to electric. AC rules!!!
Excelent, thanks.
Thank you Videos
have you guys ever done an Opel Gt?
Nope
Need advice on a motor+battery+controller combo or kit. that can move my 5000lb jeep j10 truck and 1/2 to payload

When you talk about DC motors do you refer to Brush DC motors, and not Brushless DC (BLDC) motors?
Series Wound DC Motors to be exact.
Great video. Interested I. Your work shop is it held in monterey?
We offer an Online Workshop. www.EVWorkshops.com

I'm interested in converting a Toro Workman 3200. After seeing your video seem like ac might be the way to go for steep ranch land the regenativ braking might be nice.
Hello Sir, i want to start my own work shop of conversion. i want take practical training about this, plz let me know for practicle training.

This great. I would like to convert my Suzuki Escudo 1600 cc to electric.
This is a unusual question. Do you think it is possible to design a Faraday cage that can protect an ev' s components from an EMP. Thanks
Possible and practical don't always run in the same circles.
Hi ..
I want to convert my suv car (automatic transmission) to ev .. what's the best motor to get instead of the existing 105 Hp gasoline motor to get the same performance?!
Is it ok if I use the same automatic transmission ( as it's ) for the new motor?!
If I used 20kW motor does this mean I must use a 20kW battery pack?!
Thank you

Recommend you contact info@EV4Unow.com Thank you.
Where do i get a dc motor if it is off a fork lift what kind and where?
No you do not want to use a fork lift motor. These are NetGain Motors that are specifically designed for EV use.
EV4U is a dealer for NetGain Motors.

Not in this context.
Why can't you use regenerative braking on a dc motor?
Not so much a motor issue as a controller issue.

I converted my car to EV rear single motor 15 kwt ~ 30 kwt & Facing a problem in moving the car!
When the car lifted and the wheels not touching the ground it moves and can reach to 100 km speed but if the wheels touching the ground it will hesitat and cannot move as if there is tourque limiter or break
After many attempt and reaching 20 Km speed this hesitation disappear!
I need your help to identify the problem

I want to convert my toyota coaster bus to electric , what would be the best motor to use, could you please send me cast
Can I use an authomatic transmission on an EV ?
We have a video that deals we that question. ua-cam.com/video/jXBGVoAQZnM/v-deo.html
Hi sir which battery your using ?
CALB LiFePO4
The big thing I see again and again that I don't understand is why do most of the conversions use the transmission still. When almost no electric Manufactured cars use a transmission. I have seen multiple clutch problems even though it is a part that really isn't needed. I found Tesla originally used a 2 speed but replaced them with a single speed due to reliability issues.
Thank you for watching.
This video addresses your question.

whats with the trend of using WV/porche for e-cars?

WHICH IS BETTER AC OR DC
Depends on the application. For EV's most prefer AC.

Anyone converting ultra lite planes?
Yes
Why dont u guys put ac
Most of our conversions use AC motors. But in the early days almost everything was DC. Our videos span over a decade, check the dates.
How do I get contact

Tesla is an AC induction motor, so a fast fork lift.
Not all Tesla models use an AC induction motor.
There is no caption available for these wonderful videos. There for I am not able to benefit fully. I just rely on body language and black board, Since I am deaf.
Our newer videos offer captions/subtitles but the order videos do not. Thank you watching.

Why don't you make your motors by yourself? The same with the controllers? This is not rocket science. If I had to do a conversion I would develop a suitable motor for the particular car, like in the case of internal combustion cars. And it is much easier to make an electric motor compared to an ICE.
I would personally avoid any loss I could get rid off. So I would go with a core less 3-phase axial flux synchronous motor to avoid core losses at all. I have made some of these motors for RC models and they are easy to calculate, to design, to manufacture und to integrate into a system.
As controller I would use an ESC from the RC model world in combination with a high power output stage for higher voltages, probably based on IGBTs as power switches.
