Back in the 1960s my mate and I travelled from Hereford to Newton Abbot on his tiger cub one Saturday afternoon to see our girlfriends who were on holiday went like a dream
I never kept my first little Honda because I outgrew it and wanted a bigger bike. It went on to teach many other people how to ride a motorcycle and to introduce them to the pleasure of two wheels.
someone once told me that motorcycle happiness is directly proportional to the amount of times you can pin the throttle. Certainly works on my gutless RE Classic 350. Life in the slow lane is great fun...
G'day Paul, l always love the note from a singles engine, that Cub sounds larger than it is, l bet it puts a smile on your dial when riding, hope to see you out more during your Summer, the days are getting longer and a bit warmer here, had a ride with the Club today to a country Pub, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Hi Paul how come you have more than your fair share of these cubs, and others are languishing to get their hands on one???? As a boy many years ago, my neighbour had a trials version and rode it every day to work without fail, one of the bikes I wanted but never managed to get one. Enjoyed the video, brought back great memories of my days on the bantam bushman, my first bike. Thks
Thanks - Cubs became an obsession as soon as I bought this 1958 machine back in 1977. most of mine were bought 'back in the day', long before they carried any value.
Excellent bike, I don't go much faster on my 350! If you lived somewhere like Guernsey, that would be just about all the personal transport you would need. Environmentally friendly too.
The emergency start position puts all the output from the alternator into the ignition circuit, for starting with a low or flat battery, as was the case here. Once the engine is up and running, it can usually be switched back to 'On', unless the battery has had it, of course.
Nice job paul. When I visited the Herefordshire area the scenes there were so Similar with these tight Roads that favor Low to Mid range Torque, and responsive handling. British Bikes have served it well for riders I think. Cheers!

A twist of the throttle & the roll of the wheel is a great Rx!👍
A Classic Mini has the same appeal. They're both iconic.
My first bike, loved it to bits.
So lovely to see your deep affection to these little bikes. My favorite is my 12 hp BMW R25/2. Just pull the cable an feel good.

From Michigan I agree!

Your a Blessed man to have lovely bikes and a job you love.👍
Yes indeed, thanks!
When you take to the road with the cubs it makes me long for the 72 Ducati 250 I rode years ago! Such a sweet song your cubs sing!👍

No explanation needed.
Think I will call this tiggerly cub Ivor, as you said it pulls like a little train.

Paul, what does the emergency position of the switch do?
The emergency start position puts all the output from the alternator into the ignition circuit, for starting with a low or flat battery, as was the case here. Once the engine is up and running, it can usually be switched back to 'On', unless the battery has had it, of course.
