Since you posted that Magikey video, I've been thinking about how to not run the Halqdon combo and going a more control oriented route with then. Would you say the Time Thief xys would be of decent use there? At the very least Redoer.
Wait, The Phantom trap can dodge Lighting Storm? Usually other Trap monster like Eldlich trap will be destroyed even when you summon it to main monster zone.
Some trap monsters (Eldlich, Anguish Statue, Metal Reflect Slime, etc) are still traps once they become monsters so they don’t dodge the wipe while cards like the Paleozoics are not treated as traps once they’re monsters. It’s case by case but they all specify which they are in parentheses on the card
Maybe he was planning to gain one draw from redoer effect but then he remembered he had chrono at the gy so he cancel the draw since chrono need xyz material to comeback from gy while redoer only had one material left, or maybe just simply a flexing 🤣

When starter player play time thief:
During standby phase,
I active my redoer effect, and i chain and active redoer effect :)

Yeah since it become monster after activation, unlike some trap monster that still count as trap card
