Great advice. i keep a foam block target in my truck all season long just so i can practice or tune check while out on hunting trips. no excuses, always check your gear and practice!
I know I’m watching this pretty late but it turns out that I’ve been practicing your recommended way the whole time. I’ve always practiced with the quiver on. Since I got new arrows since the ones I’ve had were under spines for the weight I was pulling. This is something I’ve never thought of.
Great video!! I hear a lot of people talk about the importance of having a well tuned bow but there is not many videos on how to do this. I would love see a video from you going over this. Keep up the great work.
Love your videos. Try mounting your quiver "upside down" sometime. That puts your quiver weight below your grip, instead of at the top of your bow. Way more stable. Why are quivers mounted with the weight, FOC, and housing at the top of the bow?
Tail left means the front of arrow to far right moving rest more right is gonna make front more right and worse tail left as the rest is the front adjustment and knocking point is the back adjustment
How much does it cost to get the bow tune up each time? These built for accuracy bows seems to requires more fiddling with comparing with the good old fashion recurve. If only we all have the luxury to have on demand bow tech. Also every 3 months I have to shell out $75-100 to tube the bow. Damm that’s like $400 a year on top of the $2000-$3000 rig.
You the only one to say move rest towards broadhead I did it toward field tip and worked for me this doesn’t make sense to me seams like either works ?
Good info on all videos.. I have a question for you. My 13 yr old seems to get tired form wise when shooting.. what are some tips to have him do to get better endurance while shooting.. I would like to see him shoot say at 10 yards for muscle memory is this correct or a good idea?
How’d you get started working on bows and learning so much? Were you working at an archery shop or DIY first? I ask because I am self taught (mostly by videos like yours) but would like some actual hands on experience as well to really know what I’m doing with someone that has that knowledge and gear, like a bow press. More or less, I’d like to be able to work on my bow and help others when needed while confidently knowing how to do so. How would you recommend I start getting some of that experience? Thanks and love your videos.
I have been around the sport for almost 20 years so I picked a lot of things up along the way. But when I started working at the shop is when I really learned the concepts behind the way different bows tune and how to work on them. Definitely not easy to learn on your own. I'm very fortunate to have some of the best in the business teach me.
@@InsideOutPrecision I read somewhere that it was bad to shoot with one eye closed so I purchased a LH bow for myself. I'm right handed and left eyed dominant.
Use 86 pounds for deer and elk to run a really strong arrow, which means it’s heavy because anything strong sill have at least a titanium insert and outsert. When you add that much mass to an arrow it drops a little more, so what’s that solution especially for us 7 pin western guys? Increase draw weight or draw length. Since you don’t wanna change draw length then hit the gym and shoot really arrows. Stop sticking big game with toothpicks that don’t work every single time, or break that’s what’s just silly
Before talking trash about Allen broadheads you should know that they invented the compound bow together with bear archery. With out Allen you’ll probably be shooting a stick bow son.
Temperature, elevation, humidity, load variation and barrel cleanliness. But yeah we just point and shoot, no variables like those stick flickers. lol.

Love the videos man, tons of archery channels but few really good ones. This is definitely a good one! Keep it up my dude
Agreed.
I realize I am kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Tony Elijah I watch on Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Joziah Isaias Yup, have been watching on flixzone for since april myself :D
@Joziah Isaias Thanks, I went there and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it !
Found Your Channel a few weeks ago. Really enjoy Your approach to attacking/solving issues with Bow Set Up. Your style is Infectious! Great Job!!!!
You are doing a great job, just continue this! You-are awsome.

Great tip about the broadhead hitting low never thought of that for some reason.
I love this guys videos ..... great info .... :)

This makes me want to switch out my zebra strings even more. I’ve been dealing with my tune changing constantly with my vertix...
Great channel awesome videos make more videos I'm a left handed archer myself rare to see a lefty do you sell a large range of left handed bows
Tail left means the front of arrow to far right moving rest more right is gonna make front more right and worse tail left as the rest is the front adjustment and knocking point is the back adjustment
Nope, it's just the opposite. Try it.
Hi, you are continue lowering when release, check out your video.
I'll take several of your block targets with the $8.00 price tag please😄🤑
What if your broadheads are dead on and your field points are 3” to the right?

Fantastic and very informative videos. Quick question about the offset bracket you have for your stabilizer. Where can I get one !!
I believe you can order them from Mathews. I know Lancaster has a few different ones as well
@@InsideOutPrecision Many thanks!
Do you think a bow that is 30 degrees shoots any different then the same bow at 70 degrees? Not the weather but the actual bow temp.

Yeah keep him shooting close for awhile. As far as fatigue goes, he'll get stronger the more he shoots. All about the reps
@@InsideOutPrecision thats what I've told him.. shoot until he gets tired. Then wait a few the keep shooting close.. gotta boost those numbers
Where are you guys located at
Springfield OR
whats the off set stabilizer brand? thank you.
Matthews makes that bracket.

Where is your shop at? What city?
Springfield, OR
@@InsideOutPrecision oh nice! I’m up I’m in Salem. I just ordered a Prime Logic and should go there when I do my set up. What’s the shop name?
The Bow Rack
Can you tell where to get a quiver offset bracket?
B stinger and Mathews both make one
Train the way you want to fight... drunk for most people. Lol
Are you using that same Broadhead in the field or dedicating it to sighting in?
I'll shoot it at grouse or coyotes but generally I use a brand new one for elk or deer.
How do you like running your nock height?
Always start level and adjust if needed. But there are a few things I do to alleviate a tail high/low tear before moving the nock height
@@InsideOutPrecision OK thanks man you really give out the best info I have found really enjoy all your vids thanks!
Do you shoot a lefty bow because you're left handed or left eyed dominant?
I'm both. If you're cross dominant, you need to shoot with your dominant eye closed though or it will take over without you noticing!
@@InsideOutPrecision I read somewhere that it was bad to shoot with one eye closed so I purchased a LH bow for myself. I'm right handed and left eyed dominant.
"I don't know why anyone wants to shoot 86 pounds at deer or an elk."
*Cam Hanes enters the chat*
I went to go to your guys shop on Ebay and it says your still on vacation, do you know when it'll be back up and running?
She'll be back in the shop early next week

I felt bad when you said you had to tune an 80 pound bow because your the only left handed guy
Before talking trash about Allen broadheads you should know that they invented the compound bow together with bear archery. With out Allen you’ll probably be shooting a stick bow son.
Doesn't mean their broadheads don't suck haha!!!
Lol rifles don’t stay the same they change over time as your barrel wears

Why is it silly to pull 86 lbs for deer and elk? Aren't you pulling 70? 40 would get the job done, so who are you say?
It's just Overkill in my opinion. If 40 gets the job done, no need to wear your shoulder out pulling 90!
My point was just that 70 is overkill as well. Most of the guys accusing others of being “silly” as you put it, are in the same exact boat!
@@dgriswold93 yeah I guess whatever you can pull comfortably is what you should shoot. I can pull 70 all day without getting tired so it's manageable. Maybe the guy who was pulling 86 can too🤷🏻♂️
I shoot a big mechanical broadhead and a 78 pound bow with a 500 grain arrow that weight is more than comfortable for me 2 holes are better than 1
