If Discovery takes any of the Street Outlaws/NPK stuff off the air they are going to lose members. That and the Gold Rush, Bering Sea Gold, Gold Rush White Water CARRY the network and the other stuff is OLD CONTENT.
People want NEW CONTENT and not reruns.

Cost of building and supporting a car , travel expense, family stress, certain people getting the big sponsors all cost a person. It isn't a middle class mans game!
Money ruins everything
You know I have been involved in Drag racing since the late 60s. It always happens. They create a new class and just a few years later it becomes way too expensive to participate in without sponsorship. Then we are forced to watch the same people over and over year after year, Then it becomes boring like NHRA (Chevy) Pro Stock or Funny Car and Top Fuel classes. Like factory stock becoming the class for the rich and connected. Now it's evolved to Factory X. I love them though because all the car makers are represented.
So no real contender Are we ever going to get NPK6 on tv?

It's become big money racing, without sponsorship they can't afford to be competitive. This is not "Street Outlaws."
Technically you are right these are no longer "street" vehicles but alot of people would argue NPK is better for a multitude of reasons also it makes way more money than street outlaws ever did because its fully legal and done during the day where anyone can buy a ticket and go watch live and in person, bring the kids and its a full on family affair. Though i completely agree that the normal show was better in my opinion but can totally see that npk is definitely more family friendly.
NPK gas run its course just look at all the empty seats at the end of last year.
This weekend in Maple Grove with cold weather and a non preped surface with night racing I be very surprised if a few cars don't get banged up.
That race needs to be during the summer in Maple Grove spring and fall don't work
That comment didn't age well. Packed house Friday and Saturday. Definitely would've had more people had they gone to maple Grove in late June but still a very full race.

None of those were winners. None are missed.
because there is no season 7 when season 6 is completely looked over and won't ever be seen. as long as the prize money is there i am sure they will get some racers but until tv coverage comes back guys will be checking out can't afford what they created anymore just like everything in the world right now.
Alot the guys choose not to run the first few races because they weren't point races chuck decide to take this year orf because he wanted to spend time with his family

You would've figured big Chief would've started a top10 last again on his own. But he isn't doing anything but a video here and there. I quit watching his website boring
