Well speaking from my school of thought about the remarkable act of the British during their glorious claimed "golden age" , I would say that it was indeed remarkably satanic by how they used to employ the "Divide and rule" strategy to manage to rule the world, particularly India, while bringing oppression to the seeds of India where the Indians were outrageously trampled under the feet of British for the sake of the benefits of England.

Thank you for this. I was just browsing through UA-cam when I came across this video. I'd just like to point out that there are a few mistakes in the subtitles and I would like to bring them to your notice since you are a channel devoted to improving the language skills of your viewers. Paying attention to punctuation is also a major concern.
0:52 - I more or less know WHAT'S expected of me
1:02 - the arguments that WERE advanced
1:45 - handloom WEAVERS, for example, FAMED across the world
2:15 - dark and satanic mills of VICTORIAN England
2:28 - WENT from having 27 per cent
3:11 - the source OF highly paid employment
8:33 - supply to demand FOR MASS transport
11:05 - on his knees in the Walter GHETTO
13:21 - the fact is very simply, SIR
13:49 - no amount of money can EXPIATE the loss
14:08 - into your house, RANSACKS the place
Your endeavour is commendable, but kindly pay a little more attention to the subtitles, for everyone's benefit.
    All the best!

Instead of castigating the British for two hundred years of depredations and subjugation, Indians will do well to look inward and reflect on what allowed a few thousand Britishers to lord over a country of almost 200 million (at the time) and almost 20 times the size of UK. It was the classic Indian infighting that was to be blamed. Sure, the British colonialists were monsters, but so were colonialists everywhere around the world at the time including the Spanish and Portuguese. Maybe even worse than the British in India. Indians and Pakistanis even today are easy prey to bickering, jealousy and experts in the art of finding things to be acrimonious about in the name of religion, language, caste, skin color and god knows what else. It’s all embarrassing really. It’s a bigger sin to let somebody use and abuse you for two hundred years and not do anything about it, save for one mutiny in 1857.

  • @debjanineogy2222
    @debjanineogy2222 5 років тому +5

Oh ! What a speech. It was just amazing and an excellent speech. What is so fascinating about the speech is not only the minute details of the British economic policies but also the political and moral principles of the British people who came to India to rule. Also, the fact that an Indian scholar spoke in their so called the Queen's language and pointed out the cruelties , the selfishness and unprincipled British people in India during their long rule of about 200 years. Britain was quite ruthless in her attitude towardsall her colonies,. India was particularly attractive to them for the money and the jewels, of which much was" looted" and taken to their country. But then you are bound to pay for your sins, they say. Look at the state of Britain today. They will be left with nothing, not even sympatyh from any country ,once they come out of the EU.

India"s economy is already surpassing Britain"s, and that just in 70 years of independence. Heck yeah! not even completed 100 years, so some effects of colonialism are still felt today. We don't need British reparations, we believe in ourselves. We are just saddened by the way INDIA Is portrayed by the west.
They see a poor chick ,
with no feathers on it's body.
    Just a ruffle!
    But India is rising!
    A phoenix back from it"s ashes .
Born again with a tremendous energy.
    She"s developing new feathers .
    And her wings !
    Oh good God!
    They are growing huge.
Surpassin" the blue, white, yellow dragons of the west.
Trying to reach new heights everyday.
    And she"s saying what"s next!
    She knows she will,
    she knows she can!
    The Golden Phoenix
    Will rise again!
