It’s isn’t an argument if it’s one sided
Instead of castigating the British for two hundred years of depredations and subjugation, Indians will do well to look inward and reflect on what allowed a few thousand Britishers to lord over a country of almost 200 million (at the time) and almost 20 times the size of UK. It was the classic Indian infighting that was to be blamed. Sure, the British colonialists were monsters, but so were colonialists everywhere around the world at the time including the Spanish and Portuguese. Maybe even worse than the British in India. Indians and Pakistanis even today are easy prey to bickering, jealousy and experts in the art of finding things to be acrimonious about in the name of religion, language, caste, skin color and god knows what else. It’s all embarrassing really. It’s a bigger sin to let somebody use and abuse you for two hundred years and not do anything about it, save for one mutiny in 1857.
That's why I consider Subash Chandra Bose a real hero and and a big no to "Gandhi"!

What is so fascinating about the speech is not only the minute details of the British economic policies but also the political and moral principles of the British people who came to India to rule. Also, the fact that an Indian scholar spoke in their so called the Queen's language and pointed out the cruelties , the selfishness and unprincipled British people in India during their long rule of about 200 years. Britain was quite ruthless in her attitude towardsall her colonies,. India was particularly attractive to them for the money and the jewels, of which much was" looted" and taken to their country. But then you are bound to pay for your sins,they say. Look at the state of Britain today. They will be left with nothing,not even sympatyh from any country ,once they come out of the EU.
