    great review...just a minor difference in point of view regarding parallel projections for the diagrams... perspective gives you a much better sense of scale and depth than PP.... but I can understand graphically they can sit better in a layout... personally I think PP is less intuitive and accessible to casual audiences than perspectives... if they are diagrams then just simplify the perspective... [PS as a director have presented thousands of large projects to clients /competitions over 20 years]
    Love your channel though and still learning from your videos.. was always a 3d and vector art illustrator... starting with Micrographix Designer and 3DS in the 1990's... and honestly thought photoshop was a productivity dead end...(all that effort to product one scene) but starting to appreciate the processes you elaborate .. even though I still can't justify the effort / return on image editing singles scenes as opposed to 3d real time rendering.. where the model has many diverse uses throughout the life of the project.

      The first two projects (Health facility and Social Housing) are A2. And the last two (Urban design and Apartment building) are A1. Usually, these professional competitions here in Brazil require the panels to be in landscape orientation and the measurement varies between A3 and A0.

      Hello Daniel!
      Our opinion is of course biased, as we are the organizers, but we do believe the competition will be a great learning experience for all students, regardless of their level.
      If you are considering participating just because you want to win, then sure, you might be at a disadvantage against more experienced students, but if you want to be part of an international event, work on a project with no pressure from your school or teachers, and see how other students approach the same brief, then we are confident you’ll find the experience very constructive and enriching :)

    • @DK-vw1of
      @DK-vw1of 4 роки тому +1

      @@wikiarquitectura just join a free competition. Pay a fee and not get paid for any work, thats crazy at least make them free. Basically you are paying the winners money, have some respect for yourself.

    • @wikiarquitectura
      @wikiarquitectura 4 роки тому +1

      @@DK-vw1of Hi! We are sorry you feel that way. Of course, we would love to make competitions free, but unfortunately we haven’t found the way to do so yet.
      Organizing a competition does take a lot of work, not to mention fixed costs that need to be cover; the jury needs to be compensated, a space needs to be rented for the jury to meet, support needs to answer hundreds of questions, lectures need to be prepared and recorded, photos of the site need to be taken, etc. Our sponsors do not pay for any of that (they only provide free product/services for the students), and WikiArquitectura itself, as you know, is a free service. That’s why we need to charge a fee to participate, which we have set based on the purchase power of each country in order to offer students from all around the world the same chances of joining.
      We have the support of many architecture teachers and schools, and are just trying to offer an interesting, completely optional challenge/activity, to architecture students who feel like they might want to experiment outside the boundaries of their school, just like if they decided to join a paid workshop outside their school.
      We do respect your opinion of course, and will keep trying to make this type of events cheaper, and hopefully one day even free, like you suggest. If you know of any cool sponsor willing to pitch in, do let us know! 😉
