How is no one talking about this video getting released December 16th, 2020 and the actual avatar 2 comes out December 16th, 2022
I didn't even realize that.
It was done intentionally as the first avatar was released on Dec 16 2009, here they have done the same, probably for avatar 2 they decided to honor the original avatar by releasing on dec 16
I just f*cking realized that when they told the AI about the "Na'vi"

Honestly I think your version is a style in itself. The fact that you can do this on prosumer gear is incredible.
Virtual Production is very exciting. I've been playing around with it for the last few months using a Virtual Camera + Rokoko Mocap Suit. However after making 3 short films so far, I've found it works best when exporting the Mocap first to Maya & re-targeting + cleaning up there before re-importing back to Unreal. As fantastic as it would be to do everything through livelink, I just feel the technology isn't quite there yet to get it at the quality level we all desire. It's close though and once we can get that at an indie level it could lead to something quite fantastic!
This makes me wonder just how much clean-up the Avatar crew had to do.
ROKOKO is dope.
"A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one." I didn't expect you here, Cinematic Captures. Btw, a nice short film that you had.
@@saganthapa7965 Thanks! Been following their work since the start so figured I'd share my experiences with VP
I think mocap is an amazing tool to allow the on set talents to translate to the digital world a bit more. The director and cinematographer's control is so crucial. But it's also worth remembering that animation is a gigantic discipline with incredible artists, going straight from mocap to rig with no animator influence seems to be where a lot of mocap falls flat. I'd imagine that's where the "weightless" feeling you get with mocap animation comes from.
