    A true guitar lover enjoys all kinds of guitar music. We'll at least I do. From metal shred to country chicken pickin to blues slides to folk strumming. And everything in between.

      I’ve been trying to figure out who made the soundtrack for N64’s F-ZERO-X title song, I honestly feel like it was Steve who did that insane shred

    Definitely one of Steve's greatest pieces of music. If I could have one wish it would be to be as good as Steve. To have total control of my guitar at the molecular level so that whatever I conceive becomes an immediate auditory reality. Truly Steve is the greatest guitarist who ever lived. I know some will disagree with this but it's true for me.

    You Folks are good to me. Thanks so much. I'm thrilled many of you enjoy this. But that was actually the first time I ever played this song "live" and its evolved so much since then. I've played it at almost every show since 2012 and when you do that, it develop so many more delicious little nuances. Much appreciation to you all. I'll keep pushing.

    Already in love with this;no wonder Steve takes so much time between albums,to come up with this kind of music and melody he simply has to.We might find it difficult to wait but when finally the new album is out we are grateful that he took all that time.Remember perfection takes time.

    Yet another magical Vai composition, beautiful ear-catchy harmony twists with a tip of the hat to EVH a bit in the intro. It may look easy to play, but mimicking Steve`s extraordinaire phrasing & articulation in the main melody may prove tricky. I will have fun trying to play this song for sure! ... again ... Thanx Steve!!

    I'm wondering if there will be more great guitar gods in the future like Vai, Satiani, Petrucci and even Malmsteen. Don't get me wrong, I KNOW there is a lot great guitar players but this is something bigger than that. There are thousands of 10 years old chineese kids who now play better than Vai regarding technique. And what? And BIG NOTHING. No feelings. When Vai grabs his guitar it is pure magic. You can't buy this with better guitar or bigger amp. Keep rockin' Steve!

    • @chorononzon
      @chorononzon 9 років тому +15

      Those 10 year old asian kids you speak of can't actually play, don't be fooled. They're trained to play the same song 1000 times over till they perfect it. They're not musicians, they can't ever really learn or create anything for themselves. They're just good imitators. Don't let them fool you!

    • @jpturbo98

    • @MaxHazardous
      @MaxHazardous 9 років тому +1

      Vant Hoff I agree with you, those kids that are plastered on television shows displaying talent never displayed any original content, but rather display some techniques, tunes, etc. already invented by its original artist. I'm not saying they do not have talent, they do not show their creative side.

    • @brianwalker9585
      @brianwalker9585 9 років тому

      Petrucci is NOT a guitar god. Neither is malmsteen. They may be fast, but that does not make them gods.

    • @AdamGuitar87
      @AdamGuitar87 9 років тому +2

      Brian Walker That's your opinion bro. If you think that Malmsteen is known only from his speed playing then you're dead wrong. In fact I love more songs from Malmsteen than from Vai. But this is me and my opinion, you don't have to agree.

  • @Art4artists
    @Art4artists 12 років тому

    It's been a long time since he played something like this. This song has something like those old songs with Alcatraz and etc. but not exactly it's different. Mr. Steve Vai always looks for new things, direction. That is the thing which(not witch) makes him one of best musicians and greatest players. Good luck with your new album.
