A true guitar lover enjoys all kinds of guitar music. We'll at least I do. From metal shred to country chicken pickin to blues slides to folk strumming. And everything in between.
+Tim Crothers amen, to fingerstyle tommey emmanuel to simple covers from various artists to pop culture as ed sheeraN, MUSIC IS MUSIC :;D
Here here!
Yeah :D I came through years from Black Metal to John Mcghlaulin ;)
Video game menu screen music.
My thoughts exactly.
Megaman
Sonic Adventure
Yeah'.. To those who don't recognize what a True Musician is ... I'll bet you are ''A GAMER'' aren't you ?..
I’ve been trying to figure out who made the soundtrack for N64’s F-ZERO-X title song, I honestly feel like it was Steve who did that insane shred
Definitely one of Steve's greatest pieces of music. If I could have one wish it would be to be as good as Steve. To have total control of my guitar at the molecular level so that whatever I conceive becomes an immediate auditory reality. Truly Steve is the greatest guitarist who ever lived. I know some will disagree with this but it's true for me.
takes a lot of hard work to play what you Imagine
Love!!!
You Folks are good to me. Thanks so much. I'm thrilled many of you enjoy this. But that was actually the first time I ever played this song "live" and its evolved so much since then. I've played it at almost every show since 2012 and when you do that, it develop so many more delicious little nuances. Much appreciation to you all. I'll keep pushing.
Steve Vai
Nice try faker.
My favorite Steve Vai song. There is beauty in simplicity...and genius.
It was such a pleasure to meet this wonderful man and hear him play live. I've been to two of his shows and he puts on a show. much better than most mainstream shows and artists. real talent and feel goes into how art. I love it.
Every day i come home from my shit job, watch a Steve Vai video, play my Jem & everything is ok

Wow. This MAN is Amazing
😱😁
Already in love with this;no wonder Steve takes so much time between albums,to come up with this kind of music and melody he simply has to.We might find it difficult to wait but when finally the new album is out we are grateful that he took all that time.Remember perfection takes time.
My favorite off that album! Excellent!

Can't get enough of you Steve
We like Steve Vai's definition of "not too complicated." Give a listen to "Racing the World" + judge for yourself. bit.ly/16Jq3Ds
Guitar Center He is right, coz he is making it complicated, You get the diff when u listen Tender surrender.
Guitar Center def "less complicated" if you compare it to "The Atttitude Song" OMG!!!! :-)
The licks in this song are so well phrased !
saw this live back in november..he is amazing. didn't miss a note the entire show.
I love it when Steve Vai throws in a little extra stuff than the recording has, its always good to hear more Vai!

The Master. Great Guitar. Vai The Best
I like his tone on this more than just about everything he's recorded in the last five years. Nice!
Awesome man, great music, it is great!
How can u give this a thumbs down??? If u are watching this vid, then u are a Vai fan, otherwise I doubt u would have clicked. This is Vai through and through. I thought it was great!
Thanks for the reply buddy. It's good to see thats the real Evo, Steve's beloved guitar. Thanks again mate.
Just awesome that he would play it like a cover!
Your kidding me right...this is one of best pieces I've ever heard. What I mean to say is it starts gradually then just kinda takes you there.Maybe it's just me.
Yet another magical Vai composition, beautiful ear-catchy harmony twists with a tip of the hat to EVH a bit in the intro. It may look easy to play, but mimicking Steve`s extraordinaire phrasing & articulation in the main melody may prove tricky. I will have fun trying to play this song for sure! ... again ... Thanx Steve!!
Es impresionante como este hombre toca la guitarra. Es increíble, quiero todos sus díscos!!!
Awesome! wish other Steve Vai instrumentals were this melodic and catchy👍🏻
amazing
Awesome, his technique is perfect
my favorit track
Amazing incredible, fluid, total command of the instrument, technically pushes the boundarys beyond what's humanly possible, Bastards
Awesome
Very good Steve. See Ya in Prague this september.
I love the sound of his set-up in this piece. He and Joe Satriani are truly great musicians first and world guitarists as wel.Able to use their technical ability and creative inventiveness to try and create musical magic. This was superb.
I'm addicted to this song! xD
this song is like a fliying in a dream..is FANTASTIC MELODIE. sateve vai es unico
Muito show !
love
Steve Vai is Shajahan of the Guitar World. This piece makes me see Minars in a modern world filled with cars and other exotic mobiles floating in a beautiful heatless city! This realization came after I visited the Taj Mahal a few days back.
Badass!
His best album since passion , I like this even more
He opened the show last night in St. Pete with this song. It was amazing.
Give Steve Vai a solid tail guitar and you have an amazing player. Add in a whammy and you have pure magic!
Racing The World 😍😍😍
Epic.
It is very nice to hear this song while I play Top Gear!!! Steve Rocks!! :D
I was preparing to be disappointed and surpisingly not. Hes still got it.
WOW!
1,000 Shades of Wow!
Steve is definitely a genius when it comes to melodic guitar playing.
Yes it was! I'm now trying to learn this song and thank god there is a video for it because I was not playing it right haha
this is genius.. his playing is always inovating without losing his style... VideoGame taste :D
hell yeah it does now that i think of it
Oh my friggin god, first time to hear this song and I'm just loving it! Gotta to buy the new CD!
I remember back in 2012 when people used CDs.
@@Jmilillo Hahaha! My comment didn't age that well TBH 😁 but I still buy CD's occasionally to support the artist...
@@metusaalemi I still use them. Sadly cars don't have cd players anymore.
nice!!!
I like it when he lets rip at the end
best joke ever Danny !!! your sense of humor equals Vai's talent
O Maior de Todos.
BOSS!
I was just thinking the same thing about 'Out Run' when I saw yr comment! funny how you get that computer game feel from some songs! Old summer holidays etc eh?!!!
El mejor lejos!
❤❤❤
Nice.
This is one of the funniest songs to play
super duper
I'm wondering if there will be more great guitar gods in the future like Vai, Satiani, Petrucci and even Malmsteen. Don't get me wrong, I KNOW there is a lot great guitar players but this is something bigger than that. There are thousands of 10 years old chineese kids who now play better than Vai regarding technique. And what? And BIG NOTHING. No feelings. When Vai grabs his guitar it is pure magic. You can't buy this with better guitar or bigger amp. Keep rockin' Steve!
Those 10 year old asian kids you speak of can't actually play, don't be fooled. They're trained to play the same song 1000 times over till they perfect it. They're not musicians, they can't ever really learn or create anything for themselves. They're just good imitators. Don't let them fool you!
Do yourself a favor and look up Guthrie Govan. And also Jess Lewis, she has impeccable phrasing and she's 18.
Vant Hoff I agree with you, those kids that are plastered on television shows displaying talent never displayed any original content, but rather display some techniques, tunes, etc. already invented by its original artist. I'm not saying they do not have talent, they do not show their creative side.
Petrucci is NOT a guitar god. Neither is malmsteen. They may be fast, but that does not make them gods.
Brian Walker That's your opinion bro. If you think that Malmsteen is known only from his speed playing then you're dead wrong. In fact I love more songs from Malmsteen than from Vai. But this is me and my opinion, you don't have to agree.
It's been a long time since he played something like this. This song has something like those old songs with Alcatraz and etc. but not exactly it's different. Mr. Steve Vai always looks for new things, direction. That is the thing which(not witch) makes him one of best musicians and greatest players. Good luck with your new album.
