I didn't think a park could actually be this bad, but leave it to Six Flags to operate what I consider to be the worst theme park I have ever been to.

I'm in the 10%. Perhaps people who like This park haven't been to other parks and think it's great. Before visiting many other parks I thought it was great but now I see it's terrible and it's just mediocrity
@@imnotcool2100 who's probaly not 99% Canadian?
@@imnotcool2100 that still doesn't answer the question, and okay I typed it quickly. Ironic you point that out when you write u instead of you just an FYI

I think you really need to understand the backstory to understand this park. It hasn't always been under Six Flags management, and they haven't put all that much money or effort into the park beyond Goliath. It was the amusement park left over from Expo '67, and has been added to little by little over the years. It was never intended to be a fully fledged regional park, much less a fully-fledged Six Flags park. The hope was that Six Flags would bring it closer to that goal, but they just haven't bothered. In fact, instead they took out some classic flat rides that gave the park character and had been there for quite some time. (Think: Six Flags Great America-style flat rides and you'll know what I mean.)
The real point of the park is to be a wonderful afternoon diversion from Montreal, itself. A place to go before or after food and cultural festivals elsewhere on the mid-river islands, or to watch the summer fireworks festival. On those terms it works great, especially before Six Flags when the older classic rides were still around, and Le Monstre was still being operated as a racing coaster. Back then the park delivered because it didn't overpromise. Right now, Six Flags over promises and that's the problem. It really needs to be under better management. FWIW, It's Le Vampire because of licensing issues. It really was supposed to be Batman.
On the other hand, you were in somebody else's city in somebody else's province in somebody else's country, so complaining that you hadn't bothered to learn a word of the local language--or bothered to learn that you were actually in an incredibly bilingual city and could easily have used English with anybody you encountered--that's really on you, not on the 2 million people who live in the Montreal region. Your cultural sensitivity in this video is essentially zero.
Michael Thaddeus Doyle Exactly. I almost felt offended watching this video being a bilingual montrealer growing up WITH LaRonde...
How very true sir ...i worked there for some 14 seasons until the Six Flag ...
Michael Thaddeus Doyle Well say !!
I kinda took it as not that he was mad that other people didn't speak only english, but that having an issue with communications on top of having all the other issues added to the stress of the day. Obviously still on him to learn some french, but Idk that's just how I understood it, I could be wrong.
Wow you're totally right mate! ENFIN UN COMMENTAIRE ANGLAIS QUI SE DÉMARQUE 😁!!!!!
Trust me as a Canadian. Not even a Quebecois, but trust me. Poutine is a meal here in Canada.
As a québécois I approve this message
im canadian too and it is a meal
Me to I am sure poutine is a meal
I went to la ronde and the poutine was way to small

😂😂😂😂😂
u can’t judge it unless you’ve tried it
But like- poutine is amazing
I like you Taylor, but some of your complaints were quite ignorant. First of all, poutine is a Canadian staple. It's a meal. It's not just fries with cheese or bacon, it is fries, cheese curds and gravy and it is really filling. Sure, a small portion could be considered a side, but in general, it is eaten as a meal. Secondly, you can't get mad at people for speaking French and English in a bilingual province. Not everyone in the world speaks English. If you were to go to China would you be mad that they were speaking Mandarin or Cantonese? I'm sure you didn't mean to offend, but judging a park because the patrons speak their native language isn't a valid complaint.
He's just mad about Canadian's people, he sound dumb and ignorant as well.
I'm Canadian. Poutine is NOT a meal, it is a snack, and the only time it could be considered more than a meal is when there's more meat then fries. Especially considering that he got a theme park poutine, which is probably much smaller than a snack size poutine
PizzaProGaming If poutine isn't a meal, how come so many restaurants serve it as such? It is a meal. It can be both a meal and snack depending on the portion size, but it absolutely is a meal.
I'm from Quebec, and yes, poutine is considered a meal. There are amazing ones out there, such as pulled pork poutines (which is nothing like the crap they serve in La Ronde. And yeah, the comment about the language I must say was completely ignorant. Even in Ottawa, people speak French. Bienvenue au Canada mon ami!
Also this guy was most likely treated bad because he was a yank lmao
Everyone’s focused about the poutine and not the six flags review lmao

Why does every non Canadian hate it
JuggerSnake because the non canadian version is made with barbecue sauce
Yeah that must be why. I guess plain brown sauce is a canadian thing as well?
E.T The Extra Terrestrial he probably didn't find it filling which may be a portion problem on the parks part

There are only two decent parks in the entire country. And this is one. Of course its busy all summer.
"I don't think I have ever waited so long to enter a park."
I think Busch Gardens Tampa on Spring Break is a worthy contender for longest wait.
Now imagine this spring break because iron gwazi is also opening hahaha :(
I've seen videos of the entrance line going all the way back to where Montu is. If I got to the park and I saw that line, I would leave.
I'm not sure if I'll ever go to Lake Compounce again after a 1 hour wait to enter the parking lot.

As a french Canadian, WE LEARN ENGLISH AT SCHOOL ! We can understand you. Just ask as simple it is: Can you stop your kids please... Or: Please, stop. French Canadians are not stupide and can understand at least the english basics. We fought so much back in the days for having the right to speak in french out loud in Quebec. It was almost a crime in 60's to 70's to speak french in public, french canadians were judged, cursed at... But we fought. And now, we have our rights, saying that we can speak our native tongue in public. Now we are accepted and then you juste come and say that french is one of the reasons why you don't like a freakin' theme park ? And then we still learn english at school better than you learn french at yours. Bro, sorry for going this far, but hearing you saying all those things about us make me so angry. I couldn't stay in front of my computer and hear what you say about us un this video, I had to write what was in my mind. + Poutine is a meal for us in Quebec ++The workers are amazing and well treated by their employers.
perd pas ton temps mec. pour les americain(pis les anglo du cacanada) si tu parle pas anglais té rien. Ils sont le nombril du monde... gang d'attardé mentaux
that's so rude not every person was born into an english speaking family
So I have respect for everyone. If you speak french or english, it doesn't matter. The only thing I want is the same respect from people who were born in families who speak another language. Your language doesn't mean you're good, or bad or shitty.
Anonymoose, humans are not made to be assimilated, they are made to survive. Would you like to hear it if someone says to you "Let's all assimilate everyone who speaks english !". If english is part of your culture, than french is part of ours. All we want is to defend our culture and keep it in our family as much as possible. Same thing as you want for english.
Et en passant, Darthdeschenes, je suis pas un mec. Ma photo de profil c'est des membres d'un groupe si ça t'a fait penser le contraire. C'est pas grave.
Pain Doré Tu as totalement raison!
PainDoré Totally agree... I know english people who thinks I don’t understand 1 single word in english so they try to speak french and I always need to tell them I SPEAK ENGLISH DUDE
Being from montreal, La ronde used to be really good before six flags got involved, it had more of a local fare feel to it. Once they started to remove timeless rides and replace them with remnants of rides from other parks. For example for the 2020 season we are getting the 4d Greenlantern ride which has been deemed horrible by so many. It's as if la ronde has become six flags' dumping ground for stuff that doesn't work.
well..I guess Green Lantern would have been better than nothing now :D

he wasn't annoyed that they spoke french, he was annoyed at the guests being obnoxious
@Eating food is wow most people from montreal both speak french and english
Julien Boisvert how is he supposed to know that?
The worst thing at la ronde is that the poutine is 11$ and usually it’s 5$
Is it part gold? Because for 11$ it better have something precious in there
probably because the $6 more goes to laronde for building new roller coasters and probably staff payment
Everywhere I go the poutine is 10$+ and laronde HAS THE BEST POUTINE so it’s worth it
Wolfy Cake you should taste the poutine at benny&co, its the best for me🤷🏻♀️
You can get fully loaded Smoke's for like 8 bucks...or at least that was how much it was back when they still had a store in Los Angeles. I imagine they are like the McD's of Poutine, but you take what you can get in the US.
The reason why you can't go around the lake is that they're using that space to setup the bi-weekly fireworks. As you can imagine there would be certain risks to letting people anywhere near that. ;)
Then don't do the fireworks....or move them to a different place!
@@Gen-x-press this competition is one of the most famous international competition running since 35 years. Im pretty sure Six flags would be happy to stop it and put more ride instead, but seing those thousands of people gathering near the park 2 times a week from june to august, I dont believe they will cancel or relocate any time
Thanks atlesse someone knows
@@jaydenchrist6152 They can't! The bleachers for the crowd to watch the fireworks are right across from the lake, which gives a magnificent view on the fireworks and their reflection in the water. There's tons of pyrotechnics setup at ground level too so they take advantage of that reflection. It's one big installation that they just can't move anywhere else, since they're stuck on an island. If you're so inclined to ride that shitty monorail all around the park, you can do so outside of the firework season. ;)
@@atomicshroom I don't want to ride that shitty monorail because I don't want to go back to shitty laronde the park sucks the employees are rude and the coasters are boring except for vampire goliath and endor in my opinion monster is boring and the rest of the coasters are boring there flats are better then most of there coasters is that a thing in Canada because that's the issue with Canadas wonderland but the only outstanding flats in laronde is Titan and demon the park is crap now that six flags came
I live in Montreal and I go to this park every year. This park is not for tourists. People do not come to Montreal to go to La Ronde, so it is predominately filled with locals. Oh, Quebec is French, so get over it! This park is crap because Six Flags doesn’t care. Yes, there are a few great rides, but it is run down and dirty. Broken rides like the Cobra and Le Pitoune are left there to rot. The employees are not pleasant either. There is also not enough employees at the front gates, and it takes forever for the baggage check. If Six Flags would hire better management, it could be a lot better. A coat of paint could help! I seriously believe Six Flags writes La Ronde off as a tax loss. This park has a great history which is lost by owners who don’t care! It’s a real shame, and considering there are no other amusements close by, we are stuck with this one. Please somebody buy this park and restore it to its glory days!
omg, yes, I walked in La Ronde and the first thing I said to my friends "this park could use a paint job"
I live in Ottawa and visit Montréal quite frequently, but I have never been to La Ronde. Montréal has many other great things to offer, and I guess it makes sense that it is more of a local park where you can even take the Métro and bus there.
I am a fan of Expo 67 and La Ronde did seem like a very fun park back then, especially in the photos of the Kennedys riding La Pitoune in suits! It is sad that they are not mainting that part of history.
"The employees are not pleasant either." Ahh the French, terrible and hostile to anyone they can pretend to assert superiority over others
This is North America and the problem is French in Quebec is used way too much .It should be English first and French should be used as a novelty language , the French complain about things going sour in Quebec ,it is due too the silly closed minded of the French .
@@Jay-vr9ir Dude, what the hell is that take ? hahahaha. I'm a big proponent of bilinguism in the province but your take is just awful.
There are a bunch of narcissists and ignorant people saying that Taylor complained about people speaking a different language than him. If you actually pay attention, you would realize that he actually said was "Look, I've never been one to hate on teenagers at parks because I know not all teenagers are like that, but it certainly felt that way at La Ronde. There was no respect for personal space, they didn't care, and it doesn't help that you get a weird mix of people speaking French and English so not only are they being obnoxious but you can't tell them to please stop because they speak a different language than you." This is a direct quote from the video that cannot be disputed. Time code: 3:17.

Arrow Dynamix In french that's should be Le regret and in this video that's don't make sens. I propose in french Le désastre(you can traduce this)
It’s a play on the park’s name “La Ronde.” It’s a joke
Mackenzie Fritz Yes I have understand the joke and it's pretty fun but I just said that in french, the joke don't make really sens (can you said to RMC that my country need a coaster by them please)
+Furius Rider we don't work at rmc we can't just tel, them to give u one

Like, bro you probably went to La Ronde on a weekend. I actually waited no more than 7 minutes for the Goliath on a sunny wednesday. Also if you wanna complain about the kids and the adult that was using the frickin' stall for too long, you should actually blame it on them instead of making the park's reputation go down. Also we're in a bilingual region so you should understand that we speak another language than English.
P.S. Le Monstre is a very 'fragile' coaster since it's made out of wood so it's super normal that they close it often to check if everything is OK. Like the roller coaster is almost a 100 years old so I suggest you just shut your mouth.
PAD FinnTastic it's called Goliath not the goliath

LOLOL , my home park is Canada's Wonderland !
so it has been 2 years since this video was posted, and i think some rather large changes have been made:
-they need to improve on up keeping of the rides. (still)
-they still use the same entrance methods but it is way faster now.
-i only spotted a few problems with fellow park goers (also all teens may i add) with jumping the lines, which staff was all over and made them go to the end of the line
-the music was a reasonable volume (and i do agree it was oddly loud in 2017)
-i believe the meals have been changed to things more filling.
-it is still unaesthetic to look at (like most six flags)
-the bathrooms were slightly unhygienic but like any other public bathroom. (said both genders.)
-ques are still slow due to their loading process.
-they have better employees
-There's plenty of lost kids
Tips to take with you to La Ronde, if anyone is looking to go:
-line up to enter an hour early if you want to enter the fastest.
-line up for the rides you want to go one first when you first get in.
-scope out the park before going
-study up on French, and English (most employees speak only french with minimal English)
-security at the gates most often only speaks french (from my experience)
-don't talk about vampire's name (it is a copy of batman, but had licensing issues)
-just be a good park goer
-HELP THE LOST KIDS (this happens too much)
please keep in mind, this is my experience, and yours may be different. for reference i went on June 23rd, 2019, and they have improved since i last went in August 2017. this is not supposed to be a hate message, but instead informative, this is a note for recent park goers considering La Ronde
i would like to congratulate you on making it to the bottom, thanks for reading
ok I can understand the snack food employees not speaking English but the SECURITY?? WITH ALL EM LOST KIDS?? Thats just plain dangerous!! its the most widely spoken world language, french is not, so if a person dosent come from Quebec, chances are that persons knows at least a little English, not to mention its the second language of Quebec itself. And there wouldnt be anything done about the fact security dosent speak english, because Quebec has a grudge against english, thinks its loosing french when its totally fine, so opresses english and its speakers. vice versa with french and the rest of Canada, particularily Ontario.
@@tornadodee148 You don't need english in your daily life so if you don't practice it you will lose it eventually. Most people do know english, some are perfectly bilingual and some are so bad at it and have a very pronounced accent that you just can't understand them.

Living in Montreal, I used to go to La Ronde ALOT when I was a kid. There was a magical ambiance and I actually felt welcomed (and I'm pretty sure it's not childhood nostalgia). All the game stalls were open, rides were rarely closed, employees and people weren't rude. Having experienced it in the last 2-3 years, I've noticed how much Six Flags just didn't give a sh*t about this amusement park. They cut on everything. Everythings looks dead or on the edge of death/closure. Seriously, they don't even clean up after themselves: there's ride corpses EVERYWHERE. I really don't know what to tell you about the people though, I noticed that too. From what I gathered and figured out, most of them are from the south shore (450) and I felt everytime I entered La Ronde I was in a jungle with a bunch of primates. It is now a sh*tfest and I'm really sorry you had to experience this once magical park (at least to me) in it's current state.
Your video hits way too close to home... except for poutine, I stand by it.

LaRonde is my local park. Poutine is considered a meal here in Quebec. It is still an amazing park. BTW Le Monstre had one track closed not all of it. Also I’m sorry for the experiences of the bad guests you had here. You should give it another try in a couple of years when it gets better things here. Sometimes of their operations can be slow but the Goliath and Vampire are the quickest.

I went twice this summer and didn’t have a single problem. The maximum wait time was one hour (for the Titan and the Monster for example). A lot of nice rollercoasters took only 15 min of wait time. I think you went on a day where schools had organized events.
Advice for everyone: if you want to go, go on a Tuesday/Wednesday. The other days are pretty busy.
And for those who think Montrealers can’t talk in english, they can. Most of them fluently or at least, they’ll understand what you’re trying to say.
Have fun guys! A review should never be a final decision for you! (:
(Btw Poutine here in Quebec is definitely a meal. It’s like you can eat pizza, lasagna or poutine you know)
I have been dozens of times and I have almost never had problems like that. And by passing Coaster Studios, poutine can be a snack or a meal.
La ronde is la trash lol. I was about to go there this summer but then I relised how awful it is.
@@rexon5218 so you can call something trash without actually experiencing it. Seems logical 😒
MrShowbizguy well no I was assuming that is was bad because one of the biggest coaster enthusiasts with about 700 coaster credits sad it was terrible and the worst park ever.
@@rexon5218 Form your own opinions, wonderboy visits 1 day and calls it the worst. So now the first video that pops up while searching LaRonde is a complete burial of the park, and you won't visit because he had a rough 6 hours in an amusement park designed to amuse visitors
At least the park opened on time when you went. It opened 45 minutes late when I was there.
Lucas Bradley I have never been to a park that has opened more than 10 minutes late. Usually, they open exactly on time. Forty-five minutes late is disgraceful. I wonder if that was an emergency/fluke.
yikes
StamfordBridge Most of guests seemed to treat that as normal.
Lucas Bradley Ridiculous. If it were a place with a lot of credits, and I had traveled for a one-day, one-time visit, I’d be pretty angry at losing 45 minutes - and it’s that golden hour when the park first opens but the crowds haven’t arrived yet. I’ve sometimes gotten in half a park’s credits in that first hour.
StamfordBridge It was opening day, most likely crouds were already there
Because you think when french people go to usa they speak french with us
Well , some of them yes. But eh , who cares ?
If you meet a french person and he doesnt know english, at all, in a bilingual country hes probably pretty dumb... so just leave im be
Maybe in border states or New Orleans
@@ignorant5369 No. Bilingual means you learn it in school. That is all. It's usually three years of French in most of Canada, and in this area it's likely three years of English.
@@ignorant5369 The English speakers in Canada don't speak a word of French. So does that mean they're all dumb by your standard? :P
Just went to Laronde. I went with very low expectations due to this review. I was pleasantly surprised. Low crowds, and Le Monstre is actually open now! Didn't expect to get that credit considering it's been closed since 2017, so that was nice. The meal plan worked out well for me and my group. I liked the flat ride selection as well. Titan is pretty insane. I will say though, the park needs shade for the queue lines. Much of the park looks very old and run down with overgrown weeds and old buildings that are empty. The park has potential to be very solid. Refurbish or tear down the old rides and scenery, get that Zac Spin up and going, RMC Le Monstre (unlikely), and get rid of that empty parking lot in the back beside Goliath. Throw a S&S free spin in there and maybe a dark ride, and you got a very solid park. One I'd gladly go back to.
I think that they should open an amusement park in Laval .There is so much space people are getting a bit bored with LaRonde ,It was an amazing park many years ago but with the different managements through the years it hasn't been outstanding like it once was/(Remember it once even had an Aquaparc with water slides)
I got to ride Le Monstre a few days ago and thought the park was supposed to be removing it, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Project Vipère is CANCELED!
Should you visit LaRonde? No. Should you go if you have the chance? Yes. So which is it? 😂 as a side note, there were broken trains and stuff just lying around. I don’t think that’s guest friendly.
Yes, it was not a park that was appealing to the eye. As for clarifying what you should do...go for the creds, but it should not be anywhere near the top of your list of "must visit" parks. Visit if you're in the area and you got nothing to do. Just so you can go once. But don't go again after that. You won't want to.
Hey, good Halloween themeing is good. If its Halloween.
What he means is you shouldn’t make effort to go there. If you’re in the area you might as well to get the credits but you shouldn’t travel to it.
Jack Rosner GP probably be like," Omg, do they use those on the coaster!? I'm not riding that!"
i actually live in montreal so yeah this is the only park i can go too lol.
not to rant, but poutine is usually eaten as a lunch or dinner and not as a side
okay thats just dumb
Coaster Studios how is that dumb haha? That’s such a close minded thing to say
Coaster Studios Poutine is actually very caloric and fat so people eat it as a Meal.
But for the Beaver tail you’re right, it’s basically a funnel cake in another shape. And funnel cake is a snack at every six flags.
What...wow...
Coaster Studios yep
I'm liking this side of Taylor, go ahead and call these parks out, people are paying good money to go to these places and it shouldn't be substandard.

@@Coastersguy And how was it?
@@SirDella He was exactly right. It was horrible, but also I guess alot of outside factors made it that way. I went in October and it was raining so most of the coasters were closed. Too many people to really get on any rides that were operating. Long lines for food and drinks too. I've been to seven six flags parks but La Ronde is the worst. Never going back, even for the credits.
@@Coastersguy Thanks for sharing your experience. This park (from this video only) reminds me a lot about my now defunct home park which is located in south america. It shares many of the bad stuff shown here like one train operations (expected 2 hours to ride an slc), long queue to enter the park, bad food service, and ironically, it even is built around a body of water, in a compact piece of land (is that how it's said?). It's sad because the experience could've been a lot better with relatively minor tweaks
La Ronde needs to be la GONE.
It just needs a serious La Refurbishment.
Or Six Flags needs to La Sell it.

So true
La ronde was one of the best park in the past because there is the best wooden coaster and a lot of flatride, it was magic, but with time with six flags, the maintenance has been neglected, Laronde ceased to receive a good ride, it doesnt follow his time, put decorations of 1$store, for exemple, the Demon, they put only a poster behind it...
Gole Zozol true
No Monster isn't the best I prefer El Toro and The Beast over monstere and canadas wonderland has better flats and wonder woman lasso of truth at six flags great adventure
I have to disagree with you CoasterStudios. I grew up with this park. It's my park. It's the only Six Flags in Canada and were grateful to even have one. Montreal used to have two theme parks but the other one closed a long time ago before i was even born. It's all we have. Don't like it don't go back but I am defending my park.

Six Flags is so smart. Their thought process was lets make a park experience as bad as we can and then ruin the only good thing about it (the decent coaster collection) by removing le monster and the intamin standup which is a rare credit and replace those with the worst coaster of all time!

This park doesn't need that haunted house because the park is way more scarier on its own.

La Ronde makes Darien Lake look like Cedar Point
Maintenance Shop / Darien Lake is actually La Ronde 2.0, they got :
Intamin Hyper instead of a B&M
Motocoaster instead of Wildmouse.
An Arrow looper instead of Vekoma corkscrew.
Both have a Boomerang and a Slc, a bit smoother at Darien Lake.
Both have a bad woodie.
Both have an S&S spaceshot.
Both have the same ferris wheel.
Both were abandoned by Six Flags, yet for La Ronde they don’t admit it.
You forgot Tantrum, too.
Maintenance Shop I actually enjoyed Darien Lake. Sure they ran one trains on all their coasters, including the Boomerang, but the ops were stellar and friendly too.
Don't ever compare Viper to that mess of a ride at La Wrong Viper easily ties with ride of steel.
Wait what??? No just no. Darien lake is underrated af. ROS is my number two behind toro and actually, I consider ROS almost as good as toro. Darien lake is beautiful in a majority of the park and, is a fun place to go. Darien lake is going to be gaining a ton of attention with the new owners
No... it’s a Classic of Montreal in Québec, everyone have been there and even most of tourists appreciate it... It’s the only park we’ve got too... from sixflags (That is near of our houses) Maybe this guy didn’t have a great experience at this moment because everytime I go there, I’m always excited. (I just want to say that I’m excited to whatever park I go to too! :p) His experience doesn’t mean that this park is like how HE experienced at THIS moment. So his judgement is his. It’s not because he said this that everyone has to hate... Anyways still a Classic y’all hate won’t change anything... 😉🤩
Edit: Sorry for the faults, I don’t really use appropriate words to my sentences sometimes, lol.
i only go in the evening and it's always great!
If youre excited when you go to this park then its probably the only amusement park youve ever been to
This is exactly why SixFlags will never fix or improve LaRonde: because all Quebecers go there because "it's a classic". Quebecers would even still go there if they tripled the price.
NONSENSEchannel Mhm. I go to many others parks too, but this one is just the nearest of my home. (45 mins) ...
NONSENSEchannel And by the way, there is new attraction/rides every years. In 2016, it was the « Gravitor » (for family). In 2017, it was the « Titan » (kinda extreme). And this year it is the « Tourbillon » (family). So YES, they improve the park. Next year, it might be a roller coaster, located where the « Cobra » was. 🙃
You can only really enjoy the park if you live in Montreal and can go every week or as much as possible if you have a season pass
Totally agree, La Ronde is not a tourist attraction, Its a Hangout place for local teenagers
Agreed. I feel like it's just in this weird limbo of replacing old rides and not getting new ones other than the few roller coasters at the beginning of the SF purchase. I had a pass from teens to early 20s, kind of stopped going and started getting a pass a few years ago to go as a family. I noticed how many family rides have been taken away (they were old, pieces are hard to find, I get it) but never ever really replaced with anything else. Cool we got some new thrill rides, but I feel there's missing those rides for 5-9 year olds, or even for those that are slightly older but like milder rides. Those who are getting a little too old for ribambelle but not quite old enough (nor tall) for things like the pirate ship.
Guys, we understand you had a different experience, but acknowledge that this is not your experience, this is Taylor’s.

Well, Taylor. You have to consider that you’re in another country. It’s not their fault they’re speaking French.
Tinsote I don’t think he’s mad because they were speaking French. I think he’s mad because, he wanted to use the bathroom and the people were behaving unacceptably towards him not respecting other peoples need to use the bathroom

A bit of english now these days English and French people are bilingual!
Complaining about people speaking a foreign tongue when going to a foreign country is not a legitimate complaint. It further confirms how sheltered and elitist some Americans can be.
I came here for a review of the parc, like the rides and such, but instead all I get is someone wining about being a foreigner. What a terrible review.

Shouldn't you be able to speak both languages then? Maybe not fluently but at least enough to have basic conversations.
Björn Hallström if you go to a place with a native language other than your language, respect that. Your visiting them, they’re not coming to you.
@@jonay3699 Respect it? Sure. But it's not like I expect tourists visiting Sweden to be able to speak Swedish, that's just silly. And even if they did speak a little I'd probably switch to English or Spanish since it'd be easier to hold a conversation.
The thing is I expect both partys to cooperate holding the conversation, or why even bother? E.g. if I go outside of tourist areas in Thailand I expect that people barely know any English at all so I will bring a dictionary for some words, use simple English words or just communicate non-verbally.
Visiting France was quite annoying though. Some people were very nice and welcoming, while some would straight up refuse to speak any English at all. I get annoyed at the refusal to even attempt to communicate. It's not like me saying "How much?" and pointing at an item is very hard to understand. Been traveling my whole life and France was where I had the hardest time to communicate with some people in.
In sweden everyone speaks english, even the old generation. Thats just how it works. Dont see how hard it can be.

Also there is the mini rail that you can go in to travel around the park whit out walking. Yes there are some bad food options but there are plenty that are good. There are not only 2 or 3 very good attractions there is the titan the goliath the vampire the monstre the orbite the slingshot a thing that they put you in the air and swing you down and plenty more. Luke Minosky yeah I agree. Now I know where NOT to go
yep
YESS!!!
Sophie's Blog04 sane here
Luke Minosky you guys got to actually visit the park before judging it.
THIS IS MY HOME PARK
- About the haunted house, they added it in 2015 as a new ride, but now its only open during frightfest.
- Le Monstre received new trains 3-4 years ago and never adapted. Mechanical difficulty and the structure could not support both, so no more duelling. Now even the GP knows that riding Le Monstre is a rare event... And is considered the worst ride in the park for it’s roughness.
- Next year addition is used ride they bought from a nearby indoor mall amusement park. Like a Twist a Whirl and some stuff.
- THE CAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS is that the park host the international fireworks contest. So that plot of sand were they should put a path to make it a circle is actually the launch pad for the fireworks. The stands for the show also block the main midway.
- Dont forget that La Ronde has a Subway station and the trip from downtown take like 10min. Locals know that parking on the island is a mess, everybody takes public transit.
- Actually you forgot to mention that the log flume also closed this year without prior notice. So 2 SBNO for the year, 1 always closed. 3 Vekoma to avoid.
La Ronde: Come ride Goliath and ... our Giant Discovery maybe?

French is the official language of Québec. Why are you surprised that so many people there are speaking French? All you really have to do is ask someone if they speak English (parlez-vous Anglais?, or tu parles Anglais?) but there’s no reason to be disrespectful of culture. Not every place you visit is going to be the same as America. Québec is known for being very cultured and bilingual. Many people from Québec will tell you that poutine is considered a meal there. In fact, most of the complaints you had were either you being uncultured or unfamiliar with how theme parks work. It is common at every theme park to have screaming kids all over the place; it’s a face of life. I’ve been to La Ronde twice and have had great experiences both times. I didn’t let French speakers or a few children ruin my experience. Next time you visit the Montreal area, learn a few basic French sentences. I promise that alone will help you have a better experience. La Ronde is a cute little park and I don’t think your assessment of the park was fair at all.

The reason for La Ronde's long ass lineup to get into the park, is because it's the only big amusement park with actually thrilling rides that is relatively close to travel by car, or bus, etc.. Some of the ride ops are rude cause it's Québec, and frankly, no one really gives a crap about us here, we don't get nearly as many tourists as other places, cause we live in a pretty boring province, so these ops are underpaid, and they have to watch a bunch of other people have fun, and not be able to go on any of the rides. Now that I think about it, I've never seen a tourist in my area, and you can tell when someone is a tourist....

You have to admit that every time you go to la ronde you meet the biggest assholes on the face of the earth
As someone who grew up in Montreal I can explain you why there is so many teenagers (and obnoxious ones) at La Ronde.
The Thing is that La Ronde might be one of the few Six Flags that is closed to a subway Station. So makes it easy for young teenagers to go without having to rely on their parents. So every kids from Montreal , lets say age 12-17 will go with his group of friends in an unsupervised trip to La Ronde. Imagine your 14 and for the first time your going out with your friends without any parents to a theme park: you get the picture.
Every time I go to foreign parks it's weird because you can't tell what anyone is saying which I quite like because you don't gave to hear people's conversations. I like the language differences.
MT, I loved going to Everland and Lotte World when I went to South Korea granted those parks are way better than La Ronde
it is interesting sometimes :)
i personally don't care about that, and it's actually less annoying to me because whatever is coming out of their mouths sounds like gibberish.
It is very evident that Americans are so clueless when it comes to other countries. Poutine is NOT “fries with cheese and bacon and stuff” it is fries with brown gravy and cheese curds. Also most people in Montreal speak English and French. You simply could have asked your questions in English. Now I do agree that teenagers in Canada’s parks are obnoxious. However, parks in the US have awful crowds too. Just go to any park in a Sunday.
