It's not luck. It's skill. You are a gifted man.
, , , and good attitude towards life.😊😊
Good karma. He's done good to Kat and her daughter so the blessings are pouring. People loves to support good guys.
& blessings, Providence. Always foremost (but I submit that is MY opinion), others will rely on luck & effort & millions of other factors …& I will not contradict nor begrudge them their judgments. (I’ll just be over here, praying!🤝🙏🏽🌅)
God bless him he deserves it ❤
When you lost someone but it turns out you were gifted 10 fold of blessings
more like...when someone abandons you and their vows and you come out so much better off....i only say that as i recently went through the same with my ex wife and my now wife.
@@vandinroth good for you. God bless
Hi Michael! I've been watching your Channel for nearly 2 years from the time you came to the Phils and have been moving houses from Islands to cities to neighborhoods etc and finally settling in this amazing city of Roxas, Iloilo. I hear that's a city where Seafood is in abundance. Good luck on your new business venture and in all your endeavors. Laura is a doll baby and never gives any trouble. Kat has raised her well. You and Kat deserve each other as Kat is a very simple & unassuming girl and requires a guy like you and Laura needs a Dad like you. Continued Blessings & good luck in your business, your Partnership with Kat and little Laura and also your Philanthropy work in Iloilo and other parts. Cheers from Ohio!
Make sure you rest Michael. Dont get sick. A lot of people need you
Beautiful beach is there palm trees?
Maybe build some bamboo huts for accommodation!
WOW...Its coming along. Looking AWESOME. Love the vibe and smiley faces of the staff. Go go go 💪💪💪
I can't imagine how much capital is at risk in opening a large restaurant and employing a dozen people. I wish you the greatest success. There is a nice ambiance in your new seaside restaurant that retains a nice Filipino vibe. It's great to see entrepreneurism in action.
ssshh. mike doesn't like to talk about that.he is very humble
Might be a good idea to wear a Canadian Beaver shirt yourself to promote unity.
Keep the videos coming to keep us all updated.
I get so anxious waiting for a new video. A new friends bar, where everyone knows your name.
Cheers!! 😉🍻
One of the secret for runinng a succesful business is being humble and caring to others and i saw that to you. You are blessed.
Congratulations, I wish you nothing but success Michael.
Wow she sings good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💚

Please do a merch for Beaver, like T-shirts, Coffee Mug, Baseball cup etc it will be nice
Great job Mike. Wish you a wonderful future.
While I do hope things go well i would keep in mind how a persons interpretation of something can easily turn things around so fast. It doesn't take much for things to go sour. Even after a year or years. Let's see how it goes.
cheers !!yep, i agree time will tell, in about 2 months when it changes into the regular clientele between then and the next 6 months, should determine which way it's looking to go should be !!at that point if it's going sour,he be prudent?! to re assess the trajectory of the business well and make a guess as to what is working, or a new direction from what isn't that might, re right it. otherwise he too might become that 1 of the 80%. .thank god i already i have my dream, all i need, give to charities, couple business's and a family place already in Palawan and roots in our community our/my fiances father himself is a local magistrate,(same as his uncle was but i guess he got assassinated by a rival, which i guess actually happens a lot) so we already have enough ties with local infrastructure and unlike mike we can tell our magistrate to go home to bed any time we need and he will do it!!not sure of that mayor will
90% of restaurants fail.... i believe this one is the 10%... great job dude
This is not America that mostly family own restaurants there now are failing.
My wife and I have been watching everything come together over the last week and are so excited to see it all come together! Don’t know if we’ll ever get there, but would definitely buy a t-shirt and mugs to help support you and your wonderful staff! Hope to get there one day!
Now I know where I need to stop when I'm in Roxas. I'm so happy for you my brother!!
Wow Michael I love everything about the Canadian beaver. I'm a little sad that I can't be there. I would love to be there. You deserve nothing but the best you're doing so much good helping so many you are the best.
a kind heart goes a long ways..in the most unexpected way
You’re a good man Charlie Brown :)

Good luck mike to your business, that's a big help for some local 😊
Congratulations mike
Good luck Mike
Your Success means more Jobs for the Local ..🎉🎉🎉🎉
i believe he has 7 or 8.that is sustainable at this vlogs volume, will this volume be there in another few fortnights, months.when it's regular's clientele THE DRINKS ARE AMAZINGLY,POSITIVELY AFFORDABLE EVEN FOR LOCAL CONSUMPTION ;WE CAN ONLY HOPE !!..TO SUSTAIN HIS CURRENT EMPLOYEES.he needs to go wisely.8 employees is a lot to be able to employ SUSTAINABLY for a long time, assuming mike is at the least paying THEM the bare minimum wage here, WHICH equal 840.00 usd. per employee as described in the government web sight or around 800.00 sin. i don't know if the chef, the well resume bar tender and the security guard get even higher pay but, along with that he has a likely massive lease price from the astreio?hotel, plus if i understand it correctly additional rental outlay for the building, plus his new ocean rental, plus he stated he's keeping his other rental, and upgrades and wants to have live bands,i also assume typhoon insurance. and the regular monthly and associated bills. AND A NEW FAMILY AND NEW CHILD which everyone having a 3 year old to 14 ,who has one all know is very expensive by itself, kids need a LOT OF STUFF AND KIDS GET SICK- the medical bills here are extreme.just during less than 2 months during covid my fiance lost 50,000 sin, her 30 year saving just for 2 siblings intensive care. in less than 2 months. putting that last aside just his base bills, he is already employing 8 staff say at minimum=. the base employment alone is 6,720 usd or about 5,120 sin per month and thats not counting again everything stated except the child care costs.THAT HAS GOT TO BE A STAGGERING AMOUNT OF MONTHLY MONETARILY OUTLAY, JUST TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON!!I WISH HIM , AND YOU WISH HIM. 49K,wish him ALL THE LUCK!!especially taking on all this and with a new child and family.that seems like a huge unnecessary .uncertain..to me!! but iam not him.nor do i want to be.there is an old saying that a few 10's of thousands here and a few 10's of thousands there and as they say in the states-soon we are talking real money!!he needs to be every bit as smart as he seems to be and as independently wealthy!! as he seems to be...due to my fiance while she was working in a high wage very high .. job, which she still has,and my stipend she already bought 2 houses in a great spot, her other sibling a condo and her family a ocean property and house in Palawan iam already living the foreigner philippines dream at 400.00 sin a month.with our extra we can go regularly also to Boracay ,el nedo,baguio.ect. and come home safe, and we regularly personally give to charities EVERY MONTH out of our savings and employee a number of people, and plan in 10 to buy a farm and sell half our crops and give the other half annually to local starving families.(by doing it very, very carefully and frugally and self installed automation) and at least 2 additional small business's where ALL my fiance cares is breaking exactly EVEN,SHE WORRIES ABOUT EVERYONE IN THE PHILIPPINES so we can support as many poor, used by foreigners!!destitute families as possible 1st hand.IF MIKE DOES THIS JUST RIGHT,HE WILL LIVE HIS DREAM. if not EVEN millionaires have filed for bankruptcy. hopefully before agreeing he did a thorough risk assessment, researched the population density for that area!! including foreign potential population density.if he does the bar just right maybe/hopefully he'll be THE 20 % in the hospitality industry that make it!!80% fail rate in the 1st 5 years. his drink prices might be the EXACT thing were he makes it!!
8 so far,and i believe one of them is a literal GIFT!
I check your channel every day for a new vid. This one really made me smile. What a great crew and what great energy from everyone involved. Absolutely epic what you're doing and thanks for brining us along for the ride. 🍻
Your energy and optimism is refreshing and I'm sure inspirational to your employees. Congratulations and best of luck in your new journey!
Definitely will be ordering a mug when possible. Good luck on the opening. 🎉
Congratulations!!! All the best!!!
Following you with enthusiam, keep up the great videos. I admire your spirit my Canadian friend
Congratulations, wish you all the best❤
Phenomenal Job brother !!
42 years in the business Stateside..U.S.
Really great job !! 2 weeks !!
Try that in the U.S. ..Lol
I have
So excited to see ur Business, Michael. Wish you success in your new ventures…
Have you thought about installing a web cam so people can watch the bar activities there, especially your subscribers from around the world?
Not a good idea overlooking bars in the Philippines. You know the saying " By the way dear, I have a business meeting to attend and will be gone for 2 weeks". I think you can get the drift of what I am implying here.
i would agree, additionally, if there are times when it gets really slow, which will always happen(in ANY HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY), if there is a 14 hour 5 days a week live cam ,it would regardless of any real reflection give everyone the false impression!!watching =that bar is failing!!when that might not be the case, but for him personally?!?to have a cctv there, that the staff doesn't know and notice might be a somewhat slimy thing maybe, but a prudent thing, given that in that industry any employee in any country alone might do something not very honorable!!when no one is looking.
@@honestbrokertko You have some good points. I also thought that in some scenarios it could be counterproductive. I mainly just wanted to throw it out there for management chew on. Personally, if I did it, I wouldn't want it active all the time. Only during special events.
@@stevenhull5025 So true. It would have the ability to infringe upon people's privacy.
@@Morph7344 very good, i hear you.maybe they will.thanks for the conversation
Customer service: eye contact, informing the client if with delays/ encouraging positive feedback-using leading questions of course, conflict resolution are things most staff in the Philippines need training on.
Great start, congratulations,
I hope that wonderful chef you have has had fans installed in his kitchen now. That's a priority surely.. for that excellent man.
But what a great place you're making there. These first groups that came.. such a lovely atmosphere. I hope you're prepared to be VERY busy there.. Word of mouth will take over.. You'll be flooded (as you would say, 'but in a good way'..). All the best for 22nd Michael. We're all with you.
even though they have 4 new fans that exactly mike pointed out 4 minutes before entering the kitchen and feeling so sorry for the poor chef that there was no fan in the kitchen for him and he was sweating so much, myself and others pointed that he had 4 new!! fans portable fans for customers, with no opening for days, mike responded that he wanted to give the poor guy a ceiling fan and he'd feel bad if the cook had to use the portable fan prior for at some point having to move the portable one!!he is very caring!!though if he were in the kitchen and it got so hot from heat exhaustion everyone else would be the ones to move any fan to get him out, so it's a win win??
Happy for you Brother.
You’ve got such a great vibe. Your friendly nature meshes well with the locals friendly nature. And your outgoingness brings out the locals, you can tell they are “shy” but still very happy to engage.
What an amazing looking place.
Cheers from a fellow Canadian!
*I’ll by stopping by this fall when I head that way. 🥂
Well, congrats!
Hi! Everything looks amazing! I am so happy for you.
We will be there on the opening day. ☺️ Congrats! 🎉
I have to say your a marketing expert, great job crew.
Stay motivated there will be downs but if you stay positive it will overcome everything you got it!
You are doing a Fabulous job!! I'm excited for your restaurant and your new home!! Keep up the great work I'm a big fan of your channel! Thank you so much for sharing!! 👍
Very cool. I wish you much success
I'd add that there should be shirts Only available with special print that can be bought at your bar vs. those ordered online.
Might as well add printed mugs as merch.
I guess, he knows and does all that anyway 😉
Congratulations 🎉so happy for you. Keep it up my friend☀️
Good job Michael! I love the fact that live bands will be playing there. I would recommend a variety of musical styles.
I hear so many expats complain about karaoke, but it’s part of the Philippines. It’s the fun of the Philippines, as long as it isn’t 6 o’clock in the morning lol
how about karaoke's at 7 am (weekdays)? 😁
Yeah have a contest, win prizes. The winner is chosen by the crowd, so bring friends!
Karaoke are usually up to 9pm to 10pm depending in the city area. In the province, in secluded areas they don't care about rules as long as they can sing their heart out.
The foreigners wants to change the Filipino culture to a mesirable old frowning culture
@dirtyharry8629. Contests with teams: Canadian Carabou vs. Philippine Kalabaw/Carabao …
🦌🐃Karaoke @ the CB (cud make cute merch ie animated carabao & kalabaw in CB style) But, I get keep it simple for starters. I luv the Phil karaoke culture❤️💖🎙️🎤
Keep that vibe alive, let the filipinas do there thang, it'll be a sure thing that way , sana all 😊
Great development with your new rented house and resto! Congratulations bro🎉👍🇧🇭🇵🇭
Congrats on your new business 🎉
Excited for you Mike. Something I have not seen in Ph the 4xs I went is Jello shots. Brother with all the mango, banana, strawberries and more... with the coconut liquor... you would have the most unique Beaver Shot that would be next level. Easy to make, fun to take, AND there could be kids jello shots too which is just more of the juice instead of liquor! I may not be the first to suggest it but if I am I hope you're able to find a way to incorporate it at some point. Best wishes!
You should have a designated karaoke night because you can see how much the people love it❤👍
Congrats brotha! Man, you look so happy..it like, exudes from you..we can feel it all the way through the internet! From your first Philippines video through today.. is like watching you grow up and blow up! Keep killin' it Michael!!
Congratulations Michael... wishing you more success in your business. Possibly...more branches? 😊
