Some viewers have asked for cross shop info as well as more history on model lines. It's hard to deep dive in 6 or 7 days and get it all in one camera shot, but I'm going to try it out this year
I'm a Generation Y, also known as a Millennial, and I'm totally in love with the Jeep GC. I'm actually going to be selling my 2019 Jeep GC LTD X and buying the 2020 Summit with the Hemi. Once a Jeep enthusiast, always a Jeep enthusiast. I got my first Jeep GC as a high school graduation present. Been driving them ever since.
Picked up a Ivory White with all options except that $5K interior few weeks ago and absolutely LOVIN’ IT!!! Informative video, will have to find a hill to test out the paddles in hill decent.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is beautiful... the Ford Explorer has the looks but can't even fairly compete with this considering, they dropped the V8 in 2010 and no RWD locking availability. Which is stupid for that suv if you ask me.
I am older than you. I am 57. BMW was definitely what yuppies aspired to. I remember Cherokee and Ford Explorers were hot, but we didn’t really think of it as yuppie mobiles. I have a regular Laredo Grand Cherokee (current generation) Pentastar. My one recommendation is get a extended warranty. It pays for itself. On mine I had following things replaced under warranty: transmission intercooler, steering rack, oil pump and oil housing, PSIMs emissions module, thermostats, and window regulators. Great vehicle but get the warranty.
Love this video. Great content and POV. Any thoughts on this vs the 2022??? I have a 21 high altitude. Maybe wish I jumped another 10k and bought the Summit instead.
Great video on the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 5.7 Hemi. Down here in Australia one can only get the Summit powered by the 3.0 Litre Diesel.....Grrr! I don't want the diesel as I do not do the miles anymore as I am 66 and retired. The only V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee you can get new in Australia at present is the: S-Limited 5.7 HEMI, SRT, and the Trackhawk. The S-Limited does not have the Quadra Lift Suspension whish is a pity.
im watching i liked the video, thumbed up, but if u want constructive crticism, 40 min is wayyyy too long:) max imo 20 min.... people have a lot of videos to watch (subscriptions) , a job, a life ... 40 min to watch 1 car review or video is imo for most people too long...
Thanks. As you know, I'm not editing videos and I'm keeping my videos raw and real. It was a lazy Sunday morning and I did carry on a bit. However there are many features on modern cars and it takes time to get through it all. Also, I'm not a fast talker like Doug DeMuro and I'm not going to spew marketing spiel. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Thank you.
Ahh, UA-cam might still be processing the resolution. It should be 1080p. UA-cam announces new videos as soon as they are uploaded even though they are still being processed. You might want to check back in an hour or so. This 40 minute clip is over 3Gb.
@@RoadandTract a week later and it's only 720p which is much better than the 360p i was watching 2 hrs after you uploaded it. Might want to re-check settings on your end because if you uploaded it at 1080p (which i do believe you) and it still only goes to 720p a week later, something went wrong. 720p is perfectly fine for me. watching on desktop fwiw.
@@RoadandTract your opinion. You can say the same about the GC. here in the NYC metro area, Grand Cherokee have always been mall crawlers until they're 10 years old. The fact is, it came before the Grand Cherokee as a two row, off road capable, luxury Yuppie mobile.
I turned it off after 8 minutes to go find a video that actually went over the Jeep summit...but a suggestion, don't name the summit in a video if all your going to do for the first quarter of it is talk about your childhood and your struggles to get over 10,000. If you actually talked about the vehicle which is why I clicked on the video then that will help increase your subscribers.
That ear rape!. Perhaps you could invest in a Rode mic (or LG v20/v30 phone) with windscreen filter for your phone. I had to stop watching this the minute you stepped out of your car. It's difficult to hear you.
you made horrible mistake I am getting most of that on a limited and it is going to cost me $48,275; I am getting all of the safety features; and I am getting a hemi as well; doing it through the factory; is the only way; I am saving $6,000. up to $10,000.
You won't get the full set of skid plates like the trail hawk. You can't get the platinum package for that price or the leather package which makes the summit. You didn't save much of anything.
What a joy to hear you "talk shop", especially when you compare features across vehicle lines beyond the car you're driving. Very interesting!

@@RoadandTract Great Video-Nice Jeep Grand Cherokee
i know it's quite randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
@Zachariah Kendrick i would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
@Lance Westin yea, been using Flixzone for since march myself =)

Congrats!
That package is what makes the interior stand out IMO. I wouldn’t buy one without it.
The best review and straight shooter I love it

I’ve got a 2014 GC Summit with the EcoDiesel. Man I love it. Yes, you are right.... it is a yuppie mobile, and I’m a proud owner of one.
My dream machine right there! I hope you take it on some epic road trips.

the only thing missing from the Jeep Summit is a cooler to keep your drinks cool other then that is perfect
Best Grand Cherokee review ever!!

Lol... We have issues with camry drivers in Australia too except they drive really slow because Toyota's can't drive fast.
Our problem is that we have too many.
If the air suspension holds up until the warranty runs out its better than a Range Rover. Lol
This air suspension is now fitted on the new Ram trucks. I think it's robust and will outlast the warranty without a problem.
Well he thinks his poop don’t stink. Lol
It's glorious.

Can you tell me what color the outside of the summit grey
I believe it was called Granite Gray.
Difference between the summit and outlander, anyone?
Summit has a v8 option and better leather
the daddy is the Range Rover.
Not really. I've never seen a Range Rover do much other than pose in driveways.

Wait. This doesn't look like a Destroyer Grey Durango Road Trip Video.
Check out my Instagram account. You'll know what I'm up to.
