Your bust pan is also called your nipple to nipple measurement. The normal one you use for your body darts.
The wideness of the flare is totally on choice. You can make yours 5 inches on fold, then when you open it, it will be 10 inches wide. It’s dependent on how wide or moderate you want the flare to look.
