The first time I read this book, A shepherd looks at Psalm 23, by Philip Keller (was over 20 years ago) when I was first married in Canada. I took my children through this book in morning devotions before we started the school day when they were young. I can remember my youngest getting up to give mom a hug when parts of the book made me cry. I have always been deeply touched by the message of my Shepherd. While we did our devotions every morning my children memorized Psalm 23 & 24 over the time it took to finish Mr. Keller's book.
