I think most humans desire a certain amount of freedom.. However, given the ultimatum between freedom or economic prosperity, most humans would choose the latter.. Generally, individuals begin to yearn for more freedom as their economic and education increases.. A poor individual (and there are many) is more interested in putting bread on the kitchen table as opposed to thinking about why she has to wear a head scarf..
It still remains to be seen if freedom will be achieved and at what cost? We also may see a civil war in Iran and I can assure you, nobody will be free if this occurs!

The people are monitored by state authorities. When you buy a house you have to pay regular taxes on it, so the house doesn't belong to you, you are just the temporary owner. I never showed my hair on the street and wore my scarf “ properly”. it was not difficult not to show your hair in public. period.I am NOT religious, If i could do it, why can’t others???? 😳
